Loved the Apple Card for repairing my credit! It was the only card I could get approved for. Paid it off every month for a year and am now building my Chase Trifecta.
Love to hear it Cooper! Yeah the Apple Card can definitely be good for that since its fairly easy to get approved for. Glad to hear that you are building that Chase Trifecta now! 👍

I really need a credit card to start building my credit though. My bank did a credit report and like I said, they told me I have no credit at all. Which makes sense I pay everything in cash.
I think it’s an awesome beginner card but also for people trying to rebuild their credit and maybe have a secured card only. It offers 3% on your most used category, so for each statement cycle I just choose what I’m going to use the card for, whether it’s groceries, gas, etc…nice video Daniel!
Yeah there is something to be said about the value of the convenience for things like that on the Apple Card. Not a bad option with that Venmo card either as a nice simple cash back setup! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 👍
Thorough and fair assessment! :) i’ve had this card for a year and I must say I really like it for what I use it for. I mainly got it because I am in that Apple ecosystem, so for me it makes sense to have my iTunes purchases, iCloud monthly fee, Apple music charge, and an occasional Apple device with the 0% financing on it. Also since I have “behaved” on this card lol… they bumped my $1500 limit to $3000 in only a few mos, and then 6 mos later I asked for more (because of that one annoying thing when financing a new product how it takes away from the available credit and makes your ratio look bad), and they bumped me up to a $4750 limit. Its not really a true welcome bonus because its specific and only available during certain times of the year usually like you said, but if you need something new from Nike then its a great added little bonus! I really like my Apple Card bc most places I go accept Apple Pay, so I get the 2%, and I shop with Apple for accessories every once ina. while, so the 3% works out nicely. For places that don't accept Apple Pay, I use my other cards
Yeah thats a good way to use the Apple Card! Its not a bad option at all for the ways that you use it! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts @Azan 👍
Daniel I think if you have the cash for the Mac Book you should definitely put it on the Apple card, get the cashback and once the purchase is done pending pay it off in full or break up into 2 or 3 equal payments if your factoring opportunity cost of your liquidity :) Appreciate your content as always Bruh :)
Thanks so much for the comment David, appreciate the support! Yeah nothing wrong with breaking up the payment like that. Its some short term liquidity if needed!
That's a really smart way to look at it, with the amount you'll need to spend in order to get the same comparison of the welcome bonus. My sister got this and noticed it was an easier one for us to get (Canadian citizens living in America). Not sure why, but maybe they don't take our credit from Canada and we're starting from scratch so we don't have much credit for companies to look at. (I got denied by a lot of companies 😅)
Excellent analysis Daniel. I appreciated the points on 0% financing of Apple products. Credit limits on the Apple Card are generally lower so your % of utilization will be higher if using the card to finance Apple Products. Thanks once again for sharing these great financial gems!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting here as always Jeffrey! Yeah definitely important for people to be aware of the 0% financing details on this card and how that affects utilization!
I mostly got this card to increase my total credit worth. However ever since I got it when I purchase items online it’s so easy to use the “use Apple Pay” option it automatically populates. I use Apple Pay and when I had Samsung, Samsung pay, as it is safer than inserting your card physically. It also has a cool security feature that changes the Security code automatically. Not to mention it literally took me 1 minute to apply, get approved and start using the card. I shared the card with my gf and we both use it that way. Smart move on apple, now I want to stay in their ecosystem. Win-Win for me.
Good analysis, Daniel. We're gonna buy a new Macbook soon and have been thinking about opening up an account to get the interest free financing. Other than that, we'd probably keep one recurring charge on the card to keep it active, but mainly just increase our total credit limit.
Thanks so much Adam! Yeah those things seem to be the main reasons why people decide to get the Apple Card for the the interest free financing and for the credit limit to add. I appreciate the comment man!
I have a above average credit score so I'm not that audience that they target but I like Apple a lot, I'm a fanboy so I do this have it. I like it its so simple. I just use my watch or iPhone at the terminal and pay if off when the statement posts and I get my cash back and invest it right back into the stock
To me yes, I feel like when I pay my bills plus other things, that cash back is amazing plus with my credit increase it helps paying all my bills plus paying it back to 0. With my plan I now save 2000 a month
I love this card it’s my favorite card. Apple Pay is in most of the places a shop at. The daily cash I like a lot it’s just nice to see it growing day to day I also like that you can see how much cash back you get on every purchase.
