I downloaded a demo version of ARCHICAD SOLO and it was nothing like the archicad that I had used in the past. I will try to download a trial version of real archicad, but not sure I want to. Maybe I just use another program, like what google offers or some other software company.
Hi David, great content! All stuff I think about. Really cool. I am looking at moving from revit to archicad (so I can move to mac), but I am stuck on the fact that archicad doesn't seem to do pivot doors, custom door jambs/reveals, shadowlines within the door type etc.. Really keen on your thoughts around custom doors and windows in archicad and best practice. 👌
Take a look at the 4D library. It’s an add on for archicad but the best money you’ll ever spend, has all the features you’re looking for. Having said that, archicad by default has some of these features you’re looking for just buried deep into the settings haha
Aloha David, You are probably thinking to yourself, "Oh no... Not this crazy guy again!" I wouldn't blame you in the least. I did try again to download the trial version and did it right this time and got the proper full version. Much better! Now I need to check it out completely and although, I know I really like using it, can I afford it. Maybe if I head back to school... Anyway, I apologize for going off in the last couple of posts, and I was hoping that you can answer a quick question. Last time I used Archicad which was v14, I could press the scroll button on my mouse and be able to move the mouse to alter the 3D view. Is there a way to make that happen?
I'm sorry I don't find it very interesting since you did a whole course on archicad, and the new AC28 doesn't really make a difference. I can't wait to see the Horseshoe video though.
hello i love your ARCHICAD contents
Glad I could help :)
