EU has lower interchange fees than US, so I think the cash back would be 0.5% if they launched in Ireland. Relative to the competition, their rates are good, but about the same as other good cards rather than way better. So if you have the best non-Amex card available in Ireland at the moment, Apple Card would be about the same as that.
I’m surprised they haven’t launched in the UK yet. I think I’m still correct in saying there are more Apple Pay transactions in the UK than any other country, even though the US has about 5x the population. Literally every offline retailer accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay, even market traders and the plumber I called out to fix a burst pipe, and most online retailers, except Amazon. And the largest single Apple Pay retailer in the world is Transport for London. I pretty much never take my wallet with me when leaving the house as I know I can pay for everything with my phone. Waitrose (grocery store) does have a £10,000 transaction limit on Apple Pay. They are expensive, but not (yet) that expensive.
Wow that legitimately shocks me! I always kinda felt like the UK market and USA/Canada are viewed as almost one and the same for the largest multinational corporations in the world. Just sooo similar in terms international geography & demographics.
I love maximizing credit card rewards and the Apple Card is pretty mediocre for me. I use it for the 3% and the ability to pay over time without interest. Other than that all my spend goes on cards with better rewards.
Yea credit cards with a decent sign up bonus is the way to go. I got a $75 sign up bonus through credit karma for getting Apple Card, but I only use it to finance apple products and 3% for Apple Music.
I have been using credit cards for over 30 years and the card that I instinctively default to nowadays is that that clinky hunk of titanium (when I actually have to pull it out of my wallet). I just wish more retailers/vendors would sign on. Like Drew, I pay it off every other week, and never have a balance, such a good feeling to see that card on my phone go white. Love this card
For any non-Apple sheep that happen to be reading this, a nice one-two punch for credit cards is the Discover it card + Citi Double Cash. Both are free with no annual fee, the Citi card gives you 2% cash back on EVERYTHING (no category restrictions whatsoever) as long as you pay your balance in full every month. The Discover card has rotating categories that give 5% cash back, and they're good, like gas stations, groceries, restaurants, etc. So by having these two cards and paying attention to Discover's 5% categories, I'm always earning either 2 or 5% cash back.
yea the discover it card is pretty nice, i’ve got $118.45 in cash back so far this year as an 18 year old compared to his $94. i love apple and the app really drew me in but i’m glad i didn’t pick it
I got the Apple Card around Oct 2019 and it’s been where I put all my daily spending since. Love how convenient and easy the payment and tracking software is! Really easy to access that cash back too
The wallet app has been the primary reason I’ve stuck with the Apple Card since its inception. So far I’ve gotten almost exactly $700 in cash back on mine.
Still LOVE my Apple Card, The App is just amazing for me. I hope Apple moves the iPhone upgrade program over to it, rather than Citizens One. Though I've not had any problems with them, I would just like to see the info for it inside the wallet app, and only deal with Apple / Goldman for it.
Agreed! Maybe there’s some contract that they have with Citizens One. Otherwise, I just tell everyone to do Apple Card 24 months and just trade in at a year if that’s what they want to do!
The two programs are just vastly different though. They could benefit from allowing the upgrade program to alternatively be financed through the Apple Card as well though rather than solely through Citizens.
I’m really thankful you talked about this. Not a lot of channels do talk about the Apple Card at all. I’ve been really wanting to get one. I’m just been working on my credit score. And these are all really good things to know before hand. This was tremendously helpful. Thank you
What would you recommend for a 18 year old with no previous credit history (and pretty well off family financially) to bulid a good credit score through college
I have a few credit cards and only got an Apple Card because I’m deep in the ecosystem and I love Apple products. So naturally I thought I’d used it for the pay over time feature with 0% interest but that hasn’t happened yet, mainly because I don’t spend money “recklessly”, and I’ve had mine for a little over a year now. So I only really use it when Apple Pay will get me the most cash back when my other cards won’t
I left the Samsung ecosystem when the iPhone 13 came out, as it was time for me to do a tech refresh. I went with Apple for 4 reasons: #1 The Apple Watch is the only genuinely great smartwatch, #2 The M1 Macs changed the game #3 The Apple Card is just so easy and so good, and so amazingly secure, #4 Apple Apps are usually excellent and polished, whereas many of the Android counterparts need attention. Then I own a bit of music with Apple from years gone by, but now it plays in high-def Dolby Atmos. So, Apple under Tim Cook so far amazes me. Being able to roll the code on the Apple Card is terrific.
