The 'boneration' bit is just a kids' way of saying the Biblical: 'Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh' etc., 'cleave' meaning separate, or divide, as in a man putting his hoo-hoo dilly unto a womans' cha-cha.

I’m a more recent South Park fan and don’t know most of the older characters’ traits back in the day outside TH-camrs explaining, so I’m a bit taken by surprise the priest was that unhinged back then, as most episodes I seen of him, he’s a W priest, being a morally good guy.
He started more or less as out as strawman for Catholicism and the various controversies they had but they made him less severe after Red Hot Catholic Love as he rallied against the pedophilia problem in the Catholic church and lightened him up as a character.
One thing i like about South Park is that they be lowkey asking the right questions. For example when they walked in on Maxi gettin his freak on they damn near lost all hope; and like Stan said if the priest cant even save himself from hell then whos gonna save them? It's almost like witnessing Superman get smoked by Doomsday or like how he acted in Injustice; he cant protect humanity so who can?
I remember my first confession. It was quiet and slow and awkward to tell someone that I accidentally stole money from my parents. It was field trip money to head to the zoo. Don't judge me.
The funny thing is that Kyle's fear is an actual philosophical question, known as "Pascal's Wager"
Basically, it's the philosophical Russian Roulette of afterlife beliefs. Basically asking what if Heaven and Hell are real or not. It went like this:
Yes Heaven/Hell and Yes prayer: Heaven
Yes Heaven/Hell and No prayer: Hell
No Heaven/Hell: won't matter either way.
It's intended as a wager for scientists in Pascal's time and later on, because faith among the scientific was dying as Atheism was gaining traction.

10:56 actually, there's a thing in the Bible that says Kyle would be fine here. Romans chapter 14 says that not being Christian is not enough to send you to Hell. It explains that people of different religious beliefs are fine, as long as they uphold their own respective religious views and in doing so are not hurting anyone. So basically, it amounts to "if it doesn't hurt you, leave them alone and don't practice any religious acts that hurt others".

Romans 14: 1-10 is about how different people have different religious practices, and that is fine as long as you do so "for the Lord."
14: 11-18 is about how only God can pass judgment and decide if it's OK or not, so we shouldn't try to do so ourselves
Romans 14: 19- 21 is about how those statements don't apply if the action is hurting someone else
Romans 14: 22-23 states that it is a sin to commit a sin if you know it's a sin, but if you truly believe it isn't a sin and the above rules are followed, you're fine.

@@rickypedia999 Romans 14:1-10 is talking about how there is not one way to worship God. That doesn’t mean you can worship any random god and be fine. You need to understand the historical context surrounding what was going on at the time of the early church. There were many Jews who believed that Jesus was the Messiah, but at the same time, there were many Gentiles who also believed that Jesus was the Messiah. However many Jews were arguing that unless you upheld all of the other Jewish customs, you couldn’t join the family of Christians.
Meaning, unless you got circumcised, unless you kept Kosher, unless you held a Shabbat meal on Friday evening, you weren’t worshiping God.
Thats very different than saying you could also worship Jesus and all of the other Roman gods as well. When we get to 14: 11-18, ultimately only God knows the state of someone’s heart and only God knows if their worship of him is genuine.
14:19-23 is apart of a larger section on not causing another person to stumble by encouraging them to eat things that would lead to sin. If you notice, Paul mentions how it’s not the food itself that is unclean. However, again, you need to understand the context of the setting Paul is talking about. A lot of the butcher shops of the time were next to Roman temples, and many celebrations and parties dedicated to those pagan gods took place at those temples. It’s the type of activities that took place at those temples during those celebrations (drunkenness, orgies, etc) that could be associated with those specific foods.
So no, the food itself is fine, but if the activities surrounding that type of food is causing a brother in Christ to stumble, then don’t encourage them to eat that food.
@loganleroy8622 you may also notice how the food part is explicitly an example, with other examples being given (such as worshipping on different days). And like I said, the main point of it is that you shouldn't have a problem if someone else is doing something that doesn't "cause you to stumble" and likewise shouldn't make use of something that can cause others to stumble, either.
