Athena's design, song, and fight are so much fun! I just adore that her appearance makes her blind and deaf to anything that doesn't matter to her. Fantastic cover!
Yep, everything in these lyrics screams out how much she is obsessed with herself and her vision.
It's even better in the savage when all the mechanics are failed scientific theories, and her enrage has her yelling in exasperation about this world persisting. Truly an intriguing character

I take it you dis not do her savage fight, Then. She's incredibly unforgiving in Savage. Paradeigma 3, Superchain Theory II A and II B, Caloric Theory 1 amd 2, Classical Concepts 1 and 2, Pangenesis, So, Many, 1 mistake all die type mechs.

@@IzanaKunigiri Sorta missing what was being said there, my dude, it has nothing to do with how deadly the attacks are, it's that all the attacks are named after theories that have long since been dismissed or refuted by the scientific groups they were relevant to, the joke/theme being that she's too up herself (or outdated given her age/rebirth in the modern age) to realise that--like bringing back a doctor from the 1800s who still believes that the humours need to be drained refusing to acknowledge modern medicine
Real ones remember "Thirsty for Wool" in the lyric video.

I love how menacing the song is, but it's upbeat as hell.
I have listend to this song so many times. This is the first time I payed attention to the lyrics. She is more evil then i thought.

Soken really just went full old-school trance with this (i'm talking Armin van Buuren, Vincent de Moor kinda stuff), and I'm ALL for it. Pandæmonium had a really good mix of genres for all its music, with my favorite still being Embers (P8) being something out of the 90s Sega sound team era, but this is my second fave.
I enjoyed it a ton, same with White Stone Black giving some rep to Industrial

Y‘know, I like to think that, rather than Athenas theme being made up of the other Pandaemonium themes, its the opposite.
Athena left part of her influence even in the music
That's the idea, yeah. Since all the keywardens and researchers you encounter all use part of SPOILER's theme in their fight tracks, and then you get to Athena where her song musically reveals the manipulations she'd enacted in the story of the raid.

I did this tier as my first savage last year. Athena is so mean and I loved it. P10S was still my favorite. Harrowing Hell was so fun as WHM XD

It's always with these fights where I absolutely hate it when I'm progging it in savage but when I'm done with them I feel sad that they're over. The music is always so good and the fights end up being really fun when you can master every mechanic.

This was the raid tier I got back into raiding on a whim. Yeah, that savage fight is definitely intense, but I got my axolotl mount about two months ago. It makes me happy.
That footage was from the Savage version! I remember many nights of stretching tethers, running to towers and aiming laser beams away from pals. Phase 2 is something else entirely.

Kinda funny how he goes "I don't even know if there's a savage version", while watching a video that's using footage of the Savage version. I get it and wouldn't expect a casual to know the ins+outs of raiding, but still funny to hear.
That is one of those moments known as “streamer brain”. I am doing so many different things at the same time, I forget info that I absolutely know. I even said at the end or after the video ended that I knew there was a savage version XD

Yeah, I'll do normal mode but not savage. He says until his static FC drags him into the fight kicking and screaming.
For a player who's only experience with high-end content is Extremes, yeah I can see how it can be horrible. Not having enough mitigation or heals can definitely wipe the party on top of needing to read multiple debuffs for what to do and where to go.
As someone who has cleared it, the feeling is satisying as usual + the music
@@LazyVanny It's not really that bad of a fight honestly. It's just a lot of body checks during the major mechanics. They were already kinda burned out before they even started the tier, and blind progging this really didn't help. Plus it takes longer than usual due to "NEST shenanigans (aka Corey "Hugs")". I don't think he is wrong, because it's his opinion, but it's an opinion that I don't share.

learning ultimate weapon ultimate was easier for my group than athena savage xD
Personally i like the previous last fight theme White Stone Black better, it's more atmospheric. It also helps the fight itself is way better than Athena.

Edit: Also yes this one gives the Axolotl mount on savage. It's the ONLY REASON I might learn savage.