I like that it’s metal and paying with apple Pay is so convenient. Also love the ui. Really doesn’t have many negatives at all. Good card to just throw in your arsenal
Nice, yeah a lot of people seem to have the Apple Card just for that extra credit limit. Not a bad option just to have with an iPhone but then yeah I agree that using something from Chase for an actual card is the better option. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting @Supreme !
I came here to simply learn more about the Apple Card. I don’t have a credit card yet. Looking forward to using Apple Card and being in the capital one team
Apple Card was my first card in college. I din't know anything about cards at all and just wanted the 'cool apple card' Fortunately I had the sense to pay off and in full every month and was able to build my credit with it. But really, knowing what I do now. I would have gone with a Chase card to start building credit and earning points in their ecosystem or an Amex Everyday for the same reasons.
WOW. You know your stuff in DETAIL. I just subbed! Definitely need to look into credit utilization 👀 ive been using a Wells Fargo Reflect card as a debit card and usually pay it off after every few purchases and days before the pay date w a calendar reminder. In the 6 months I’ve had it ive paid ~$6 in interest just from that 2nd month i started using it (the first month i didn’t have much money in my debit account so woulda been risky) one purchase flew under my nose eight around that pay date👃. That’s when i added a deadline to my calendar. Anywho, i am buying the latest iPad Pro 11in 256gb as the refurbished of the previous one is only about ~$50 diff. But id be using it for creative work, and for my mom to take peloton classes (the $12/mo app version, not the $40/mo one 🙃) on our cheap home bike 😂 so for me it is worth the newer features and specs. I appreciate your help, i could pay it in full, but i have an iphone so should be even easier to just do the same thing ive been doing for the Reflect. Financing will make me feel better about getting the latest model 😂 And now I feel confident doing so thanks to u 🙏🏽 God bless!!❤
Great video; I was looking for more guidance on pros and cons, you nailed it. Now on finding out if the Venmo card is right for me :) Happy to have found you, Daniel, you are very financially savvy.
I'm going on a cruise on March 26-April 3 and for the no foreign transaction fees, I got the card. I got approved for $2000 on my second try 6 months later after being denied the first time around. After 3 months, they increased it to $2250.
If you even just use it to purchase your Apple products for 3% cash back that’s pretty good. If you also don’t have a card with more than 2% back it’s pretty good
As always, a fair analysis, Daniel. This card has never had appeal to me, other than it’s cool factor. But I have the Double Cash, which earns 2% back without Apple’s restrictions. So, for my situation, the Apple Card missed the mark. Take care.
Thanks so much Anthony! Yeah I'm with you, I'll take the Double Cash over the Apple Card for the better ways that it earns that 2% with no restrictions. The Apple Card is due for some sort of a refresh in my opinion so I hope that Apple maybe changes something up eventually
Great Video Daniel! Congrats on almost 5k! Crazy way to start off the new year! Personally, I don't have a lot of appeal for this card myself but there's no denying that I've seen some high credit limits!
Thanks so much Jacob, I really appreciate it man! Yeah I'm with you, its not a card for me personally but a lot of people seem to have it just for that credit limit with very little actual use
Thanks bro I just applied for it, Thanks to your video. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to or not kept seeing the ads. I have 3 other cards but I’m not a person to just use my credit cards like that but it will be nice to have just in case. Great video !!!
So elaborate thank you!! So wait, i want to finance an iPad with a newly approved apple card. Does that mean the FULL iPad price will be deducted from my credit limit in full immediately or only the finance amount eg. $169, will be deducted from my credit limit monthly. So i don’t exced credit usage?????
So what if I already have a discover card, but I still want to use this one to take advantage for future apple purchases and also have a second card to slowly increase my credit score even more?
If you’ve already had discover for 6months than you could apply for the Apple Card because you want to avoid having a thin file it’s also a good way of repairing your score
It's for sure a keeper card just because it has no annual fee. 🤷🏽♂ I do use it to buy my laptop and phone with 0% APR (which is nice) but the card serves no purpose after that.
Yeah definitely a keep with no annual fee! And that's one of the best things about it that people seem to use the most. That and the credit limits that they can add to their overall combined limits
You can use a credit card as often or as little as you want! The most important thing is to only use it if you know that you already have the money set aside to pay off your balances on time and in full each month. I've got other video here like this one that should be helpful: th-cam.com/video/2WLZY7aJ7Ak/w-d-xo.html
Lets say you get approved with the apple card and you purchase the $2000 macbook pro and you pay it off in a month Does Apple offer any kind of perks for that?
