Same problem here. When engine heats up I get a knocking noise. Bringing in my Meteor for service. I hear synthetic oil and higher octane gas helps smooth out the noise.
@@naveenkumard1052 yes, basically it's the design of the engine. It's very noisy when it warms up. I listened to other meteor 350s and they all sound like this when warmed up. Use full synthetic oil helps.
Same problem Brother,it’s like knocking drums from left upper side of engine,and as I rev the engine it increases more in 2,3 gear…same story was told by me from the dealers that your bike is in warranty and if any thing happens we are there , but no solution was there even companies engineer diagnosed my bike and at last he also gave green signal that no thing will happen … my bike sounds like ktm after reving in 2- higher gears … it’s meteor 350
Hello from Thailand, my Meteor is the same, when cold the engine is quiet, but after 5 minutes the engine sounds terrible, worse than your video, it has been like it from new, I took the bike straight back to the RE dealership but was told it was normal, I explained to them I have been a motor mechanic for more than 40 years and the noise sounds like a bearing failure, they keep telling me not to worry as the machine has a 3 year warranty which is why I have not taken the engine apart myself, I feel like the dealership is hoping the bike lasts 3 years so they don't have to honour the warranty, if the bike makes it to it's next service (10,000 kms) I am going to be insistant they explore the problem
hi..slowly increase the rpm and at a certain point you will notice a rattling noise...check if this noise exists..also it normally increases and gets much louder once the engine has fully heated up...it needs to be rectified asap..

Bro I just took delivery of meteor 350 last week and have a bad tappet noise after engine heats up. Should I get it adjusted? Did your sound go away after adjustment?
exactly the same case with me.... I thought some bolts are loose on the left side... so irritating sometimes. the vibrations also get increased when engine is properly heated up.
Can you please confirm a knocking noise?? I have faced this sound just before the bike stalls. It's a LOUD TAAK TAAK TAAK sound that also becomes apparent when revving the bike at high speeds: 5th gear----70kph and revving hard gives this sound. Can anyone confirm?
My Meteor sounds worse than this from the left hand side, the RE dealer I bought it from tells me it's normal, when I asked why don't all Meteor's make the same noise if it's normal, they just look at me as though I'm stupid and tell me not to worry the bike has a 3 year warranty, hmm, so why don't you investigate I ask, if I was Royal Enfield I would want to find out the problem, to me, it sounds like a bearing failing on the crank
I have sent my bike to the service center for inspection and tappet clearance adjustment..it's very important to follow the initial run-in rules mentioned in the bike manual..
@@rlalduhsaka6746 Hi..no...not at all...as soon as the engine heats up..the rattle noise is back..and it's more significant at a particular rpm range..if you rev hard it reduces..then as you rev down it re appears...they told me nothing needs to be done as the noise is in the optimum db level when checked using a decibel meter..so I am back to square one..looks like RE cannot do anything about this issue..or just doesn't want to .
What I learnt from this experience is that..may be, if the rules mentioned in the owners manual are not followed..(over revving) or not following the gearshifting ratios during the first 500-2000kms, these issues will occur and then RE cannot or will not take responsibility for it...

My Himalayan made a metallic noise between 3000 and 4000rpm which improved with higher octane gasoline and liquid moly emgine reiniger.

Hey there.. send a mail to RE , don't listen to the local dealership...just send the main and get it sorted in waranty.

Try to adjust clutch cable by following ol man ronin video. I faced this issue, till yesterday. Did all by myself with 12 mm spanner, its resolved

At 0:09 we can heard a metallic sound, can be dangerous for engine health
Tappet noise. You have to get the valve clearance adjusted. I have it too. Not going away

I have this too, when cold its quiet but when warm the engine knocks ! seems worse the left side ! Bike has done 1500 km

@@rahulmenon17 Okay, what I did is switch to higher octane fuel, has significantly reduced this issue.
Please adjust the timming chain and tappet.
