No need to apologize, Applegeek. In all honesty, it doesn't really look as bad as I thought it would be. I'm glad that you've figured out a way to get these videos back up.
At first I wondered what you meant by that, but after watching the episode again, it hit me that you're referring to Rusty Bucket having a copy of their Friendship Journal.
@@DeleonAnderson-sg1ml I don’t think they’ll touch upon that hint they laid out again, considering how IDW seems to be done with G4 comics and is now focusing on one’s for G5.
Don't get me started on how accurately awesome this episode was, i mean seeing Cozy Glow, Tirek and Chrysalis working together was truly amazing, especially when they sang together for the first time everybody loves a good villain song.
@@rudystarz4955 Commenter Dragon doesn't roll that way you nincompoop...he doesn't comment on just any mlp vid, he mostly only comments on vids that interest him, and from what i'v seen on your channel, i highly doubt he'll ever find your content interesting to comment on.
I like how chrysalis mentions Discord. He pretty much the only real threat to all. Would love to see flashbacks of his evil self interacting with other villains in the past.
Its true he can rip the fabric of reality. He basically has all the powers of the villains except for Tirek's. Discord cant absorb magic. But he can corrupt ponies to make up for it. Although I'm kinda glad he was reformed. Chrysalis spoke for most of the fandom and wanted Discord to stay evil. When he was evil, I thought it was slightly creepy, insanely off the wall and a bit depressing during his storm of Chaos. When he corrupted the Mane 6, it was tough for Twilight until she corrupted herself which was pretty depressing on it's own. And in Starlight's alternate universe where Discord ruled was as well depressing and a bit creepy but mostly depressing seeing the princesses helpless, humiliated and being tormented by Discord.
23:33 Have they forgetten that Grogar have a palantir with which he can see everything, including events of the past? I think this is a mission he would follow closely.
No way. That would imply Cozy has a brother too and everyone would whine about knowing nothing about him. With this though, it is hilarious to see that someone as evil as Tirek not only has a grandmother but seems to genuinely love her and refer to her as his gram-gram.
You said that Tirek was the smartest for realizing Grogar was right and waited, yet Cozy Glow knew that before they even started and tried to tell them that when they walked away. Not saying Cozy’s the best villain, but the logic there is skewed. Each of them, Sombra and Discord included, have come close to winning and in some cases did win, just defeated again shortly after.
You’re technically wrong. Cozy Glow wanted to work together with the others to reach the top of Mount Everhoof because Grogar told them to. She was the one urging them to work together earlier in the episode too, before they were given their task. She doesn’t believe that she needs them to reach the top. That’s why, immediately after they ditch her, she talks about getting to the top in a very confident tone. She believes it’s possible. And that’s why we see her try to reach the top multiple times, as she believes that she can. Tirek is the only one of the three who had the foresight to see that, if Grogar was unable to reach the Bell himself, Tirek couldn’t hope to either. Cozy Glow and Chrysalis were both too cocky to even consider that.
Possible instances of foreshadowing: Grogar said "I don't care how," regarding them learning to work together, and he also outright said "I don't trust anything any of you say," at the beginning of the episode. I have a strong feeling those three aren't gonna come out on top of Grogar in any future backstabbing plot, him getting the bell back is likely inevitable, and I think it's very noteworthy what the word "bewitch" can mean (my prediction is that well... remember that vision Twilight had in the premiere, because of Sombra?). It would really be a waste, if Grogar ended up getting Snoke'd (unceremoniously defeated/killed by underling(s)). In any case, Grogar comes across as the type to *never* be capable of friendship, in any capacity, while the other three seem like they _do_ have it in them, at least to some degree.
@@EnerJetix Chrysalis felt good after experiencing the nice gesture of Tirek giving back her power and felt at home which gives me the hope that she will turn good after all as soon as she stops combining friendship with Starlight destroying her life. I'd love to see her 'good' changeling form and see her beside Thorax as the queen of the changelings again.
