As a Kashmiri, I would like to point out that indeed we're seeing development in infrastructure but crime rate is continuously increasing along with drug abuse. This being more common in educational institutions gets reported right away but the police and government seems to have turned a blind eye to such issues that actually matter. We're seeing horrific cases of murder and rape that we never heard of before 2019. Yet the government does not care and is only focused on showcasing their efforts towards "development". I don't believe it to be development unless it's holistic. Buildings don't make a nation.

It is a wonderful movie with great performances. A critiques job is to highlight the flaws in the movie for sure but yours went a little overboard which the movie does not deserve . How can a movie on Kashmir be complete without the mention of Pulwama

I don’t know about the stats or anything here. But what i do know is that when i went to Kashmir in 2023, most local people out there are saying that they are happy with the economical growth that followed post abrogation of 370. None have complained whatsoever with some even praising the move. The problem is that most channels will obviously not show the good that is being said, but will rather prefer to highlight the statements and words of those few handful of locals who are against this move. This is what brings “masala” in the end.
