Glad you found one you like for your journey, the Africa Twin is a highly rated bike. I have a 2023 NC and am happy with it, no one rides with me and at 75 I don’t do the long journeys anymore, enjoy.
Hi mate, There are so many new channels coming up in my feed. It's great fun to meet new fellow vlogers, I had the NC has always caught my eye, I had a CBX750f back in the day, Was a great bike, Enjoyed the post & congrats on your new bike ,I look forward to watching some adventures, Sent you a sub mate , Cheers & ride safe
Nicely confident on the lane splitting for such a [new] bike. Enjoy your new ride. Thankfully for me I'm single, and don't do off road so am sticking with me NC.
Really enjoyed watching this. I've got the 2016-2020 NC750X DCT at the moment, and whilst been in for some diagnostic work I have had the same model of NC750X you had...and I hated it. Yeah it was more powerful, but the suspension was terrible - I've got standard on mine and the '23 rear shock bottomed out on a drain cover which I routinely go over without a second thought on mine. Not that I particularly like my bike either tbh, but that model you had was a real step backwards (I test rode them back to back as well). Although one thing in it's favour was that the stock screen didn't have any buffeting on the '23. I had the CRF1000L Africa Twin before (with a VFR800F in between), everything since the AT went to the 1100cc engine seriously improved it over the bike I had, the new one is real peach! And the DCT box, now it has the IMU, doesn't change down mid corner - they've absolutely nailed it. I think I'll go for the NT now they've made those changes to the '25 onwards bikes, because I only do road riding...but it's a stonking engine, isn't it?
Thanks for your comments, I did really love the dct on mine but before that I tested a AT with dct and I hated it but I think I had it in the worst mode according to my dealer. Anyway I think the 2025 NC looks brilliant but I'm going to stick with the AT now . Another bike that appeals to me is the XADV 750 .......maybe in a few year's. 👍
@@Crohniebiker I'm liking the look of that new Triumph Tiger Sport 800 I must say, and partly that's down to much the same reason as you liked the AT and disliked the NC - standard fit Cruise control! I also have a problem with my right shoulder which long periods of motorway speeds really aggrevates). Looking forward to how you get on with the AT though - not many people seem to choose the standard one of the AS now, but I think it looks much nicer.
Swapped mine out after a few thousand miles because, for me, the seat was painful after 50 to 70 miles and the suspension. Swapped for a Transalp XL750 which was much better in both those areas. I have bought the slimmer seat for the TA and worried the comfort would go but no. God knows how they took 20mm off, so I could plant my feet better at a stop, and keep it multi hour / mile comfortable. Others have a great life with their NC750X, the FRUNK is brilliant and missed, but for me personally I am happy in changing for the TA. I wish you well and safe journeys.
@DavesPhotoUK thank you, I also tried the transalp but without cruise control it wasn't an option. I will be using my AT mainly for big tours so it's important for me .
@Crohniebiker I dont want to have a 1000 settings on my bike. Switcheable abs and traction control are enough. When you start the bike you can start over again to adjust the settings. I will go crazy to endure that every Day. For the rest a beautifull bike.
About time you got it out Gaz love the new bike, great honest review why you changed, but when we meet up I'll carry extra petrol for you🤣🤣🤣joking ride safe bud
I've never actually had a new bike. Quite a few, "nearly new", say a month old, with 300 miles on the clock but never a truly new bike, fresh from the dealer. With a couple of purchases I did realise I had made a mistake, though not because of any fault with the machine, I just didn't get on with the bike. I've never bought a lemon. Perhaps I am just lucky.
@richardhretczak536 yeah I'm aware of the cruise control and u did consider it aswell as upgrading the suspension but it still wouldn't be able to cope with a bit of off reading due to ground clearance issues. Still a great bike though 👌 Thanks for watching 👍
You’re missing the hand guard deflectors. You only have the mounting brackets fitted. My Honda dealer tried the same with my transalp and I had to request the rest of deflectors..
Well - 100% sure you've made a smart move ? - Looks like you've surrendered to Hondas' press, and bought a more expensive Honda - just to get an OK bike, instead of pressing them to make the NC750 a proper vehicle - WITH CC, WITH good suspension...... You've bought THIS one, even, you ( from your description of the situation ) don't seem to really, need it ! : Honestly - Do you NEED all the horse powers of AT ?? Do you NEED to spend ~ X 2 on fuel ( which you ARE DOING with AT ) ?? Do you NEED to lift a top heavy bike ( much easier to drop this one, than the NC....!! ) ?? Do you NEED to pay for all the OFF-road capabilities of this bike ?? Honda is a strange and stingy company - STILL didn't update the NC750 - ONLY because they want people to buy the 1100 series !!! So - if answer to all my questions are YES - congrats with a new 🏍
@ekimandersom4478 it's a bit taller, which I like because I always thought the NC was very low (I have 34"inside leg ) so naturally the AT is the right size for me .👍
@ Yes for me the NC is the perfect height. My point is more that a 750 with 54hp will last longer than the same with 94hp. Making it the “better” bike.

@@mrhouse3826 you can't go wrong with the NC. I do miss the dct 👍
@@Crohniebiker Why dont you take the DCT version?
@ONESiXdesign I did test ride the AT with dct but unfortunately I didn't like it. Plus it's a bit more expensive. 👍
Congratulations! Great bike!

Great choice, I changed my 22 Nc750x dct for a NT1100 manual with quick shifter, I do prefer this better than dct
Enjoy the new bike
I love my nc750 especially the 85mpg!
Great move! You’ll appreciate the extra power two-up!
Well done sir!

Gorgeous looking bike, can't wait to test him out on the trip to Belgium 😊

Nice bike. The reason why I dont buy an Africa Twin is because of the lot of buttons on the steeringwheel.
@vinjofin1972 yes I agree with you about that. I still don't know what they are all for 🤣

Nice bike to have one thing you will notice? You will be stopping for petrol a lot more?
@johnterry804 well yes maybe but the AT gas a bit bigger tank do maybe it will even out ?

I only kept my dct for 3 months. Much prefer manual. The NCsuspension is awful as is the quality of the swing arm