Tirek smarter than Cozy Glow?? well... i respect all opinions but i think that is a reeeeeeeally big strecht. Are we forgetting that she managed to put all of Equestria in Check using ONLY her manipulation skills?. if it wasn't for Discord i would say that Cozy is definetly the best Villain of this entire series. Putting that matter aside.... i loved this episode, seeing the villains working together and even almost bonding with each other was great.
Yeah but you've got to admit that she would not have known how to drain all of the magic from Equestria if Tirek had not told her how to do it in his reply letters. So technically Tirek is smarter than her.
@@anettehvamjohnsen5979 not knowing how to do a specific process/ritual doesn't determine how smart you are... Tirek obviously has more magical knowledge than Cozy because he's inherently a more magical creature and also because he has lived for more than a thousand years... I consider Cozy to be smarter because she was able to pull off her plans and manipulations even thou she was only a kid.
@@BlackBurrito9073 All good points, and I agree that Cozy Glow is pretty smart for someone her age. I just think Tirek deserves a bit of credit too since he taught her all of that stuff. Also part of the reason why Cozy Glow was able to pull off her plans and almost succeeded was because nobody suspected her because she is just a kid. It does not necessarily make her smarter, it just means she had a big advantage on that part.
@@anettehvamjohnsen5979i mean she also comes up with the plan to get the bell out and has the idea to divide equestria at the end of summer sun setback.
@@trellyv8826 Ok, I agree. She is really clever. However you got to give Chrysalis a bit of the credit too. She kind of gave her the idea by using her shapeshifting powers and manipulating skills to make the unicorns turn on the main six by refusing to use their powers to perform before the ponies.
Applegeek, have you ever thought about cozy glows cutie mark? It is a chess piece. Sorry if you've talked about it before. I think it is interesting She plays people, plans things out, controls, etc.
I’m expecting in the grand finale that Cozy, the weakest and Team Mascot, gets caught in Grogar’s crosshairs and leads to the heel-face turn Team Better Bad.
Sorry you had to deal with all the copyright issue stuff, and having to bother reuploading all your vids. But at least you're all caught up (for now). Also, I wanted to point out about the so-called "hiding place" of the bell: I don't think that's *actually* where they hid it. At least, I believe the next time we see it, it'll be in a much better hiding spot. Though there is the theory going around that Grogar does know they have it. He just has another trick up his metaphorical sleeve. I'm just waiting to see what happens.
10:28, you're absolutely right! No one can deny the fact that Twilight had to resort to using not only the combined might of all the Alicorn Princesses, but also the magic of the tree of harmony to defeat Tyrek. Tyrek nearly put Equestria into an apocalyptic wasteland all on his own. Tyrek truly is the most powerful villain, (besides Discord), we've seen before Grogar showed up. I can't say anything for Nightmare Moon because we haven't seen much of her in combat, and I'm not sure anyone truly knows who or what Nightmare Moon is. So finding out where she lies in the Villainous power scale, I'm not sure. Edit 1: (Well now that I think about it, Tyrek is the most powerful villain, because he was able to drain Discord's magic, at some point of draining magic from other creatures.)
Chrysalis: "The "Magic of Friendship" is like a DISEASE!" Me: Oh, just you wait, by 2020 (which it already is), you will see the only disease around here is the corona virus. Otherwise, thats pretty much it. Anyone else agree? i also want to know what you think about this as well, Applegeek.
