I know this is a three year old wheel but as a new euc rider I think my opinion has some value. also I filmed this review on my smartphone so that's why the audio is unbalanced.
Nice job on the review. I just got mine in December and have had fun learning so far. Apartment hallway since it's winter in MN but I should be ready to roll outside when the weather warms up.
@@rich566 I got up the nerve to ride outside. I took it to a friend's house to show him the ECU and rode it around the block in 10 degrees temps and snow packed streets. I was surprised it didn't slide out from under me.
@@mikejennen3117nice. it's funny you mention that, I was riding yesterday and totally wiped out while riding through some snow. I won't be doing that again.
Watched this again (really is a good review), reread my questions I posted below and I'm more confident that this is the wheel for me. Now I need to go buy it before I change my mind. Again. LOL Regarding the handle, I saw another review where the rider stuck velcro under the handle to keep it in position when his clip broke.
Yes that velcro is actually a good idea. Maybe I'll try it out. I'm still riding the wheel and have had no issues with it. I'd say it's a solid purchase for a first wheel.
Great review! This will be my first wheel. I just wish they made the outer shell a matte black instead of the glossy black so you dont see the scratches
Thanks. The glossy black looks so stylish though. Anyway you won't regret your purchase. I still ride mine daily and in the two years I've owned it I have not had any problems whatsoever. I'm actually going to be changing the tire soon because I have passed 4000kms on it. It's a perfect wheel!
Great review, thanks Rich! I'm watching videos for a week now and and this one is the final decision maker :) I'm gonna buy a V10F. I'm so curious how I'll get on with it. Never rode a skate board or anything :)
Go for it man you won't regret it. I still ride mine daily. I've put over 5000kms on it and have had no issues at all. You'll do fine, it just takes practice and you'll eventually get the hang of it.
Hi and thank you for the excellent review. I've never ridden any EUC so I apologize for all the questions. :) 1) around @5:00 you are riding around and I noticed your knees and are not tight against the knee pads of the wheel - I thought as a rider you would need to squeeze the wheel but from your video that does not appear to be the case. Can you confirm for me? 2) If you are at a stop sign/stop light, can you or are you able to rock back and forth or do you have to get off the wheel? I've ridden hoverboards and would just rock back and forth until safe to cross the street - I would not need to step off of the board. Likewise, I did not experience any issues with damaging the board by doing this. 3) May I ask how old you are? I'm approaching 50, good shape, 145 pounds and wondering if it's stupid for me to even consider picking up this hobby at my age. 4) Do you find that you get any exercise from riding this or is it primarily for fun (I know in another comment you mention you use this for work and play; my question stems from that comment)? 5) @7:00 you talk about slips - Can you elaborate a bit more on what this means? In my mind, I'm picturing you standing on top of the wheel and the wheel is spinning but you are not actually moving. Is this correct? 6) Great advice for the air pressure - I haven't heard that from other reviews I've watched. I'd also be a cruiser rather than a stunter. Lower tire pressure _should_ help more in with grip in the off road scenarios, too. When I had a Jeep Wrangler, we'd air down for more comfort and traction. I bet no one has ever compared an EUC to a Jeep Wrangler before! LOL 7) Speaker - I HIGHLY doubt I'd be playing tunes through the wheel but in the event I do, is the speaker good? On the hoverboard I had, it was awful at best. It should not have even been listed as a selling feature on the hoverboard. 8) What attracted you to an EUC?
Hi Daryl, #1 no you definitely do not want to squeeze the wheel with your knees. The wheel needs to have a little play while riding. #2 while stopped, you can rock back and forth if you want but taking a step off the wheel is easier in my opinion. (Riding backwards is very difficult) #3 I'm a few years younger than you and at 170lbs i can ride the wheel just fine. I would definitely recommend picking up this hobby now. #4 riding the wheel does not provide any exercise whatsoever. I use the wheel for commuting and for fun. #5 the wheel only slips when on a slippery surface like mud or snow/ice. Otherwise I have never slipped. #6 also keep in mind you don't want the air pressure to be too low as that will affect your range. #7 I have never used the euc speaker for music. I use a small separate Bluetooth speaker while riding #8 what attracted me to the euc was the small size & portability. Also the range. I have limited space where I live so I can store the euc in my closet when not in use. I hope this answers all of your questions.
@@Cons2911 I haven't yet, had some unexpected high dollar expenses come up. Hopefully next month I can get the V8S. That seems to be the sweet spot for my weight, the speed I would be comfortable with, and the distance I could theoretically cover (I'm assuming half the manufacturers claim).
@@TheRoadTaken oh no worries sir. I'm aiming for 10f maybe higher. But I'm not in the US so choices are a bit limited. They had pretty good ones they got sold when I was still deciding. I'm not sure if I'll go all out or save money and go 10f. Decent power and range, tho I imagine that will feel low after a while
Great video! I will buy V10F as well. Just want to ask you is it possible to travel with Inmotion v10f by train in Canada? Via Rail Canada web page saying that everything more than 100 watts hour is prohibited item. Do you have any real-life experience to travel with this wheel inside the train in Canada? If it's possible somehow it's a real ideal personal transportation. Thank you in advance for any of your thoughts/advice. Maybe hiding the wheel inside the bag will work?
Hi. I have never taken the wheel on via rail. I have only taken it on local public transport trains and have never had any issues. I can't imagine them giving you a hard time. If they question you than just tell them the wheel is a 100 watt hour vehicle. How could they prove you wrong?
I fell on day two while I was still learning. Since then I haven't fallen. I ride very conservatively and defensively. I never do anything stupid while riding.
Excellent review, I got the v11 recently, love riding it but still a bit learning to do, done about 400 miles , but I'm getting better the more miked I do, do u use yours to commute or just for fun ?, great video
Thanks! I use my v10f for both actually. Commuting and cruising around. You're absolutely right, the more miles you rack up, the more natural it becomes. It's so easy for me now, although I still cannot ride backward no matter how hard I try.
The reason you can only charge to 96% is that this type of battery last longer @ that charge level. This is also true for your cell phone. You can charge it 100% but it's not a goòd idea..
Hello, for the 99%, it's your charger who doesn't deliver the right voltage, you can adjust it like this : th-cam.com/video/6m0wzurlLmY/w-d-xo.html It's very important to do the full charge, if not your battery cells will not be balanced correctly.
You're really good at making reviews. I think you should keep on uploading stuff. come on!
Wow thanks. But I don't have anything else to review. I just made this video for fun.
Great review video! One of the better reviews I’ve seen. I wish we could go riding 🙏🏼
Wow that's so kind of you. Thanks!

Thanks. I still ride mine regularly even now in January. As long as the pavement is dry I'm out there.

Does anyone try to make this wheel tubeless? Is it a good idea just to add sealant inside the tube if total tubeless conversion is too painful?
Your broken clip for the handle can be replaced with a v5f clip the same part as the V10
Really? I'm going to look into that. Thanks.
