- Delhi Police has been given the cctv footage of how three thieves stole a Maruti Swift car right outside the home of its owner in Rajori Garden on April 29 early morning. The three thieves came in a golden coloured Honda City parked it near the targeted car. At 4:49 am the first thiev went near the car, a stray dog barked and he shooed it away. After doing the recee he returned to his car.

My swift dzire got stolen from my house last week ! I would say one of the worst anti theft measures Maruti have in their cars.
You get what you pay for. Again, even Innovas and Fortuners have been stolen. Best thing is to park it in a private compound with some decent security guards (plural.)Not those who sleep or study at night. Always use a steering lock/ gear lock, and if possible plant a tracker in your car when it's parked outside. It barely costs 10k total.

swift has immobilizer, how did he do it? immobilizer means no short wiring starts the car, nor any normal key works, until it has its on with specific voltage.

I don't understand this, the theft alarm went on for a good amount of time. How the hell did none of the residents wake up to it? Looking around the vicinity i see a lot of cars which proves that there are numeorus houses near by. How the heck did none of them hear or wake up to that noise??!!
The thieves could have been locals with information about the owner. It is possible the owner was out for the night, maybe out of station.
Question is why didn't the others come out? Simple, this is India, and that too Delhi. Selfishness is a major part of the urban mentality. "Kisi aur ka (ghanta) baj raha hay, mera kya!" - that could have been the attitude.
We often come across impressive stories of people helping others in their hours of distress - but I guess those are just exceptions proving the rule.

Especially during an accident, you'd be surprised that while you are knocked out cold, instead of taking you to a hospital, people steal your valuables. No hope on this nation bro!