(Continued from my first comment.) 11:56 Cosy Glow made a plan, but they immediately abandon each other to try and reach the summit alone. Also, Cosy's outfit is adorable. 12:08-12:19 Chrysalis tries flying against the strong winds. 12:20-12:36 Sinister creatures lurk up behind Chrysalis. But she quickly scares them away. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 12:26 That smug face. 12:36-12:46 Tirek blowing dirt in his own face. 12:46-13:20 Cosy finds a cabin and plays the poor lost filly. However, Rusty Bucket, the owner, says he can't take her up the mountain. 13:20-13:27 That face transition. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 13:28-13:40 Rusty Bucket guards the mountain to make sure no pony heads up because of the danger. 13:33-13:40 That dialogue. 13:41-14:04 Cosy tries to make friends with Rusty Bucket, then immediately tries taking advantage of it. Fortunately, Rusty has a copy of Princess Twilight's Friendship Journal. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 13:46-13:49 Perfect use of that. 14:04-14:11 Imagine if she'd said the 's' word instead of "kidding". Also, if that didn't cause an avalanche, nothing will. Also, Cosy's face. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 14:13-14:15 Cosy Glow admits she "didn't want to be friends anyway." 14:17-14:37 Chrysalis almost slips on some ice, so she turns into a cragodile. And then a mountain goat. 14:37-14:47 Tirek doing...something. Applegeek picks it up. 14:47-15: Cosy tries getting up the mountain by herself, but is thwarted by the elements. 14:58-15:01/15:03-15:05/15:08-15:10/15:2015:27 Cosy's face. 15:08-15:10 Cosy is so streamed she melts the ice. 15:11-15:27 Cosy loses it. 15:20-15:30 I thought the exact same thing, Applegeek. Imagine if she were in this role rather than Cosy Glow? 15:28-15:38 A giant snowball sends Cosy Glow hurtling down the mountain. Also, Rusty Bucket and Applegeek's reactions. 15:38-15:58 Chrysalis almost reaches the peak, but the winds are too strong even for her roc form. 16:02-16:09 Tirek laughs at Cosy's misfortune. As does Applegeek. Also, her face. 16:14-16:19 Applepsychic. 15:59-16:38 Tirek never tried getting up the mountain because he realised Grogar was right. He's been waiting for Cosy and Chrysalis to return to his campsite, so he can hear what they've learned. Applegeek is right, he is smart. 16:37-16:43 Cosy's face. 16:37-17:-7 Tirek and Cosy arguing. 16:52-17:00 Cosy's face. Also, Applegeek is right again. 16:59-17:06 A bull-snake? Also, Tirek claims Cosy is annoying...and she snores. 17:06-17:14 Tirek is a grandma's boy?! XD 17:08 That face. 17:20-17:24 Oh, is that what it's called? 17:20-17:51 The ophiotauros almost attacks Cosy and Tirek. But Chrysalis shows up disguised as a female one. She swoons it before absorbing its love. Cosy Glow almost barfs. 17:51-18:00 Chrysalis admits she needs Cosy and Tirek. 17:57-18:02 Cosy's line and face. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 18:08-18:23 Chrysalis has cocooned the ophiotauros to save some of its love for the next day. Applegeek is repulsed. 18:28-18:36 Chrysalis goes on a verbal tirade against Starlight. What does "sawl" mean? Also, Applegeek's reaction. 18:34-18:49 Tirek recalls how he once used Discord to capture all the ponies. Chrysalis thinks Discord was better before friendship ruined him. Why do I hear something of the fandom in that? 18:49-19:21 Tirek and the others make fun of Twilight's stressed out personality. Applegeek realises they're bonding...and figuring out her weaknesses. 19:12-19:21 Cosy Glow recalls how she almost erased all the magic from Equestria. 19:23-19:28 Cosy's face. 19:36-19:48 Okay, I'll admit, that impression is hilarious XD. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 19:47-20:06 Cosy, Chrysalis and Tirek finally agree to work together. 19:59-20:01 That face. 20:06-21:07 The villains gang up on Rusty Bucket, make their way up the mountain, get over the giant chasm, and reach the summit. 