Greetings Daniel, I liked your video and you gave some really good advice! I’ve had a discover student card for over a year now with no problems whatsoever, just got approved for the Apple Card and wanted to ask about credit utilization. If I end up paying my balance in full prior to the deadline will it show up as zero?
I want to get it and I think it’s Def worth it for buying apple products! I rather get a super nice laptop but pay about $180 a month for it except about $2000 up front!
Just use the card for food and or gas and then pay it off as soon as possible before the due date and keep your statements at zero and it’ll raise your credit score. That’s really the only reason to use this card.
wait so i’m confused, i have a debit card and i wanna buy an iphone in payments but it’s telling me i have to use the apple card. do i have to have the $1300 (how much total the iphone costs) in the apple card? or can i put in the $50 a month every month (payment amount each month)
I've had mine since 2020, its technically a boring card with nothing major to offer but I love the UI which is the only reason why i keep it. Plus it's the only mastercard I have and I have all the major cards except discover.
Do I have this right? So physically using the card is bad since it onlys gives you 1% back. So you want to make the card ur default in the wallet app then just use apple pay through ur phone when making purchases so you get the 2% cash back while also building credit score?
For Apple purchases get a target red card and load up anytime they have the $100 Apple gift cards with a free $10 or $15 target gift card. Or use your quarterly chase or discover category if it 5% on target. Then load that gift card to that Apple account. Comes out to between 9.5% or up to 19.5% off Apple purchases. Way better than 3% with the Apple Card. Then pay the remainder of the balance with the Apple Card at 3%.
I mean I get what you’re saying from the “if you have the cash to buy it then pay cash” logic but that would be kind of foolish. The point of credit is to build trust and free up liquid funds. If you’re just gonna pay cash for everything then what credit card is really worth it? You wanna build that trust so you can get big credit limits. So yeah even if it does split up payments, like you just said “you’ll have to pay it back later”. I mean, so would you with any other credit card lol. Credit is a game you must learn about
I have plenty of cards but also use the apple card any time i can get 3% back - that daily cash I send to strike for no fee and buy bitcoin for no fee so it becomes like a 3% btc back card. Daily cash is important in the btc world lol. Also, for apple products of course.
I have a credit card through my bank ( fifth third ) i wanted to get a 2nd card and was thinking of the Apple card mainly because i want to get a higher credit score is it smart to get the Apple card to establish higher credit score
If you use the card the right way then the Apple card can be a good option! As long as you pay on time and in full each month then it should help your score over time (not considering any other factors)
I want to finance an apple product and im also new to credit cards, should I apply for it ? I could afford buying it cash but financing would help me stay on my current budget
You should figure out what your monthly income is then multiply that by x12 and that’s your annual income. You also have keep in mind taxes and all that stuff that might affect your income
Question for everyone... Say for example you have a credit limit of $1000 and you opted for an installment amount of $600 to be paid in 12 months. ($50 per month) - Is it 50/1000 utilization per month? Like amount to be paid over the total credit limit? - Or 600/1000 first month, 550/1000 second month, 500/1000 3rd month and so on and so fort utilization rate? Like it's basing on the total financed amount divided by credit limit which means your utilization will be so high for a couple of months? Just need to understand so I can wisely build my credit score. Thank you!
Keep in mind the utilization is combined with all your other credit cards. For example, if you have $5000 total in multiple cards; keep your total utilization under 30%. Example; $5000 - 30% = $1500.
If you keep your utilization under 30% by the report date your credit score will not be affected. Just make sure you payoff the other credit card that charge interest rate and keep monthly installments on Apple Card; due to its interest free if you buy Apple products under installments. Make sure it’s under installments not purchase in full.
Opinions on the Apple Card vs amex everyday card for which would have a higher limit? I’ve heard both are generous but my goal is to get the CSP and have heard it helps to already have a card with at least a 5k limit

The only video you need to watch for Apple Cards. Thank you so much! You nailed every point.
How much is apple card
This is why I bought apple watch. Easy as hell to pay everywhere and get 2%
Its a great thing to use along with the Apple Card for easy payments!
