•The reason why they have Barbara Streisand on there is because In its original airing on Comedy Central the episode was presented in "Spooky Vision" which added images of Barbra Streisand to the sides of the frame. This was in response to Streisand who criticized the show after her portrayal in season one's Mecha-Streisand (1998). The episode occasionally aired in syndication without images of Streisand. • 10:04 Whenever Cartman and his doppelganger are seen side by side, there is a visible line down the middle of the screen. This is a nod to the old film splicing effect that used to be done to make an actor play two roles and appear to be standing side by side. If the process was not done properly the splice line could be easily seen. Instances of this include Kenny being unevenly placed between the lines as well as other distortions done purposely. • In Mirror, Mirror (1967), an episode of the 1960's TV. series Star Trek, the Evil Spock from the parallel universe had a goatee while the Good Spock did not. Here, the Good Cartman from the parallel universe (who is supposed to be evil) has a goatee while the real (evil) Cartman does not. • The Tiny Alien being run over by Ms. Crabtree's bus in the beginning of the episode was also seen in Starvin' Marvin in Space (1999) and in Goobacks (2004). It was also seen in Le Petit Tourette (2007) but as a toy in the store Cartman is at in the beginning. It was also seen in Cancelled (2003), eating at the alien cafeteria.
Interesting bit of trivia. I can't help but notice the amount of Star Trek references in the earlier 2 seasons of South Park. They even had an episode that was basically a reimagining of it.
That "Why'd you take his pants off? Sh-sharon...whyd you gake his pants off?" That awkward silence and really disturbing behaviour and she just brushed it off with menopause, hilarious.
South Park Halloween episodes in order!!! • S3 E10: Korn’s groovy pirate mystery • S21 E6: Sons of witches • S22 E5: The scoots • S23 E5: Tegridy farms Halloween special Tips watch S22 E4: tegridy farms first before you going to the newer episodes between S22 to S25. A side track but still about iconic animation; could you consider creating a reaction tribute to the late and amazing Kevin Conroy? He passed away last November, and was the sole reason I got into acting. I have a voice acting background and there are some preconceived notions that it's not as demanding as regular acting; but the vocal training itself and perfecting the craft may take more time than any acting school. l feel like he's a bit underrated as Batman (ditto Mark Hamill as Joker) and even non existent in the conversation. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in those new Resident Evil games :)
7:54 I know this is a dumb place to bring it up, but bipolar and multiple personality disorder (accurately dissociative identity disorder) are very different. The city sushi episode, even though it’s dumb and the doctor perpetuates the negative stigma of people with DID to be violent, shows how it is; the person switches between distinct personalities sometimes randomly but usually because of stressors or timing (Dr. Janice switches around the time he has to meet the city sushi guy). IRL they’ll usually space out/pause, the dissociative part of “dissociative identity disorder”. It’s not impossible, but only having two identities (what Cartman’s case appears to be) is really uncommon, and DID is usually specified as “two or more distinct personalities”. Personalities is also a somewhat inaccurate word, since a separate personality, more accurately alter, is like a different person. Their age, maturity, and how their behavior is changes, along with their “true” appearance. Some alters aren’t even human, even if they behave/communicate like one. Bipolar disorder is very different. There’s different severities (bipolar I, bipolar 2, and cyclothymia mainly, the third of which I have). Very simply it’s going between depressive states and manic states. Mania is usually misinterpreted as being crazy or violent because of the term “maniac”, but involves specific behaviors and heightened energy with a lot of impulsivity and disregard of consequences. It is not just mood swings, or randomly acting different, as a lot of people think. My own mania is triggered mostly by stress and more uncommonly new experiences/weather. Idk what my real point is, I just like bringing up mental health topics and trying to clear some misinfo about it. Quick disclaimer, I do not have DID nor am I a therapist or studying this stuff seriously, so this might have some inconsistency/misinfo, but I’m fairly certain it’s accurate.
I have borderline personality disorder which has a lot of similarities with bipolar. I think somewhere I read that borderline was now called emotional dysregulation disorder Basically I don’t go back to baseline very easily (like Craig, lol) either I have, in the past, been really happy and excited with tons of energy and then suddenly it’s like something clicks and I feel tired, irritable, and depressed. I still understand how that part of it is going to happen. For instance, I went to Disneyland in February of 2020. I had a great time there, I rode a lot of rides, did some shopping. Hung out with my mum. On the drive back home I broke down crying because my brain had been so happy and upbeat that when I crashed I didn’t just ‘calm down’ I swung to the negative of crying. I know what to expect now.
I think the other Cartman's beard is a reference to the Star Trek episode 'Mirror Mirror' where the Enterprise crew ends up in a parallel dimension where they are evil. The evil version of Spock had a beard.
Goatee not beard. But yes its one of MANY Trek references in South Park, take for example in the episode "Something you can do with your finger" when Randy learns about Stan being in a boy band he screams NO and smashes the china cabinet, the audio of the NOOOOO and glass shattering is directly taken from Star Trek First Contact when Picard screams No and smashes his phaser rifle into the ship display in his ready room and in the season 1 episode Damien where Satan and Jesus have the boxing match and Stan tells Jesus the "Don't try to be a great man" line, that is also from First Contact, Riker says it to Cochran and tells Cochran its something he said, the full quote is "don't try to be a great man, just be a man and let history make its own decision."
10:03 I think thats suppose to be a crack at how comedy shows like "family matters" or "thats so raven" when there would be a look alike character played by the same actor and they would splice the footage together, but ends up looking weird
With Cartman (Alternate) With the goatee, it's also an Original Star Trek reference to the Mirror Universe. In the Mirror Universe, characters are evil with goatee but South Park, they made Cartman good. So if they focused on the boys as well, they would be evil.
FYI the whole thing with Sharon saying "I have such a good boy" etc, is from "The Bad Seed". Really good old movie about a little girl that looks like a perfect little girl, but kills people.
"I dug up all the Indian bodies, pissed on 'em, and buried 'em again upside down! I was drunk."......wonder if South Park would get away with that line now. This was 1998.
The vertical line between the two Carman's (Cartmen?) is emulating the old splitscreen effect from old TV shows where they would use optical effects for doing this sort of thing.
Its also a play off of how they used to make the cartoons with paper cutouts, cuz they only had one of each kid, so they would have had to shoot the Cartman part twice and splice the shots together.
So the line between the Cartman's (men?) is mocking the old split-screen they used to use to show the same character on the screen. The goatee is from an old Star Trek episode where characters from an alternate Universe tried to take over the Enterprise. The evil ones had goatees
The line between the 2 Cartmans is like old special effect in movies or TV shows where one actor or actress played twins or doubles. Sometimes you could see such glitch when both twins or doubles were on screen lol
There is an episode where the band korn plays in southpark for some Halloween event I believe it was it's a pretty good episode it definitely has inspiration from scooby doo it season 3 episode 10 korns groovy pirate ghost mystery

