Thank you a lot Miss Wagashi. As a person that i have never tried dango before, you explained everything even how the texture of the dango is and you gave alternative options to the things that i really can't get in my local stores ( tofu and potato starch. Thanks again, will enjoy making the dango with your detailed description !!!
I've always wanted to try dango but I can't really get it where I live so I tried making it a few years back with a recipe that said I needed to use a bamboo steamer and that was awful the dough stuck to everything and the dango we inconsistently cooked so I was very dissapointed and kinda just gave up on it. I am so glad I've been craving them again recently and was able to find your recipe. It looks really easy to do and I see a lot of comments praising the recipe. Therefore thank you very much for making this video 🥰

This is so helpful! I was planning to make dango today and the amount of recipes with different kinds of rice flours, some including tofu and some without really made me confused, thanks!
what’s a nonalcoholic substitute for mirin? i really want to make these🥺 EDIT: i made these without mirin, i just added a tsp of vinegar instead. my sauce would just not thicken at all, so i ended up adding an extra 1/4 tbsp of corn starch and that worked out for me! anyway, these mitarashi dango tasted so great, im defintely making them again!! thanks for the recipe!!!
It's ok to make without mirin and make the sauce with rest of the ingredients! Great that your method worked well! Thank you so much for asking a question and leaving your comment ! ❤
Some recipes call for a bit of salt in the Mitarashi Dangos most sugar , which one is the proper in Japan? If need to reheat the Dango and Sauce which way is best; Microwave or stove top? Arigato gozaimasu
Do you know what the effects of cooking the dango too long are? I know if you undercook they have an undercooked flavor. Perhaps it’s just better for me to cook longer than usual to err on the side of caution?
Thank you for explaining the purpose of the tofu in this recipe. But I am confused. Did I misunderstand you? You said if I leave out the tofu, to just use more water, yes? Do we also add more flour? Thank you.
Mitarashi dango recipe is available now! Glaze your sweet dumplings with generous amount of mitarashi sauce!

excellent video. How to maintain the dango throughout the day?
Hello! Thank you very much for your lessons :) Please tell me how long I can store raw dough in the refrigerator or freezer?
Ty so much for the video. Can i use corn starch instead of potato starch?
Yes, corn starch will do ! Thanks for your question:)
Very good

I read on some websites said the mirin could be substituted with sake and white vinegar, is it possible? Tks in advance
So it cannot be exposed longer time not eating it after the finish product?

Make without mirin if you don’t have it. Thanks for your question:)

I can't eat mirin and what can I use to substitute (I can't have alcohol)
Thank you for explaining the purpose of the tofu in this recipe. But I am confused. Did I misunderstand you? You said if I leave out the tofu, to just use more water, yes? Do we also add more flour? Thank you.
I mean you can use water instead of tofu. In that case, add water little by little to adjust the water amount. ☺️🍡
I made this today and i recommend not to make it with crumbly tofu😭 The dango itself is not so tasty but the sauce is HEAVEN.
Thank you for sharing your feedbacks!!Yes, please use soft tofu for dango :) Glad you liked the sauce !🍡❤️
How come I only got 9 dango balls? I made them incredible small.. about half a golf ball
