Brilliant. I grew up a coupla years behind Lloyd. He was at uni in Glasgow around same time I was at college there. I think so.e of del amitri were at Glasgow Tech just before me where Deacon Blue played my freshers Ball. Saw the commotions at secc. Years later saw lloyd at Óran mor. Lloyd, me my gf and the audience had a very intimate funny night. Love him. thank you so much. I can still sing the commotions songs to this day. Charlotte St means a lot to me as I'm from Edinburgh.

One of the great singer/songwriters of all time.
Fuckin' Bloody Great.Seen him play live 3 times, he's always funny & self deprecating & sounding fab.
Lloyd's ostensible "self deprecation" is far from sincere.
But you knew that.
The Don't Get Weird and X album are the pinnacle of Lloyds career. No Blue Skies is perfect. Lloyd still looks good. Can't get much more underrated. When you got looking for the best of Lloyd Cole you come up with his Commotion records which were not as good as they first two records. TeLL YOU SISTER, NO BLUE SKIES, THE ONE YOU NEVER HAD, FOR THE LIONS are tops.
Don't forget Weeping Wine, loser.

Yes as Rachel said so underrated - a genius in his own right. Rattlesnakes is one of the best records in pop history. I think they were unfortunate to appear in a moment where there was some much talent in the UK and some great artists did not get the credit they deserved