20:14-20:21 Rusty Bucket is buried under the snow. Don't worry, he's fine. 20:28-20:33 Chrysalis becomes an Ursa Minor. 20:33-20:40 Cosy almost slips. But, surprisingly, Chrysalis saves her. 20:35-20:40 Agreed. 20:41-20:54 There's your answer, Applegeek, her minuscule size. 20:55-21:01 Chrysalis becomes a monkey. 21:08-21:25 The bell is guarded by a powerful magic barrier. 21:14-21:25 Tirek can only absorb magic from living beings. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:17-21:26 Chrysalis thinks Cosy and Tirek are betraying her. 21:26-21:51 To get the bell, Chrysalis must entrust her magic to Tirek. 21:31-21:38 Tirek's reaction. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:37-21:40 Good question. Maybe you shouldn't give them that idea, Chrysalis. 21:37-21:43 Applegeek, says it for me. 21:37-21:45 Well, at least she admits it. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:51-22:13 Tirek absorbs Chrysalis' magic and gets big again. He's only strong enough to make a small hole in the barrier, though. Fortunately, Cosy is the right size. 22:13-22:19 Chrysalis says is for me. 22:22-22:34 Cosy makes it out just in time with the bell. 22:34-22:47 After some hesitation, Tirek returns Chrysalis' magic to her. She and Applegeek are impressed. 22:44-22:52 Well at least he admitted it. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 22:49-23:15 I can't believe what I'm hearing. Are they actually seeing the value of friendship? 23:10-23:31 Damn it, you guys were so close! Also, Applegeek's reaction. 23:31-24:00 Cosy, Chrysalis and Tirek realise Grogar is too powerful. They decide to 'pretend' to be friends so they can get on his good side. But they're secretly planning to betray him, so they can go back to destroying each other. Something tells me they'll be destroyed before he is. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 23:49-23:53 Cosy actually says "back-stabbing." Also, her face and Applegeek's reaction. 24:00-24:17 Grogar is outraged that the villains failed to retrieve the bell. So much that he blasts a hole in the wall. 24:03-24:17 You're right about that, Applegeek. 24:18-24:22 That they did Grogar. 24:26-24:44 The villains have brought the bell back and hidden it. How Grogar won't be able to find it I have no idea. Applegeek agrees with me. 24:52-25:15 Fully agree with you there, Applegeek. Overall, this was one of the most entertaining episodes I've ever seen. And also one of the most intimidating. For starters, there's the villains. We've all seen how threatening they can be on their own, but together they're like a disfunctional family. Who knew Chrysalis was a fan of cupcakes? Or that Tirek was a grandma's boy? Or that Cosy Glow is utterly hilarious when she's angry? Plus, there's the song. Better Way to be Bad is hands down one of the best villain songs Daniel Ingrim has ever written - second to, if not better than, Open up Your Eyes. Hearing the three of them sing is unique in itself. But seeing them fight each other, while destroying pony dolls and saying what they'll do to the originals just adds so many layers of fun and fear. Then of course, there's what they go through. How often do we see villains bonding? Sharing past experiences and using their differences to achieve a common goal? Not often. It's pleasing to see them learning about the value of friendship, but it's also worrying because it means they're growing stronger as a threat. How will this culminate in the season finale? Who knows? But it's sure to be something epic.
Could be Grogar knows what the trio is up to. And is playing along with them for whatever reason for now. Who knows how long he could have been watching them attempt to get the bell with that Goat's eye crystal ball of his? Maybe the whole time right up to when they got it from the cave and what followed with after with them.
