1. small strings cannot be put under a lot of tensions.
2. Make the straps longer and you can shorten them after attached and stable. Small particle distance on strap while working - 5 is fine.
3. PIN the back of the strap in place FIRST - before sewing the mask on Use Pinbox on the end of the straps to move them with the gizmo - moving a single pin when on small particle distance is hard so give yourself a larger pinned area to grab
4. Lengthen & Shorten using Offset Pattern Outline ONLY when changing length of the straps after they have pins in them - THIS IS KEY to having the pinned areas not move while lengthening straps. Get a mask attached at the ends - THEN shorten little by little again with an Offset pattern outline.
5. You'll need to delete any points that are in the way as you retract the pattern outline or it cannot pass the points
6. Do not remove the pins behind the ears - hide them
7. I applied Bonding to the mask parts also - can probably add to straps.
8. I Put an elastic fabric on the straps- I do not recommend the use of elastic segment property for any parts of this - it will make the strap fight with the ear and is not really helpful.
9. I tried to shape the nose first with some small internal lines first - if you use tacks you might have to lengthen them a little to give better buoyancy.
10. Add Friction to the skin to stop the mask from sliding around if you pull.