I like that it’s metal and paying with apple
Pay is so convenient. Also love the ui. Really doesn’t have many negatives at all. Good card to just throw in your arsenal
I have one for the credit limit and my iPhone. I normally use a chase card when using an actual card.
Nice, yeah a lot of people seem to have the Apple Card just for that extra credit limit. Not a bad option just to have with an iPhone but then yeah I agree that using something from Chase for an actual card is the better option. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting @Supreme !
It’s a great first credit card for someone invested in the Apple ecosystem.
I came here to simply learn more about the Apple Card. I don’t have a credit card yet. Looking forward to using Apple Card and being in the capital one team
Thanks for watching, hopefully the video was useful for info on the Apple Card!
Thanks for the video, I was about to apply and finance an iPhone, but didn't know my utilization was going to be high, thanks for the info!
I think enough attention isn’t paid to the security features of the Apple Card like the ability to generate a new CVV code monthly
Very cool feature! The Apple Card is definitely one of the best when it comes to security features and a lot of people really value that!
I was about to say the same thing, glad I saw your post first lol. Very over looked and great feature that I don’t think anyone else has.
this is an awesome analysis, how come i just see it~ thank you!
Thank you so much for watching Joyce!
Thanks for all the info! Super helpful :)
Good video Danny. I'm not a card carrier of the Apple Card, but I enjoy your videos as usual. Super impressed.
Thanks so much Scott! Appreciate your support as always here 👍
Very good review. Lots important informations you have provided addition to apple card review.
11:24 that was smooth bro
Lol always gotta work in a way to ask people to subscribe!
I have it as a back up card from when Amex is not accepted. Needless to say, I rarely reach for it.
Awesome Review !! Thank you !
Great video; I was looking for more guidance on pros and cons, you nailed it. Now on finding out if the Venmo card is right for me :) Happy to have found you, Daniel, you are very financially savvy.
Apple Card is for fair credit no anual fee 2 % cash back it’s great for me since I can’t get a chase or citi card
I'm going on a cruise on March 26-April 3 and for the no foreign transaction fees, I got the card. I got approved for $2000 on my second try 6 months later after being denied the first time around. After 3 months, they increased it to $2250.
Was it a hard pull when you tried the first time?
how much was your credit score the first time you applied ?
@@itzdwalk2u not it’s a soft pull
@@therealxtcash2163 they use trans union mines was around 600 when I got denied a few months later I’m around 670 and they just approved me today
@@bandokazoowee1024 ah mine is 710 but they only gave me a thousand limit which makes no sense
I recommend Wells Fargo active cash. With 2% cash back and a welcome bonus of $ 200. And no annual fee
Excellent information.. Thank you!!!
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
@@Daniel_Braun I hope so too. It could be a pretty cool card with some tweaks.
It’s free and there’s no fee. Why wouldn’t you get it? Even if you don’t use it, just get it
Great Video Daniel!
Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad the video was helpful for you in making a decision for applying!
Its really hard to get approved though I have good credit and I keep getting denied
Comprehensive and intelligent
So elaborate thank you!! So wait, i want to finance an iPad with a newly approved apple card. Does that mean the FULL iPad price will be deducted from my credit limit in full immediately or only the finance amount eg. $169, will be deducted from my credit limit monthly. So i don’t exced credit usage?????
Wells Fargo active cash is the best everyday flat rate spend. 2% back plus 200 dollar bonus.
First time applying for a CC, Do I have to use it every month? What if I stop using it? Does it go to bad credit? Thank you
You can use a credit card as often or as little as you want! The most important thing is to only use it if you know that you already have the money set aside to pay off your balances on time and in full each month. I've got other video here like this one that should be helpful: th-cam.com/video/2WLZY7aJ7Ak/w-d-xo.html
Love the breakdown and comparison. Keep up the good work!
What if I just use it to buy iPhone and nothing else and not use it til it’s paid off?
Can I use Apple credit card everywhere like Capital one , Bank of america , wellsfargo credit card ?
Im 20 years old with 699 credit score and really wanted an apple card. Got declined and ended up with Discover cash back.
That’s really the only reason to use this card.
wait so i’m confused, i have a debit card and i wanna buy an iphone in payments but it’s telling me i have to use the apple card. do i have to have the $1300 (how much total the iphone costs) in the apple card? or can i put in the $50 a month every month (payment amount each month)
would this card be good as a second credit card ?