@@Mr.2GD not really. Most Apple users aren’t spec whores like Samsung users. Most don’t care about more technical specs like the claimed Megapixel capacity of the camera or removable storage. Apple users find it better than Samsung as a majority because of the fluidity, simplicity, and continual backing and improving of iOS. Not to mention how iOS specifically communicates with Apple hardware, it makes camera and other functions more refined and how the hardware communicates with the software. That’s what makes Samsung inferior, they just don’t have iOS and they don’t make a piece of hardware to last 7 years
@@ross2342 The fluidity is a by-product of the vertical control Apple has over the ecosystem, it is indeed nice, but the simplicity is almost patronising IMHO, they think that people don't know better for themselves which in some cases might be true, but I rather have a bit more control over my experience despite not having the same level of refinement in some details. I understand that some people don't want to think too much about their tech and how it works, just isn't for me. The durability thing is a bit tricky, the flagship devices can last you seven years, but the innovation comes more quickly on the Android side and people feel compelled to upgrade a bit faster so there is less financial incentive for the companies to support software for more than 3-4 years like we have now. Apple sells more of their 1st party services and hoards user data for themselves so they profit from their users in many different ways, see the Epic Games case for instance. They don't support iPhones for 7 years out of the goodness of their hearts.
@@zehph thanks for this reply dude. You have a much better way with words than me and I seriously hope to be able to convey points like you some day. It’s cool to see the Android side again, remember what it was like, and hear responding perspective again. I loved customizing my ringtones and message tones on Android. I felt my upgrade every 1-3 years was always cutting edge, fast, and the newest and sleekest tech. I always laughed at my coworkers with iPhones as they scolded me for keeping their group chat “green” instead of “blue”. I thought I would never cross over. And then when I got into Apple’s ecosystem and could send longer videos over iMessage amongst other functions, I realized this Apple world I was in was like this selective cult in an odd way. Bad, in that I now heavily loved, utilized, and was dependent on Apple to Apple functions that I didn’t have before. But now I could only do them with other Apple users which was way more people that I thought, but still. I couldn’t believe I lived without it for so long but now found myself angry when chatting with an Android user and using limited “green” bubble functionality. It makes all Apple users kind of segregate from normal society. Once you get in, if you do find it better, and choose it as your daily (which is just personal preference), you kind of just accept that Android users don’t “know” the other side. You do have techy people that try both but the majority of Apple users came from Android, and the majority of Android users have never used an iPhone as a daily or tried it for longer than toying around to click… or dial a number from someone else’s device. I absolutely 1,000% miss the more open, customizable, unadulterated, rootable, etc Android benefits. Especially the easiness of customizing my tones. I was truly obsessed. But I love the Apple iOS interface and thumbing through it way more than my want for those benefits. Which only means it’s a personal preference. I think the majority of Apple users just leave their stock ringtone and stock text tone for whatever reason, too. Maybe it’s like you mentioned about them not knowing better for themselves. A lot of Apple users are just drive and go type of people. I even tried loading some customs into iTunes and syncing my phone and while the process required a little first time learning, it worked. Then I found I was doing something very Android-esque here lol and even missed my stock iPhone tones and changed back. I think Apple has probably figured out they’ve got enough of a fan base of relatively dense users that are willing to cycle through the same sounds pretty much for over a decade, log into iCloud and all their stuff just “be there”, and a familiar interface that really hasn’t changed much at all… hardly ever lol. It’s truly a predictable experience that seems to have sort of bottomed out from having any real innovation changes since the triple camera system came out in the 11 pro/11 pro max. People who see me with an iPhone in hand who knew me years ago working in cellular retail oftentimes make it a topic to pick my brain about because I was so anti Apple for the majority of my life. This is all just regurgitated bits of perspective and almost none of this is fact and a lot just personal preferences. How did Apple get me? Damn lol
@@ross2342 So in a nutshell, Apple is better because they make their shit work great with other Apple devices. That's literally their whole thing. "you kind of just accept that Android users don’t “know” the other side." This side is just the Apple walled garden, there is nothing much to it. The same, lame experience for every user.