The goldfish keeps getting closer on its own all night? We're not doing that, at all. There's feral cats around. You're going in a preheated pan for some scent, then being thrown in the field. Cats are god's Terminators.
Yes, it was a movie reference. Its an old movie "The Bad Seed". That movie also is references in a later episode (I cant remember the specific name) an episode where cartoon says to his mom "I have such a great mother, such a beautiful mother. mother, if I gave you a basket of kisses...."
It’s not too late to start watching them in order just miss the ones you’ve already watched. also back in the day crap special effects the films used to have the screen split in 2 halves when the same person was on screen
This Episode is like Poltergeist meets Star Trek Mirror Universe, the Goatee's are a Mirror Universe thing, in the mirror universe our good guys are bad guys there, this is just one of many Star Trek references in the shows history.

This one is a good one! I hope you also react to the Korn Halloween episode-that’s an awesome one
Yeah with the pirate ghosts!
South Park always has good Halloween episodes.
idk how I just realized at 11:05 that there are two cartmans standing there while cartman is on Aunt Flo’s lap
Regular South Park Universe: Cartman = Evil, Kyle & Stan = Nice, Kenny = Poor
“Evil Parallel Universe”: Cartman = Nice, Kyle & Stan = Evil, Kenny = Rich
With Cartman (Alternate) With the goatee, it's also an Original Star Trek reference to the Mirror Universe. In the Mirror Universe, characters are evil with goatee but South Park, they made Cartman good. So if they focused on the boys as well, they would be evil.
Haha, 1:20 Period joke “Stanley. Aunt Flo only visits once a month. Be nice”
Aunt Flo the monthly visitor. Get it? 😂

"I dug up all the Indian bodies, pissed on 'em, and buried 'em again upside down! I was drunk."......wonder if South Park would get away with that line now. This was 1998.
After all this time, I still wonder why the Evil Stan and Evil Kyle wanted to take Evil Cartman back 🤔
Tbf evil Cartman is the only good person in their universe.
11:05 technically three Cartmans are in this episode the evil one was using aunt flow like a massage chair at this point
11:03 I just caught an animation error and I've seen this a ton of times haha. Cartman is behind everyone even when he was on Stan's Aunt's legs
That line between the Cartmans was just a joke toward bad editing when someone makes a video of the same person trying to interact with themselves.
So the line between the Cartman's (men?) is mocking the old split-screen they used to use to show the same character on the screen. The goatee is from an old Star Trek episode where characters from an alternate Universe tried to take over the Enterprise. The evil ones had goatees
That episode was Mirror Mirror.
Even to this day we still didn't get the answer on why did Sharon took officer Barbrady's pants.
