Usually when the safety stat has tripped it's due to the non-resettable one failing. The only other cause generally is opening the door whilst the heater is on, and thus the heat contained in the element isn't carried away by the airflow, causing the safety stat to trip. Best to advance the machine to its cool-down cycle for a minute before opening the door or otherwise stopping the machine. Nice clear video offering a concise basic troubleshooting methodology 👍
Brilliant!! Picked up a dryer myself with the same problem.. girl ended up buying a new one... one "click" on the reset button, and away it went! Its amazing how many people dont take the time to actually check their bloody appliances, but would rather buy a new one! Very satisfying hearing that reset click! Great job!! 👍
Thank you for your video, which helped me a lot. The tumble dryer works!!! It's only 4 years old and hasn't been used that much. I would like to say one thing : Do not open it during the drying program because then the thermostat goes crazy and this is often the reason why I stop heating. I just learned this from another source, but I hope it will be useful to others as well.
Backhoes generally have 2 nested filter mechanisms. You removed and cleaned the 1st filter, but there is another filter inside. I don't know if you need it after 1 year :)
Thank you you saved me €140. My dryer kept tripping my switch I cleaned it an Still didn't work I open up the bk an there was an quality street wrapper stuck at the heat springthank you 🙏
Mine trips the rcd after a few seconds running. What would you check first? I popped a small bit of hose under the dryer and was clogged. I cleaned that out but still the same
I have a newer model and it was heating but not drying. Replaced the pump but no change. Today I looked inside at the holes in the back of the drum and realised the area behind the drum was full of impacted lint - no clue how so much of it got past 2 filters. I got it all out with tweezers because I was too scared to take the whole back panel off (I did take off the felt panel like you did in this video). I came to ask - do you think it would be ok for next time to unscrew the whole back metal panel? Or is that risky?
Same model and problem. The red button will not click. Is it likely a new heater will solve the problem or does it need a new red button as well? Thanks.
I have the exact same dryer..mine has just started to stop saying the water tank is full but it is infact empty and is not collecting water..its all leaking at the bottom instead..i think theres a blockage somewhere..can anyone help please? 🙏🙏
Thank you for the reply but I went at it myself earlier and got the front clip off and seen it's a bigger inside unit. Just my luck. Have it ordered now and waiting 🙏🥰
Hi. i love how informative this video is. Will be sure to subscribe. I have an issue with my Beko DCU7230S condenser drier. It is tripping the RCD but only when I press the start button to start to machine going and it happens instantly when the start button is pressed. It doesnt trip when I turn the power on. Would this suggest an issue with the heating element? Any help on this would be hugely appreciated. Thanks. Oliver
Mine works with no heat at all , thermostats are fine and element even replaced for the sake of it and still the same problem could it be the pcb control board
My beko condenser sensor dryer. Is heating up but keeps turning itself off. All the lights go out on the control panel. Possibly an issue with the PCB?
@@bootsowen this is weird, the element looks good and I have continuity across the fuses but still no heat. Element showing about 34 ohms and 65ohms on the 2 loops which I guess are high low?
No worries, found looking for replacement parts that are common that they have a front thermostat too so I think that's popped rather than the back and whoever looked in the back didn't look further.
@@bootsowen Yes sorry I did. I was in a spin. I went to sort out a machine very similar to that but with LCD display she said it was spinning for a minute and stopping. It ran perfectly for me but she says its still not working since. No tank light and its heating properly any ideas?
What if there is no reset button? My machine gives error code E60, I have cleaned the reducer, strainer and seal. It didn't help. Suggestions for what to do next?
@@bootsowen E60 means that the seal, strainer and condenser must be cleaned. the door handle/lock is broken. the door can be closed but I'm not sure if it's tight. can the machine stop heating if the door is not tight?
How do i get to the pump to unblock it?? You mention in the video it could be blocked with a tiny bit of fluff, but i dont know how to get to it to unblock it. Thanks
I have this exact machine and moisture is leaking from where you removed off that metal/form part at the back of the machine through the small cracks. Any ideas how I stop the water steeping through the small cracks?
I have this machine and it keeps cutting out less than a minute into the cycle. I have cleaned it all, took the back off and checked the trip button (couldn't press it). Do you have any suggestions? Thank you 😊
Hi,my dryer stopped working suddenly and now doesn't have any power. No beeping and no light came on. Do you know what the problem could be? It's the same dryer like that one from the video. Thank you!
@@bootsowen I've checked the plug, it's working. I've replaced the fuse but still nothing. I put some clothes in to dry them and it suddenly stopped after 10,15 minutes. Thank you!
Hi, firstly thanks for all your effort on the videos, your methodical approach to fault finding has taught me loads. I was wondering if I could pick your brain. Beko dryer is tripping the RCD with a beep once up to temp, about 10 mins in. Engineer has installed new door seal, main board and heating element but no joy. Pump/float for condenser is also working fine and I’ve cleaned everything as per this video, any ideas before I concede defeat? Suppressor issue perhaps or is that usually on startup? Cheers!
I have almost the same model that is heating normally but sometimes it is stopping the cycle just after 10 minutes and the flashes for filter and tank starting to flash it means that the tank or filter are full but they are not so i have to start again and again until it finishes the cycle
I know this post is a year old, I have the same dryer and today it just completely went off and there is no power to it now. Check the fuse it's fine. Plugged it back in and still no power. Do you have any suggestions?
I have this exact model and have for around 2 years. All clean and dandy. Today, mid cycle, it turned the child lock on itself (my partner swears it wasn't him) and now we can't get the child lock off so cant use the dryer. We even clicked the the button, turned off and held down the buttons for various seconds and combinations and it's still stuck on 🥲
Hi I have the 8kg model basically the same, I load it empty water collection drawer/tank immaculate just set it off and makes a little noise and does nothing any ideas guys, would be much appreciated, cheers everyone
i just watched this video 1 in the morning and i could not wait to fix my dryer jumped out of bed and its working..thank you man
Mate, you are a gem 💎. I followed your video and repaired my dryer. Was exactly the same issue, that button. Top man ❤
Great to hear!

It’s the only way to be sure that you have the lint out

A multimeter might tell you.
I have a similar model to this in Beko ,the dryer stopped suddenly and no power now ,checked plugs sockets ,,,wonder if it's the actual power cord???

You seem to have diagnosed the issue. Take the pump apart at the back and clean it. Easy.
Have you any idea how to get the door lock out of this model? My son stuck a spoon in mine yesterday and broke it. TIA 🙏
do they have a lock, is it not just a catch?

Can you tell where the capacitor is
? as mines humming and not starting
Have a look at the video I put up today, the cap is usually beside the motor. Inside, at the bottom.

I guess. You could check if voltage is getting to the element when it’s running. But I wouldn’t advise that unless you are electrically proficient
I got the washer version of that lol got it last month it’s good tbh

Any idea what size the screws on the back are? I've got one someone opened and failed to repair but they binned/lost the screws.
Usually similar to other screws in the machine, some kind of self tapping thing.

Much water?
We have a CANDY and the condenser won't drain into the tray - the water stays in the condenser. How do I fix that? Machine looks fluff-free. Thank you
Sometimes the pump that pumps the water to the tray gets blocked. See if it is? Usually you have to take a panel off the back

Well it sounds like something is blocked. Have a look at the back of where the condenser goes
