Sorry to hear about the motor. That is not a normal issue. I wouldn’t be worried about it going forward for the Massey as that is a pretty reliable motor from what I understand. That Yanmar engine would likely be coming from Japan or China depending on the Yanmar tractor you bought, not Georgia or much is a US assembly plant for Yanmar. I believe the closest dealer to you for Yanmar would be in Ocala not Gainesville.

Thank you for the reply. It has been 2 years since I researched the tractors, so you are probably right about the nearest dealer. Do you have a Massey Ferguson? I was told by my dealer that the 2605H was discontinued already because they tried to make it too simple. Is this turnaround time normal for tractor companies? I took my original video down because I would not want someone to have the same issues I am having. Thanks again for the information, and I hope you have a wonderful day.

@@matthewrussell5620 No, I have an LS MT 342 cab tractor which is new. Had a John Deere 2320 for 17 years prior. Most of my neighbors who are big farmers all bought from Hobo tractor though. They are the best dealer IMHO in the area. I would have bought from them, but really wanted a cab, and it would have been considerably more money to get a cabbed Massey Ferguson. I am a light user though, and what I do is property maintenance only, If making my living off the tractor, the Hobo and Massey it would be. Your 2605h is a very heavily built bare bones machine. Neighbor has one (not sure if it is the same HP model, but same overall tractor) that gets a ton of hay work done. A good alternative for you would be a Massey 2800 series M model which are very reliable made in Japan by Iseki (Massey doesn’t build any of their compact tractors, most are made by Iseki). These models come with a very nice hydrostatic option or a very nice hydraulic shuttle shift. I was seriously considering the slightly smaller 1840m model Massey Ferguson, but the cab version would have cost more than I was willing to pay.

Thank you for the information. I spoke with Massey Ferguson and was told that Massey Ferguson has parted ways with the manufacturer in India that made the MF 2605H, and the model has been discontinued. They are under contract to provide parts for 15 years, but the soonest that they can have a motor in the states is October 13, which certainly creates concern. According to Massey, Hobo was supposed to give me an update, but I never get a call back from Hobo and only get updates when I call them. May you have a blessed day.
