Would like one as a commercial fishing boat running on diesel outboards + generator, with an enclosed cabin and full awning. It will effect performance but I’m sure it would still run exceptional for my needs

Nah it wouldn’t if you rode in one. The ride in these are impeccable. You expect a smashing/jarring of your teeth when you come down off a big wave like in a mono hull boat… but it cascades down like landing on a pillow. It’s wild. If you rode in one, you wouldn’t want to fish anything else

what I don't understand is years ago when offshore racing was poplar it was always the deep v boats that beat and rode batter than the cats in rough seas? Sick boat either way.
That flex is on purpose, similar to the idea of a plane wing being able to flex over 20 degrees... when you’re dealing with that kind of torque and mass you need to allow the engines to be able to flex on the transom slightly.

Ken C about a half dozen trips out of Venice La. You do the math. Been out in a yellow fin contender and older gravois. Freeman has best ride in my humble opinion. Not arguing about seas.

Who is measuring the seas? Those are 2-3’s tops, look no white caps, maybe a 4-6 swell at 15 seconds.
