6 Dollar Worm Bin [EASY]

In this video I describe how to set up a new worm bin from scratch cheaply and easily using a five gallon bucket and some other basic supplies. This would be useful for vermiculture / worm framing, worm composting, or anyone who wants to get started keeping red wigglers or other types of compost worms for indoor / winter composting.

As long as the bin is established and the living conditions in the habitat are reasonably good, it is very rare for worms to venture out (in my experience). You will want to keep light above the bin for the first few days after setting it up since the worms tend to want to wander more when they are in the new environment.