The Apple Card was my first, and so far only credit card. I think it’s great for young people like me that use Apple products for their careers, but also are not interested in utilizing credit services too much.
Sometimes I don’t want to look at my other banking apps because of the hassle of passwords and maybe a poor interface. Which is bad because it’s always best to check your spending. But the Apple Card interface is so easy to use that I enjoy opening it up and looking at different information.
I started my credit limit at $1500 on my Apple Card 2.5 years ago. Then it went to $3,500, $6,500, $12,500, and now $16,500. It taught me a lot about responsibility. And persistence of requesting credit line increases. I've totaled about $1,200 in cash back so far. I keep that for an emergency.
@@EarthWasHere the 1st of every month I request an increase. The frequency of successfully raising the credit limit was better in the beginning. Now that the limits are larger, I have been denied more than I have been approved.
Been on the fence about getting the Apple Card. I’m very much into rewards cards on everything things such as gas, groceries, etc. Even if I buy a new iPhone every year and put it on the Apple Card, I just don’t see the value in having one unless about raises the 2% cash back on everyday purchases to AT LEAST 4%. The app and card design are still really cool though. Who knows, I might still end up getting it but only put things like my Apple Store subscriptions on it
I use Applecard for my extended car warranties. It gets a regular workout. $12,000 limit 11% interest rate I pay off balances immediately. I pay no interest.
Loved my card. By the way, I’m incredibly good at losing my wallet and I’m on my third Apple Card - for what it’s worth they send a replacement very quickly and I love how the number can stay the same or change at will.
@@SleepyPossums yes it have that but i don't know how reliable it is, I don't use physical wallets anyway, neither magsafe wallet. If it was linked to your find my account it should appear there🙃
I love the apple card. I use it in junction with my Amex platinum, because I like the travel benefits. I just wish more places, especially online would accept apple pay. If I cant get at least 2% I probably wont use it. I would like to see more retailers with 3%. But it would also be nice to see apple products get 4%.
Honestly, I never use mine cause of lack of the rewards 3 percent on Apple purchases was nice, but the Citi DoubleCash pays you 2 percent on everything, or other cards from Chase and Amex allow you 5-10X rewards on certain transactions, even Apple.
Honestly, I don’t use my apple card that much. Even for apple purchases. The last two Apple Watches I’ve had I used a different card as they offered a pretty big sign on bonus. I’ve set my Apple Card to automatically like most of my cards so I rarely need to open any of their apps, but overall my favorite cards are Amex blue cash, Discover it, PayPal cash back and Apple Card. What really disincentivizes me to use the Apple Card is I’ve never had a CL increase. I have to overdraft it to buy a iPhone or Mac, and have been declined when I’ve asked. Yet most of my other cards have 2-5 times the CL the Apple Card does. Plus the PayPal card is a flat 2% on everything so when I do swipe its more expensive to use the Apple Card. Side note: I was going to buy those Apple Watches anyway.
Between bills, daily expenses, and major purchases including an iPad Air, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, 2 Apple Watches, Airpods, and top of the line MacBook Pro (comped by my job), i think I’m well over $1000 cash back since mid 2020.
