Greetings from North bay Ontario. I enjoyed the video. .but I want to let you know that thanks to you. I am 5 days a "lulu" eater LOL. Sticking to the program. Encouraged by being down 2 pounds! I know that will slow as time goes on. But I am enjoying my meals.. easy to prep for, faithfully weighing my food, and no desire to nibble!! Thank you, thank you. Christine.
Luanne looking absolutely beautiful! Definitely glowing! What a wonderful friend Lulu! I got the Senior lifetime pass as soon as I turned 62! It was part of my retirement plan! It is wonderful! Thank you wonderful ladies for sharing! What a joy to see both your beautiful smiling faces! 🥰
Luanne!!!! So nice to see you!!! Teacher here🙋♀️. Insight into why fourth graders get passes... fourth graders in every state study their state during their 4th grade social studies class. The E.K.I.P ( Every Kid In a Park) program provides a great way for students to enjoy the parks in their state during their 4th grade year as an enrichment of their academic year. I taught 4th grade for a while and got to take my classes on FREE field trips because of it and several parents registered their children and went right back out to the park with their entire family. It's a GREAT free incentive to get families out in nature with their little ones. My parents enjoyed their senior pass for $10 (decades ago) I was with them when they bought it out in Arizona. Great vlog Lulu and Luanne. Lots of great information!!!
Love my America the Beautiful Senior pass. Just remember to have your ID ready. They do check them. I have also had some state parks give me a discount for having the senior pass.
Both you ladies are just a ray of sunshine,! You brighten my day Lulu ! I just got my pass 2 weeks ago❤️ I just purchased my van. My son is having to go threw chemotherapy right now, but when he gets well I am hitting the road. Thank you Lulu for giving this worried mom a break for a few minutes, watching your videos takes my mind off cancer for a few minutes a day. Stay sweet my utube friend!❤
We bought our America the Beautiful Pass in August 2017, the last week it was $10.00 for lifetime Senior pass. We travel full time and this pass has saved us SO much money. Free entrance for up to 4 people on your pass. Also 50% off camping at Federal Lands and Army Corps Recreation Areas. An enormous savings! Y'all are so good together and such fun to watch the two Lulus!
Magnolia Beach Tx is free camping, it has Restrooms dumpster and showers. I camped their last 2 winters for a few days. If it gets too windy or cloudy , Victoria Texas has electric water hook ups dumpster for 12$ a night, no restrooms about 30 to 40 minutes from magnolia beach.
great seeing luanne and the two of you together. luanne looks fabulous. looking forward to seeing your texas beach series. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
I love Luanne, she’s a hoot, can’t wait til you two go on your trek this fall. Dollar stores look out, here comes the Lulu’s 😂❤ Have fun, your pal Susie ❤
Great Info! I think I'll share this with a couple of people. That pass for 4th graders would be a great deal for maybe their End of Year field trips, or if teachers are doing a unit on identifying trees, bugs, wildlife, etc. Thanks Lulu and Friend. Have fun on your upcoming trip!
Very helpful information! Thanks for this! Luanne, you’re a peach! My dad always says how many turns around the sun he is. I’ve never heard anyone else use that phrase - I love it! 💜
Texas does have palm trees. I have one in my back yard. Not sure if the Texas beaches have palm trees on them like Luanne’s background, but there are nice sandy beaches, which reminded me a lot of Florida, when I visited!
Hello from a native Texan! Love your channel & uplifting videos. Texas beaches aren’t known to be the most beautiful, but there are palm trees. I love the feel of the ocean breeze, the feel & smell of the warm salt water, & the sight & sound of sea gulls overhead. Galveston has my favorite seafood restaurant, Guido’s, right on the sea wall! It’s been there for ages and is quite an experience for the senses. Their food & service are always wonderful, the decor is beautiful “old Galveston” style, & their gift shop is a fun place to wander around & pick up souvenirs like pretty oyster shell wind chimes. I haven’t been there lately (other than for cruises out of port Galveston) but this makes me want to go just to stay at the beach! South Padre Island has a beautiful white sand beach. There is an amusement park there with a go kart track that’s really fun! It has a wooden track that winds up & down & all around. Im 72 & still love to ride go-karts! I haven’t been to Corpus Christi as much so can’t tell you much about it. I just remember thinking the town driving toward the beach was lovely & they do have palm trees. If you know which beach you’re going to, I’d love to make a road trip and meet you there in person. I just love your happy, fun outlook on life & well-being. I’m a widow & free to go!
