Your reviews are brilliant! Thank you! I am a wanabe EUC beginner and I am hesitating between the IM V's; the 5 the 8 and the 10. Money isn't an object as long as it is well spent. I saw you running your dog, brilliant! I got a high energy dog too (still 7 months old). So that's one of the planned uses. He outperforms me massively as a runner (especially in speed) so the EUC would be a godsend to give him a worthy workout. At first I thought to use my bicycle but this is way more handy. And I have a weekly commute by train to our weekend place involving 10 miles of travel to the station. The V5 is going to be the best for learning I guess but I am afraid I will outgrow it quite soon. Will I , and how quickly will I outgrow the V8 ?? The V10F looks very promising, perhaps a bit overkill and heavy on the commutes and how much steeper is the learning curve compared to the V5 ?? I don't want to buy a new wheel every year either. You tested them all, so which one would you recommend?
Glad you find them helpful! I would put my money on the 16X here: www.speedyfeet.co.uk/collections/electric-unicycle-segway/products/kingsong-ks16xl The V5 and V8 with a dog wont be enough for you. V10F yes, but 16X is more feature rich.
Actually the algorithm is very well done, if you don't want to hear the alarm you just have to "feel" the wheel. The V10F (I assume it's the same for the V10) gets a bit "stiffer" before the alarm like you can't lean as easily then alarm then tilt-back. I found it very well done and secure. It's very different from the Kingsong 16S I also have which solely have alarms at set speed and tiltback when it wants based on available power.