I’m the UK and Europe the interchange is capped so you really don’t get cashback more than 0.5% on most cards and even then some have fees annually. So that might be why. We just don’t have good credit cards generally; companies can only make money from fees and interest.
I don't use the Apple Card a lot. It gives 2% cash back only on ApplePay purchases. It gives 3% on Apple purchases (and a few other businesses). I use the Chase Amazon card at Amazon for 5%; the CitiDouble Cash card for online purchases because it pays 2% and offers safe virtual card numbers. I use the Costco Visa for travel at 3% and gasoline 4%. I use the Wells Fargo Active Cash card for 2% cash back AND free cellphone insurance. By the way, Apple Card, because it is a MasterCard, cannot be used at Costco, since Costco only accepts Visa.
The things I would do for a Canadian apple card, the closest thing we have is Neo which is great but it still doesn't get close to the native wallet integration of apple card and apple pay cash, both US only sadly.
With all the credit cards that exist that offer better cash back/point redemption I’m SHOCKED anyone without other card options would use this for anything other than Apple purchases/cheaper iCloud storage. I’d use this card more for the flex if they put some actually decent reward % on the actual metal card.
There are other options similar to Apple Card here in the Uk anyway. 2% cash back, interest free split payments. I do have an iPhone but can’t see the point having one in the coming future.
What I would do, payment wise, is just schedule the statement balance with autopay. I keep money in my bank account and gain as much interest as possible before making those payments.
I feel you Drew, I have the same issue with wanting to pay the card off but there are some ending payments that haven’t cleared yet. Also, I feel like the 2% cash back, 3% cash back at select stores is way to low. Apple can do so much better.
you made a great point, I'm like that too I like to pay off the transaction as soon as possible. if Apple makes a higher tier card with a small annual fee, I can see it selling including me I'll get it
I think the pending transactions not being able to be paid is a US/Canada thing. It takes several days for charges to appear on the balance after using a credit or debit card for my friends in Canada. But in the UK any card I use including AMEX and Chase the charges appear almost instantly. It’s so quick I get the notification on my phone whilst I am still at the checkout and if I opened the app it would show the balance after that transaction. It’s the same for both credit and debit.
7:36 A friend of mine had a huge transaction post on the apple card over a year and a half later. They charged their card and made them go overdraft on a particularly transaction heavy month, when they thought they had been paying the card in full for all that time
the card is incredibly profitable for apple, contrary to your theory near the end of the video. issuing banks and their cobranding partners (GS and apple in this case) actually make the majority of their money from the swipe fees merchants pay every time you use the card (~3%) rather than late fees/financing charges. you’ve been a profitable cardholder just by continuing to use the card every day. in my humble opinion, the apple card simply isn’t competitive with other cards that readily offer 2% everywhere regardless of swipe or tap. but then again, that doesn’t really matter for an apple product anyways. people will use it, and they’ll be happy with it.
I don’t worry about paying the pending transactions in the balance, because the money I use to pay off my monthly Apple balance is sitting in my SoFi account drawing daily interests. So I’d rather keep as much money in that account as possible. The SoFi interest is back up to 2%, so yeah it’s some extra cash profit from bank balance.
Travel card for me - I already do a lot of travel and getting a ton of points on southwest just for using my card is great, also the annual fee is pretty much covered by the annual rewards from chase so yes I will keep using my travel card!
Little suggestion for the next time you shoot dialogs like at the beginning. I would suggest to make sure, both characters are looking in each others direction. That would make it feel more natural. Liked the idea though.
Apple will make somewhere between 1.39% + $0.05 to 3.29% + $0.10 on every Apple Card transaction (average Merchant Fee range for MasterCard). The interest they may earn is a cherry on top. Merchants will also pay additional payment processing fees to MasterCard.
I use my Apple Card daily to buy breakfast lunch and everything in between. I’m down to$79 left on my AirPods 3 and the cash back is awesome 😎 I also pay it off weekly 😊
I hope Apple Card becomes available in the KSA. Card transactions here are used like 90% of the time. Some establishments even reject service when you pay by cash.
