Plowing with the Massey 2605H and International 420 Plow

I love this Massey Ferguson 2605H! In this video I put it to work doing tough summer tillage on a field that has been fallow for many years and horse pasture before that. I doubt it has ever been plowed, certainly not for many a year.
The 2605H handled the International 420 plow with ease as I expected given 55 hp, four wheel drive and the weight this tractor brings to the fight. The south end was pretty rocky and broke a tip on the first bottom, and this plow had been fallow for some time and the trips were a bit stiff, but rest assured they are loose now. I wish I had another few acres to get the bottoms scoured better, but it is what it is.

I have taken the 471 fwa with a bale on the front and pulled an MF 82 4-16 ;) in August alfalfa. It always amazed me how IH copied the MF 82 plow :);) The smaller fwa Masseys are as handy as a glove!

I'm glad MF still makes these tractors, waaayyy more robust than the "compact" tractors out there, plus they have draft control and weight. I keep my eye out for a MF plow (not that I really need one).

I got them from Taylor foundry in Texas - easy to work with
