4 year old: - Driven by fear and anger - Prone to tantrums - Extremely selfish - Intransigent when confronted with facts - Lacking any personal insight 100% the description of a Tory if I've ever heard one.
When I taught in secondary school, we were often shocked at how right-wing students tended to be until about 13 or 14. I don't know what would change them exactly, whether it was brain changing due to puberty, increasing social awareness or something else but they would have almost all abandoned those values by the time they were doing their GCSEs.
4 year olds tend to be self-centred, have a simplistic view of the world and are prone to tantrums So a pretty good fit for "right wing", if you think about it!
@@keirmitchell5560hating people for something they don't eat is not sensible or grown up. It's pathetic and is not going to bring the tories back to relevancy
hahahaha, but wasn't it about 6 months to a years ago the Tories were complaining about primary school kids learning about politics? (maybe 18 months ago, let's be fair.)
@fssstyuniaf Yeah, we don't go take kids to slaughterhouses to see how food is made, just trips to little farm petting zoos, which are so detached from the reality of farms.
@@sarahjaneross2918I vividly remember passing a market on holiday as a kid with my sister and us both being horrified by animals in small cages, realising they weren’t pets. It changed our world view in that moment and my sister immediately went veggie for a good few years. It took me a bit longer but I’m now pretty much vegan, as much as my health will allow. And idk about her unfortunately. But yeah we were both quite young then, like 5-7. We got it but we had to see it.
I'm really glad you had Helena on to discuss this because I admire Helena's views/opinions/analyst much more than most people talking about this. Especially when it comes to economics and class
Remember, her parents come from Nigeria so their values/ priorities would be different than if they were born in the UK. She would have acquired some of this growing up. * I lived there for many years
I have family there, its very divided by wealth and class, like the uk, but on steroids, but if you have wealth there, you show it off to an astonishing level
She's obviously educated but not very bright ! I saw her being interviewed and she was saying she couldn't ununderstand why everybody was criticizing Israel !? If she gets into Power GOD HELP US !
4 is a bit young but I was already politicised at 7. My family was environmentally conscious. And at school my first grade teacher gave us anti nuclear power stickers.
Presumably her child went to the same nursery as Rachel Johnson’s kid and also asked the priest whether they believe Jesus to be true or knows Jesus to be true when they were two years old. Somebody’s telling porky pies
I think I learned what right-wing was first from Joseph's Technicolour Dreamcoat. No one had rights or a vote but the king. In fact you could say, he was fairly right-wing.
Today I made Sriracha cashews. Just coat cashews in Sriracha and dry/bake it in an oven until dryish. Pleast tell me how you find this recipe and if the family enjoyed this dinner.
She didn’t say anything that sounded like her four year old was right wing. It just sounds like her four year old just likes eating meat! That’s not right wing! 😂
Well sounds like Kemu's kid isn't going to live very long eating like that, but maybe none of us will want to live very long if Kemi ever gets into power!!!
All joking aside, with the way kids consume information on the internet, and how politicized everything is, I can honestly see the possibility of kids becoming political quite early. Heck, my 8 year old daughter is political 🤣 Started talking about how there should be laws governing autonomy and freedom for kids.. I was just reminding her of her bedtime 🤦♂

I can see why a screaming, self-centred child with limited exposure to the world would be right wing... sure. No further comment.
Sure. But they shouldn’t be imposing that on their four-year-old.

Interesting how right wing politics, as taught by Badenoch, is primarily about being outraged at other people’s personal choices.
They can hardly tell the truth. The right wing wouldn’t exist.

Damn, I thought you were talking about Donald.
A four year old really shouldn't have a political leaning, a tad disturbing.
Don't worry, it's not real. She's just using her kids as political chesspieces. When they're old enough to understand, they'll object and/or hate her.
Most 4 year olds hate sharing and have difficulty empathising with others. Seems like they're natural right-wingers at that age. 😃
And these are the people that said children shouldn’t have gender identity and sexual orientation.
She's probably just echoing her mother at this stage. She can't have any sort of political ideas of her own. She's only 4!
When I was a Kid I didn’t even know what a prime minister was and rightly so.
It’s not the child’s fault, she must have heard it from grown-ups around her.
sensible grown-ups then.

They need more vegetables and fruits...😮
So became working class while at her McDonalds job, and her child is right wing.
Sure Kemi, both totally normal, sensible things to say.
The tory members are going to remind her that she is not one of them and never has. Jenrick will win
No child is born racist! No one-year old comprehends racism. Two years of Badenoch's motherhood seems enough to enrage the child.
I think maybe someone needs a visit from social services?
Radicalising your children is not socially acceptable.
There's always one. Every single time 😂😂😂🤦♂️
Michael is such a natural presenter, funny, relaxed well informed. Keep up the good work young man
Aaron calls him 'The Big Dog', I love their banter when on together.
If you had to pick someone stupider than Liz Truss, it could only ever be Kemi.
I blame the parents.
Indoctrinating the kids!
The Third Reich's principle!
So she throws tantrums and cries.
The child most probably has been threatened with having their finger nails pulled out if they didn't agree with the nutter
Oh dear, Badenoch has bred 😞
Bit mean to the child
Wait and see. Maybe her offspring will surprise us yet.
You saw it here. Tories have the thought processes of a 4 year old
hahahaha, but wasn't it about 6 months to a years ago the Tories were complaining about primary school kids learning about politics? (maybe 18 months ago, let's be fair.)
Oh dear poor child, will grow up with deep seated insecurities.
Not liking slitting animals' throats was something I definitely didn't like as a child. And still don't. Surely that's just empathy not politics?
It is, and your empathy in turn informs your politics.
Kids don't really join the dots and make the connections - adults try to keep the reality away from them. For obvious reasons
@berniethekiwidragon4382
Good point, I suppose it does, especially as the Tories tend to lack it.

"Unserious" - well said. We need a real opposition with the govt being so dominant in the HoC and this is what we have?

4 year olds should be laughing & having fun. Poor kids having her as a mother. 😢
Not choosing which gender they want to be identified as?
Aaron summed them up perfectly, "deeply unserious people "
I share Helena's fears that unless Starmer starts helping the working class he is leaving the door open for Farage's far right crew in 5 years time.
Helena said it all" Tories are completely out of touch with the real world.
The country doesn’t need anymore right wing we already has the New new Labour party and the Tory’s + the absentee landlord Farage bring back Corbin

Isn't middle class the same as working class?
I went on a tour around Buckingham Palace years ago and while I was in there I was royalty. And I’m now working class again because I have a job.

Has he taken to shouting at people outside the Jobcentre yet, like Harry Enfield's Tory Boy?
The world is so weird when the type of food you eat can define your politics

Well according to Free Gear Kier, if you are concerned about immigration in UK you are Far Right.
Is she saying that being right wing is equivalent to having the moral code and intellectual sophistication of a 4 year old?
Kids can't choose their gender but they can choose their politics apparently.

If you think about it a little bit - that tracks. You also have to stop right-wingers from eating crayons
Given the intellectual age of most of the politicians in Government, maybe Kemi's child could run to be Tory leader.
When did vegetarian become a "left-wing" thing?