I have a few credit cards and so far the best one with rewards or well cash back is my American Express Card. Apple Card doesn’t have a great percentage cash back. Unless you are purchasing tons of Mac products and accessories.. sure you’ll earn Apple Cash. Rather limited card, basically suited for purchasing Apple products with a monthly payment option with 0% interest if paid in the set amount of time. It’s cool to have but doesn’t compare to other cards with more reward options.
After 3 years I STILL have to use my iPhone to see my running charges and to arrange for my rewards to get transferred to my checking account. What’s THAT about? Why can’t I have the wallet app in my iPads? As it is, I get the same amount of cash back (2%) on my routine purchases when I use my Citi card and there are NO purchases that get a paltry 1%. So, I only use my Apple Card for Apple purchases, on which I get 3% back.
Ok i’ve had the Apple Card for a year and a half and I kinda hate it after exploring my other options. My main card now is the Chase Sapphire Preferred and while it has an annual fee, I feel like the points on this one and also many other credit cards make so many other cards worth it vs the Apple Card. Like to me it makes sense to get 2X Dining Points rather than 1% Cash Back
It looks like a sweet card, but I don't use an iPhone, but it would be cool if they expanded it to other non-apple devices, maybe. I'm currently using the savor one capital one card and the 3% cash back isn't bad.
I have had the Apple Card for two plus years now. Out of my four credit cards the Apple Card is probably the least used. It is still nice to pull out the titanium card to pay. But it is so rare I use the physical card since it only gets 1% cash back. My most used credit card is definitely my AMEX Blue Cash Preferred. AMEX and other brands for me simply brings greater value. I use my Apple Card primarily for Apple Pay transactions when I know the 2% or 3% cash back will beat any of my other cards. One thing I will say is that Apple Card is still the lowest interest rate of any of my cards and the 0$ annual fee can make the Apple Card have more value. I have never paid any interest on the Apple Card though so the low interest, which is still double digits for me, does not entice me to use the card more.
im with you. there are better cards. I bring in 700-$900 / YEAR cashback using 6% Amex Blue Cash Preferred (groceries and gas) 5% Discover IT (quarterly categories, ie Paypal, Amazon, Target) 5% Chase (quarterly categories, ie Paypal, Amazon, Target) 5% Citibank (restaurants) 2% Wells Fargo (everything else)
I have an Apple Card and like it, but I’m souring on it quite a bit. 3% on Apple products is fine but not great, you’d be better off getting a store card and maximizing rewards that way. I bought a new iPad from Walmart instead of Apple because I got more cash back from Walmart. 2% on Apple Pay is nice, but there are better 2% rewards cards that provide the same cash back and are able to be used everywhere, not just where Apple Pay is accepted (Wells Fargo Active Cash, Citi Double Cash). There needs to be more 3% stores and better cash back at Apple imo.
I use three cards. Apple Card is my default, but if Apple Pay isn't available I use my Citi DoubleCash which gets 2% with the physical card. If MasterCard isn't an option (Costco), I use my Chase Freedom Unlimited which is 1.5%. I don't carry the physical Apple Card with me because it's useless to me.
You can get 2% more consistently using other cards btw. Like PayPal credit card. I decided not to use the Apple Card unless I’m getting 3% Also credit cards you can’t pay pending transactions. I would like that tho
As nice as the Apple Card is, I think it would be really nice if Apple could also find a way to allow people to direct deposit their paychecks into their Apple Cash card and provide a physical card for that as well seeing as they're slowly trying to inch their way into the banking market. I feel they'd probably have to partner either with Goldman Sachs or another bank again to do so though since employers require a routing and account number to make a transaction, of which Apple Cash has neither. It currently has to be tied to another existing bank instead of being its own standalone bank with its own routing and account numbers.
Pending transactions are just when the seller finally takes their money from you rather than just taking the money when the order goes through. It's stupid.
