Your videos are really good, i personally quite like Viego as a character he isnt Arthas but he is his own very interesting villain book specially made me see him in a different light

Ya i talk about this at the end. He has the potential to be a Lich King level character. But I dont like the Isolde Viego abuse portion. Makes him just a bad character outright
@@entgrove That's because nowadays it's cool to portray male leaders as toxic male, bad guys in the old lore before the release of vie was a much older, unspoiled brat like this one, the reason for the ruin was similar, that merged with his wife in the ritual, and the one who murdered isolde was a mordekaiser assassin, I liked their rivalry. "He was once a noble king, until sorrow overcame his wits." Expectations: a fallen noble king who lost his reason, a king with great knowledge and an iron hand who cannot be manipulated because of madness. Théoden like a king. Having a love like Invoker in dota 2 for his daughter.... and that's what we got a toxic, simpering shirtless king with a sword too big to wield.

Not, all characters need to be deep and secretly good. Some are just assholes, arrogant and just act in their own interest just like real life. And even before viego died he was an asshole. Not every character has to be tragic. He fills the antagonist role and is truly irredeemable.
@@penchev2843 Yes and thresh + Hecarim fit those molds. Making Viego just another one takes away from what he could be. No matter what, a character who is just bad will never be as compelling as a character who isn't. Even the Joker, arguably one of the best villains of all time, could have a case made for him not being all bad. Compare that to red skull who is just straight bad. not saying Viego is not still a decent character being straight bad. But he could be better is all I'm saying.
I always said that Viego is budget Arthas xD Viego's personality is garbage, Arthas, however, if cool af. He's the best anti-hero turned villain that Azeroth ever had. Also, Yone is 100000x better written as a character than Viego will ever be.
I'm only okay with Viego being portrayed as a possessive spoiled child, if they make that version an in universe false perception. The cinematic Isolde made their love sound true, perverted by postmortem obsession.
In the Ruination book Viego is alright before Isolde's poisoning, he has a goal of reform Camavore moving away from the "questing" ideal of Camavore going around invading other countries to take their treasures, he clearly still has severe anger control issues and emotional underdevelopment specially when Isolde gets hurt but she is a anchor for him to control himself.
Was never really interested in RIOT MMO lore until now. Great Video!

Solid video, but I think that Viego has more in common with Kael'thas than with Arthas on the character side, and not on the superficial side.

Do you think the wider magical side will come forth?
I am hopeful for arcane to move to a camavor/blessed isles season but I think Noxus is more likely with how much Noxus was involved in Piltover/Zaun
