As a Marine Veteran, this has hit me extremely hard. His music got so many of us through tough days and times. Saw him with the USO and 5 times in concert back here at home. Every single show was phenomenal. At the end, he'd always bring all of the Veterans up on stage. We lost a great man, American and Patriot.
Toby Keith’s death hit me pretty hard. I grew up surrounded by country music, especially Toby. My dad introduced me to toby with “Red Solo Cup” and, in my dads final months as he fought Liver Disease, he would always sing lines from “I aint as good as i once was”
I have to take over the music at my local bar so I can play this and a bunch more of his songs in his honor. I think both the expats and Thais will love it.
I live in Mississippi and played pool tournaments all over the state for the last 20 years. I've only seen 2 bars with chicken wire around the stages. One was in Kiln, MS where Brett Farve is from, and the other was some little bar on a swampy river near the Alabama line. Both places seemed like the kind of bars that needed it 😅
My grandpa whom I called “Vapa”, passed away from congestive heart failure in September 2022 at the age of 87. He “lived many moons” and his “body was weathered and worn.” As much as he didn’t want to do it, he “let the old man in.” RIP Vapa ❤️🙏🏼🥺 Toby Keith was and will forever be one of my favorite country artists. RIP Toby Keith “Big Dawg.”
Love Ya Toby! Some fun facts: Toby always has “friends” singing on his songs. This Bar - you’ll hear Dolly at the end. Highly recommend: Little Too Late. Great video but, his powerful vocals with Willie Nelson mixed in is ear-candy! Willie can be heard in a lot of Toby’s music. Like: Whiskey Girl. Then the epic duo in: Beer For My Horses. Willie will be 91 in April…Honor while he’s with us.
I'm betting the chicken wire came from the movie Roadhouse, but I could be wrong. I've never been to a country bar that had it and I'm from West Texas. Peace, Love!! RIP Toby!!
There's a very appropriate song that he wrote about/for a very dear friend of his, Wayman Tisdale, who also died due to cancer, check out Cryin For Me (Wayman's Song)
Fantastic job with your cover of I Love This Bar from Toby Keith (RIP my country brother ). &If you All could do a reaction to A little To LATE FROM HIM I WOULD TOTALLY APPRECIATE IT.THX .
I'm from Toby Keith's home state of Oklahoma and I've been to more than a few country bars in my day. I have personally never seen anyone throw anything at the band, that's usually more of a sporting event thing around here. I'm sure they might get pretty Rowdy in some of the smaller towns though
Check out “Crying For Me”and “Don’t Let The Old Man In” this song is kinda like Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” both songs were the last songs they recorded. Crying For Me was dedicated to Waymon Tisdale
RIP Toby Keith. The secret verse to I Love This Bar; We got hot divorcees And a big bouncer man We got an old jukebox And really bad band We got waitresses Yeah we have bar fights I’ve seen one dumbass And a wise guy If you get too drunk Just sleep out in your car Hmm-hmm-hmm I love this bar
Chicken wire part I always felt it was a tribute to the old country legends Merle and George jones others talk about life on the road people throwing drunks throwing beer bottles at them in the early days
In some honky-tonks they would throw bottles or glasses at the band!!! However, if the crowd liked the band they would empty the bottles and glasses BEFORE they threw them!!!
This video cut out the last part of the song We got divorces and a big bouncer man an old jukebox and a really bad band we got waitresses and we bar fly's a dumb ass and a wise guy if get to drunk just sleep out in your car oh oh oh oh oh I love this bar.
You sure you ain't confusing this with "I Ain't As Good As I Once Was"? The "big bouncer man" line doesn't seem to fit the song, but it does fit "As Good As I Once Was", since it was repurposed as "One big bad biker man".
I think Toby started calling himself and independent.. Can't say for sure.. because I personally hate politics.. I haven't watched the news for anything but the weather in years now.. I put in my vote.. that's all I can do.. then I'm done.. what happens after that I can't change and I don't want the stress of watching nonsense everyday .. I have enough stress taking care of my 82 year old Mother.
One more final round to the legend. RIP Toby Keith.

RIP Big Dog ❤ thanks for making my life a little better place because of your art .
This is the life we led out west in the 60's, and 70's! I miss those days so much!

RIP for ur dad too. I'm getting to that point in life where I'm thinking "I ain't as good as I once was." ❤
Lulu’s top is fantastic 😅

OLE' SCHOOL COUNTRY BAR!!!!
Wow! Just, Wow!
We lost him at 62.🙏🏼 RIP Toby🇺🇸
I use to hang out in a bar like this. Chicken wire surrounding the stage. Western bands. Johnny Paycheck played there a few times.

A new fan ... of LuLu, keep doing what you do so well.
We love this Star!
Good lord. I love your shirt Lulu. It's made for you! 👍🌷
Everyone of Toby Keith 's videos is a mini movie that tells a story.
They throw bottles when they are happy and when they are mad. :)
whoo, Lulu provides two very good reasons to watch! don't miss 'em!
I’m not as I was,wasn’t once.by Toby Keith.Vonnie ❤❤❤❤❤

The bar scene is like from the movie Roadhouse. It's like the 80s. That really doesn't happen anywhere anymore.
Rest in peace Toby Rest in peace
My old granny ass is ❤broken...but as a 5th generation vet; we will never forget; raise your red solo cups to a true American hero🤠🇺🇸
I'm betting the chicken wire came from the movie Roadhouse, but I could be wrong. I've never been to a country bar that had it and I'm from West Texas. Peace, Love!! RIP Toby!!
Bullshit ,that’s every dove and redneck bar in the Midwest and south
Chicken wire was used the "Blues Brothers".

Yeah we have bar fights
I’ve seen one dumbass
And a wise guy
If you get too drunk
Just sleep out in your car
Hmm-hmm-hmm
I love this bar
Got to watch " Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" Make sure it's the one that starts with the flag flying and him in a sleeveless shirt and hat.
I was a cook at a bar like that and yes I was the Bartenders pitbull
Nothing wrong with red or conservative. In fact, that makes him a decent man.
as good as i once was
Chicken wire part I always felt it was a tribute to the old country legends Merle and George jones others talk about life on the road people throwing drunks throwing beer bottles at them in the early days
His "How do you like me now" is the ultimate, High School kid's fantasy. Ignored, mocked and ridiculed and now.......
In some honky-tonks they would throw bottles or glasses at the band!!! However, if the crowd liked the band they would empty the bottles and glasses BEFORE they threw them!!!

rip
Great song,we don't need to hear her laughing tho,we need Toby
You didn't mention about what all he did for our troops
Have y'all ever seen Roadhouse.. Patrick Swayze movie.. the cage for the band is there.. lol
Nothing wrong with being red
Have you done Family Tradition? Another great bar song by Hank Williams Jr.
Cold room?
Geez, that woman is hotter than 🔥
You usually see chicken wire cages in jook joints not bars.