Apple News Plus gets more magazines all the time, am I really the only one that loves Apple News Plus? Maybe it’s because I’ve been a huge magazine buff my whole life, Wired, National Geographic, Popular Science/mechanics, Mac life, etc.. Get Woke!
Chase freedom flex is best credit card. 5% quarterly rewards is helpful. I use my Apple Card at my grocery stores and my freedom flex is 3% at fast food and restaurants then I have a gas station credit card for where I get gas.
This is literally me and my wife minus the Apple Card 😂 Used the Freedom Unlimited for nearly all purchases besides Amazon, but now that we added Flex to our card portfolio, we just use Unlimited at department stores or non-Amazon online shopping! Gotta always maximize those cash back offers 💰💰
Discover is offering 5% on digital wallets in Q4 2022. Citi Custom Cash offers 5% on your #1 category. BOA offers 3% on your #1 category. Citi Double Cash offers 2% on everything, including swiping the card. The only thing I use my Apple Card for is Apple purchases.
I promise I’m not trying to sound like a credit guru, but if you’re spending $15k+ per year on your card, you could get way more value on another card. For me, the value the card brings me is way better than the user interface. Understand it’s different for others.
i like using discover student cash back card because i get 5% cash back when i use paypal or go to restaurants from july to september every year and then in october to december i get 5% cash back on amazon and digital wallets like apple pay so that's pretty neat the other months are kinda meh to me tho and they were one of the few credit card companies that would i feel like would accept me because of my lack of credit i wanna get an apple card next year tho
I'm getting 2.5 on everything using MidFlorida Visa, with around 50 dollars a month cash back. We use it for all things possible; With this card you can also pay for the pending amounts as well.
The issue I have with cash back is it gets people to think that they’re making money by spending money but over all you’re still a net negative in your account. It basically makes whatever you’re buying cheaper “saving” you money when really you could have just not bought into the latest thing or what not. Someone is going to comment under this defending the practice not understanding how money works. Cash back is a cash grab for other companies.
I just want to see balance transfers come to the cc. I wanted to move my iphone upgrade program over to it since I enrolled in the program before I was approved for the card, but they said I couldn't because apple card doesn't support balance transfers.
I have a question about utilization but not what you think. Hopefully you or anyone in the comments can answer. If i pay off the balance before the statement close date, technically, you didn’t use your card right? You get what I mean? Like there’s technically no utilization that can be reported to the bureaus and it’s generally known that you should have at least 10%-30% utilization right? So how does that work out. Does paying off your balance before the close date so that there is a $0 statement a good thing?
The lower the utilization, the better. 0% utilization usually drops my credit score, so I buy a random product from Apple and finance it like once a year to show some type of utilization to the credit bureaus. The issuer will know you use your card and never close it, but to the credit bureaus, it’ll show you’re not using it.
@@Carsia yeah so if it shows you technically never use it, that’s not good right? Like there’s no utilization to report. Thats smart tho that you have something financed but I feel like always having a $0 balance statement doesn’t make sense? I guess use as much as you want but pay it down to where they can only report an amount that is less than 30% utilization
@@jayceklept I charge everything to my credit cards, if there are no fees, and pay them off every month. Sometimes I’ll let like $10 or so get reported. Having no debt hurts your score more than it helps it. Sounds backwards, but utilization helps your score. That’s why if you pay off a credit card or a car or something, your score will drop. I’m sure Drew’s score took a hit when they paid off the house since it messed up the credit mix.
I’ve stopped using it for the most part, other credit cards offer WAY too many benefits to use this. They literally offer nothing except cash back that’s available on most other cards and way better too. I get 2% on EVERYTHING, plus complimentary phone insurance, travel fare, etc. all for free lmao
I always figured they didn’t want to make money from the card itself but it’s gateway to people buying more apple products and services. It’s certainly lead to me buying more apple products from apple.