This is what I’m wondering too
@@jaz8582 i mean if it helps i went ahead and got mine nothing happened so if you want to i’ll say go ahead
Would 3% back work with T-Mobile monthly service payment ?
Let's be honest. The reason most people got the Apple Card was because it had their logo on it. 😂
@@XxsoonerbornxX nah it's because it has the 🍏 on it 😂
Actually if you apply through credit karma. You get $75 after spending $75 in the first month I think.
It has no foreign transaction fees for a 0 annual fee card.
I have it a like it, it’s ok, a little confusing when trying to pay less then full balance or to do a balance and monthly. Idk.
I've had mine since 2020, its technically a boring card with nothing major to offer but I love the UI which is the only reason why i keep it. Plus it's the only mastercard I have and I have all the major cards except discover.
Do I have this right? So physically using the card is bad since it onlys gives you 1% back. So you want to make the card ur default in the wallet app then just use apple pay through ur phone when making purchases so you get the 2% cash back while also building credit score?
i slightly want one, but income is my limiting factor
also applies to any credit card in general
Yeah income is always one of those important factors for getting approved for many credit cards!
Same I don’t want to overspend and end up in debt. Let me know what your solution or great card you find please.
6:00 i think about the apple card exactly like this bc i invest everything i save
I only got an apple card so I can do monthly payments for my laptop😂
No interest on apple products is good, I bought a $4000 laptop with it and put the $4000 I saved for the laptop in index fund
Samsung user and android fan boy here, but according to CK I would easily be approved for this card, just doesn't make sense to have for me!
How come so I see is a black screen
Try reloading, sometimes TH-cam has been giving me that error when I play videos on their mobile app
Great review! Thorough and fair!
Thanks so much, I appreciate that!
Great info:)
Thanks so much Dylan! 👍
I am thinking of getting just for buying a new computer from apple not sure for anything else.
Hey , so can people that don’t have a job use the Apple Card ?
They were unable to verify my identity. Support was no help, it’s a known issue on their end.
Apple approved me with fair credit chase wont so it depends if your are on the good/excellent credit then go for chase or other top tier cards
I want to finance an apple product and im also new to credit cards, should I apply for it ? I could afford buying it cash but financing would help me stay on my current budget
What’s the average credit score to be approved??
mine a 760 got approved with $6,500 limit..
@@Daniel-ei5si
Was approved for $8,000..
Not bad!
I love it, but you don’t have t iPhone it’s harder to pay you bills
Yeah its not a bad card if you have the iPhone. Thanks for watching Muriel!
So my credit limit for my apple card is 3k and I have spent 10k in Dec and Jan together
Oh wow, interesting. Well if you've been paying it off as soon as you purchase it then that's possible
Hey so I just turned 18 a month ago apart of applying Is reporting your annual income I work a part time job so how should I go about this?
You should figure out what your monthly income is then multiply that by x12 and that’s your annual income. You also have keep in mind taxes and all that stuff that might affect your income
Question for everyone... Say for example you have a credit limit of $1000 and you opted for an installment amount of $600 to be paid in 12 months. ($50 per month)
- Is it 50/1000 utilization per month? Like amount to be paid over the total credit limit?
- Or 600/1000 first month, 550/1000 second month, 500/1000 3rd month and so on and so fort utilization rate? Like it's basing on the total financed amount divided by credit limit which means your utilization will be so high for a couple of months?
Just need to understand so I can wisely build my credit score. Thank you!
The second one
Keep in mind the utilization is combined with all your other credit cards. For example, if you have $5000 total in multiple cards; keep your total utilization under 30%. Example; $5000 - 30% = $1500.
If you keep your utilization under 30% by the report date your credit score will not be affected. Just make sure you payoff the other credit card that charge interest rate and keep monthly installments on Apple Card; due to its interest free if you buy Apple products under installments. Make sure it’s under installments not purchase in full.
If I want to start building credit will this be good?
on the off chance u r a student in uni it would probably be best to try a discover student card
Opinions on the Apple Card vs amex everyday card for which would have a higher limit? I’ve heard both are generous but my goal is to get the CSP and have heard it helps to already have a card with at least a 5k limit
Apple gave me a 6,500 limit ..Amex gave me a $2000 both have a soft pull you can dined the offer if you don’t like the amount offered to you
So if you spent the 5k you have to pay it back the next month