Thanks for the informative video. I'd heard about the America the Beaitiful pass a few years ago but never could figure out how to purchase it. Your link went straight to the site☺️
Terrific! If you go to a lot of national parks, a fun thing to get is the national park passport book. Each national park, historic site, etc has a stamp you can use in the visitor centers to document your travels. We got one when my son was younger and we still use it.
Lulu!! My nephew and I made you a dance video to our favorite song, Ready To Dance!! But I don’t Facebook and I don’t know how to get it to you. We LOVE your positivity, energy and LIGHT! Thank YOU!!
Thanks for all the great information! Any advice and info on Seniors saving money as that please post! It was so much fun watching you all last year in the West! 🕺 🎵 🏖️ 🌞 🏊 ❤
Mine looks much different, but I bought it almost exactly eight years ago, on the morning of my 62nd birthday. It was only $10 back then, and I wasn't letting that slip by. The America the Beautiful Pass also gives you discounts at many state parks. Here in Oregon, we only pay half price.
Here in Southern California, local libraries are issuing State Park day passes. You can use the pass for a one day trip to the beach, the mountains, or just about any historic site in the State of California.
I was lucky enough to get my America the Beautiful senior pass for $10, just before they raised it to $80. I only used it on one trip that year but it is still in my wallet!
We have 3 annual passes and next year we are turning them in and paying our $20 for the lifetime pass. We camp at the national parks on the OuterBanks and get the 50% off each night. They have 3 campgrounds if you go to the national park side of the outerbanks and not the tourist side. Not a lot of places to buy groceries so bring plenty. We have taken the free ferry over to Ocracoke Island and the National campground there is half price too. All of them are just a walk over the sand dunes to the Ocean. Love the national park campgrounds because most of them are in nature and not those parking lot campgrounds that cost a fortune. Why pay for a parking lot when you got a Cracker Barrel. We also used the pass to camp in the smokey mountains. No cell phone service but right on the river and the spots were so far from each other. It was so peaceful.
I am so enjoying your videos - we have a lot in common! I’ll be 67 in November, I am very independent (I’m on my own now as I lost my wonderful husband 6 years ago) and I love to travel. I’m checking into the pass!
Wow this is great information! I am just getting into the car camping scene and have been trying to find sites that are great to camp at! Thank you so much for all this great information!
Great information! I would like to see more videos on how to navigate the journey of van life/travel across the U.S. I am almost ready to be a road warrioress. And yes! REI is nationwide. They are an outfitter and advocate for getting people outside. They offer grants toward upkeep of trails and waterways. They are more than a sporting goods store.
We used to have the America the Beautiful pass years ago. It was worth it when we did travel. Very informative and I may do it again alone since my spouse passed away:) Thank you, ladies and come on down to Texas! :)
Yellowstone is $50 to pay to get into the park. And that’s every time you enter. I got mine the day I turned 62. I was so excited to turn 62 just to get the Senior pass. I’ve saved so much money staying at COE campgrounds, you can stay at them for 1/2 price. Some state parks also will honor the Senior pass. Too bad Oklahoma State Parks don’t honor it, but the Oklahoma COE honor them.
It used to be only 20 year veterans with a military disability could get a free Access pass. Several years ago they changed it to any military veteran or active duty. A real bonus is the Corps of Engineers campgrounds (almost always on a body of water) and Federal National Sites and byways (ie: Skyline Drive) for free! fyi: In the State of Maryland has a lifelong senior pass that offers half price camping Mon-Thurs and the real plus is you do not need to be a MD resident,
After watching this I knew I have a park pass for something so I looked. It's the ATB pass Senior!!! Yay I only paid $20 tho but now know how to pay. Thx Lus