FYI I have a Chase credit card with average 3% cash back I use it just like you to purchase all my necessities and yearly I'm getting $700 plus in cash back. A better deal reason why i seldom use my apple card
I’m really annoyed that the Apple Card isn’t available in Ireland yet because I’d 100% use it as a debit card with cash back

Thank you
It depends on your income but I got a 5500 limit with a 650 credit score. if your in the high 6 range try the pre qualification.

As someone who worked in the heavy spend credit card industry. I can honestly say the Apple Card is an outstanding product.
In your professional opinion, what about it do you think significantly differentiates itself from its competitors?

What would you recommend for a 18 year old with no previous credit history (and pretty well off family financially) to bulid a good credit score through college
@@acoolonthebeat im also curious about this ngl
@@acoolonthebeat you need a credit score in order to apply…
Is there, at any point, that Samsung did better than Apple?
How long did you wait before asking for a credit limit? Also did you pay off card in full ever end of the month?
@@EarthWasHere the 1st of every month I request an increase. The frequency of successfully raising the credit limit was better in the beginning. Now that the limits are larger, I have been denied more than I have been approved.

You literally offer the the best videos on this card to date.
$12,000 limit
11% interest rate
I pay off balances immediately.
I pay no interest.
I’m at £800 pure profit from Amex + BA Plus card just this year, I do welcome rewards etc however, Apple Card still isn’t the UK unfortunately.
Loved my card. By the way, I’m incredibly good at losing my wallet and I’m on my third Apple Card - for what it’s worth they send a replacement very quickly and I love how the number can stay the same or change at will.
order the airtags already😆
@@rroman429 Does the MagSafe wallet have find my compatibility? Cuz that’s what I used…. Until I lost it 😭
@@SleepyPossums yes it have that but i don't know how reliable it is, I don't use physical wallets anyway, neither magsafe wallet. If it was linked to your find my account it should appear there🙃
Intro was gold 😂 “I love my Uncle Tim” literally made me laugh out loud
I wish for the Apple Card to be available in other countries later on. Because it seems really useful and efficient.
I love the apple card. I use it in junction with my Amex platinum, because I like the travel benefits. I just wish more places, especially online would accept apple pay. If I cant get at least 2% I probably wont use it. I would like to see more retailers with 3%. But it would also be nice to see apple products get 4%.
I dump Amex was tried of annual fees of 300 an I don’t travel or get hotels much
I am thoroughly enjoying the skits! Keep them coming! Lol
Honestly, I never use mine cause of lack of the rewards 3 percent on Apple purchases was nice, but the Citi DoubleCash pays you 2 percent on everything, or other cards from Chase and Amex allow you 5-10X rewards on certain transactions, even Apple.
You get 2% on purchases made on your phone using the apple card. 1% if you use the physical card.
Intro was hilarious!! Great job 🤣
I love these skits so much! Plz don’t ever get rid of them!
When will this card come to Canada? I’m patiently waiting for that day!
Does anyone know where that great summary info is? I can't find that page.
With all the credit cards that exist that offer better cash back/point redemption I’m SHOCKED anyone without other card options would use this for anything other than Apple purchases/cheaper iCloud storage. I’d use this card more for the flex if they put some actually decent reward % on the actual metal card.
When is Apple Card in the UK
There are other options similar to Apple Card here in the Uk anyway. 2% cash back, interest free split payments. I do have an iPhone but can’t see the point having one in the coming future.
What I would do, payment wise, is just schedule the statement balance with autopay. I keep money in my bank account and gain as much interest as possible before making those payments.
I feel you Drew, I have the same issue with wanting to pay the card off but there are some ending payments that haven’t cleared yet.
Also, I feel like the 2% cash back, 3% cash back at select stores is way to low. Apple can do so much better.
The worst thing about the apple credit card is that is sucks you further into the apple ecosystem, making it harder to switch.
you made a great point, I'm like that too I like to pay off the transaction as soon as possible.
if Apple makes a higher tier card with a small annual fee, I can see it selling including me I'll get it
I think the pending transactions not being able to be paid is a US/Canada thing.
