OMG ! That video was sooo... touching. And what a story to tell. The little guy was so comforting to his mom. Just heartbreaking. Thank-you so much. And if I may, I too have a story to tell. It's about a tiny 9 year old Dutch girl who taught herself to sing by watching TH-cam videos. And this little girl had a dream. To maybe someday be able to sing on TV. Just once. That's all she wanted. This started at 7 but her parents said no .... but at 9 finally relented and signed her up for Holland's Got Talent. And what happened next shocked the music world ! This tiny little girl with absolutely no vocal training went on to win HGT and barely 6 months later was invited on stage with world famous conductor Andre Rieu and a full orchestra to perform in front of 15,000 people. Eight months previous she had only been singing at school and church ! She received a sustained standing ovation, and the rest as they say..... is history. She is such a sweet humble giving child with just a heart of gold. She has since created a charity to build playgrounds for underprivileged children in her mother's native South Africa where she has recently moved. Much of her winnings and earnings to date go towards her charity. And she thought of doing this on her own . It was also one of her dreams. Her name is Amira Willighagen and she is now 13...... and absolutely incredible ! Many say the voice of an angel. And I must add, her first performance on Holland's got Talent was singing the opera aria " O Mio Babbino Caro ". That performance now has 35 million views ! The one I would love to see you view is ...... Amira and Andre Rieu ..... " O Mio Babbino Caro " ..... 2014 ( now at 13 million views ). I can't wait to see your reaction . Big voice for such a little girl. She still sings opera but has branched out to include classical, old standards, religious pieces and so on.