They charged their card and made them go overdraft on a particularly transaction heavy month, when they thought they had been paying the card in full for all that time
With that pending issue, my Discover card does that, too... :( I didn't know that was avoidable on other cards!
Do they report to credit beurals more often
You are really a simple man. And that's great.
the card is incredibly profitable for apple, contrary to your theory near the end of the video. issuing banks and their cobranding partners (GS and apple in this case) actually make the majority of their money from the swipe fees merchants pay every time you use the card (~3%) rather than late fees/financing charges. you’ve been a profitable cardholder just by continuing to use the card every day. in my humble opinion, the apple card simply isn’t competitive with other cards that readily offer 2% everywhere regardless of swipe or tap. but then again, that doesn’t really matter for an apple product anyways. people will use it, and they’ll be happy with it.
I have both an Apple Card and Amazon Prime Card so no complaints here. Cash back at both online stores, works for me.
Liked the idea though.
dang how did you get the apple logo in the title
Apple will make somewhere between 1.39% + $0.05 to 3.29% + $0.10 on every Apple Card transaction (average Merchant Fee range for MasterCard). The interest they may earn is a cherry on top. Merchants will also pay additional payment processing fees to MasterCard.
Love this credit card. I have 5 cards and this is the only one I’m using.
I use my Apple Card daily to buy breakfast lunch and everything in between. I’m down to$79 left on my AirPods 3 and the cash back is awesome 😎 I also pay it off weekly 😊
Apple sends me emails trying to convince me to check to see if I’m eligible for Apple Card… I ignore them.
I’m young and am trying to get the apple card, any tips?
I bring in 700-$900 / YEAR cashback using
6% Amex Blue Cash Preferred (groceries and gas)
5% Discover IT (quarterly categories, ie Paypal, Amazon, Target)
5% Chase (quarterly categories, ie Paypal, Amazon, Target)
5% Citibank (restaurants)
2% Wells Fargo (everything else)
Americans complained that the Apple Card had very low cash-back rate, but here in Canada those rates would be great
I have an Apple Card and like it, but I’m souring on it quite a bit. There needs to be more 3% stores and better cash back at Apple imo.
i don't know is that worth or not because Apple Store is not available in my country only official distributed resellers
Wow just realized that the new intro is the old (very old) outro

Amazing and hilarious skit as always. Please keep it up. Thanks
You can add several cards to your cards to your Apple Wallet, which give you more cash back than the Apple Card does.
With annual fees.
Love how I'm on Android, and the apple emoji in the title just shows up as a boxed "x"
Would love Apple Card in the UK but we just wouldn’t get the same percentage of cash back as credit card fees are limited
Got over 200 cash back this year but most of my transactions were only 2 and 1% .... not many stores/retailers offer 3% cashback
I started in 2019 as well "beta" total of cash back since $1890. CRAZY!
I’ll use my cash back for my next iPhone. Love this card
i like using discover student cash back card because i get 5% cash back when i use paypal or go to restaurants from july to september every year and then in october to december i get 5% cash back on amazon and digital wallets like apple pay so that's pretty neat
the other months are kinda meh to me tho and they were one of the few credit card companies that would i feel like would accept me because of my lack of credit
i wanna get an apple card next year tho
This would be a hybrid of a secured credit card and an actual credit. It would report too credit bureaus differently.
I was just thinking about your 3 year review about the apple card this week 😅.
Not available in Australia also
.. like most apple things they are only available in the USA
It would be really interesting to understand those numbers you posted to the total volume $ spent. Thus understanding average cash back %.
Never used the physical card since i got it, but have been using apple pay whenever it's available.
is there supposed to be an apple symbol in the title? I can't see any
I just want to see balance transfers come to the cc.
I love it. I was able to travel with the card and pay zero foreign fees.