Well, this is a coincidence: just hours after posting my comments for episode 9, Applegeek gets the copyright lifted from episode 8. Then just as I'm about to post my comments for this episode, it gets blocked again. Weird. Anyway, here are my highlights: 1:27-2:01 Applegeek spoiled on an episode?! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! Okay, it's not that bad. He just knows who's appearing in it. 2:28-2:52 You're right, he does look intimidating in a good way. 2:46-2:52 A cool picture of Mark Acheson (Tirek's voice actor) with Applegeek, who's wearing the latter's hat. 3:04-4:10 For the first time since the season premiere, we check in on the Legion of Doom. 3:10-3:23 Cosy Glow tattles on Tirek for leaving food out again. 3:24-3:33 Tirek denies Cosy's accusations. 3:28-3:32 Well at least he admits it. Also, I think you're right, Applegeek. 3:34-3:40 Chrysalis is growing impatient. 3:40-3:49 FORMER queen, dingbat. Applegeek agrees. 3:43-3:49 Grogar loses patience with all three of them. 3:50-4:10 Chrysalis, Cosy and Tirek protest over working together. Grogar shuts them all up. 4:48-5:05 Cosy Glow makes an "inspirational banner." Also, Applegeek's reaction. 5:05-5:07 A picture of Tirek when he was at full power. 5:05-5:24 Tirek weight-lifting. Also, Cosy sitting on the weights. 5:15-6:18 Cosy glow decides to hold a teamwork meeting. Tirek and Chrysalis are reluctant to attend. 5:22 That smile. 5:23-5:27 Cosy says that Grogar left her in charge. Tirek and Applegeek immediately know she's lying - much like the rest of us. 5:28-5:31 That line. 5:32-5:41 Cosy Glow blackmails Tirek into attending the meeting. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 5:43-5:52 Chrysalis talking to a log. She's becoming more delusional by the minute. 5:49-6:00 Chrysalis lashing out at Cosy Glow. 6:02-6:19 Cosy has the perfect way to get Chrysalis to the meeting. 6:08-6:14 Cosy lies about being left in charge again. Chrysalis also sees through her. 6:14-6:26 Chrysalis likes cupcakes?! Who knew? Also, Applegeek's reaction. 6:24-6:34 Tirek tries absorbing Chrysalis' essence. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 6:34-6:41 Eww. 6:44-6:46 EWWWWWWWW! Although, technically, it is hers. 6:50-6:55 Cosy, you're not fooling any creature. 6:55-9:29 An awesome villain song! Plus, we get to hear Cosy, Chrysalis and Tirek sing for the first time. (Canterlot Wedding doesn't count because Chrysalis was singing as Cadence.) 6:57 That face. 7:00-7:08 Applegeek is excited. 7:05-7:20 Cosy's verse. 7:14-7:16 Chrysalis holding her log like a teddy bear. 7:21-7:28 Tierk's verse. 7:28-7:37 Chrysalis' verse. 7:24-7:26 Cosy's face. 7:57-8:08 Trust exercises. Tirek and Chrysalis are mean too each other. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 8:12 Tirek shaking Cosy. 8:13-8:17 Crossing a tightrope. 8:18 Tirek and Chrysalis doing air quotes. 8:21-8:25 That's intimidating. Especially with her face and that poorly-made Twilight doll. 8:24-8:28 That's funny. 8:28-8:55 Cosy has dolls of all of the Mane 7. It's scary how they tear them to shreds as she sings those lines. 8:33-8:35 Cosy's face. 8:35-8:37 Is it Starlight or the Mane 6 she wants revenge on? It seems like she's can't make up what's left of her mind on that. 8:44-8:48 Cosy's face. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 8:52-9:19 And now it breaks down into a fight. 8:54-9:07 Where'd they get that crown? 9:02-9:05/9:08-9:16 Cosy's face. 9:09-9:13 That brief duet. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 9:13-9:29 Nice finish. 9:14-9:20 Dog pile. 9:27-9:29 Cosy with a rose in her mouth. Ole! 9:29-9:36 Cosy, Chrysalis and Tirek arguing over the song. 9:31-9:35 Hands down, Applegeek. 9:43-9:48 Chrysalis makes a good point. 9:53-10:01 Grogar has located a powerful artefact and wants the villains to retrieve it. 10:02-10:07 That's scary. Especially with his glowing eyes. 10:07-10:28 The villains debating over who should be leader. 10:28-10:48 Grogar losses his patience and pins every creature against the wall. He definitely feels like the most threatening. 10:48-10:53 Applepsychic. 10:55-11:30 The backstory of Gusty the Great and Grogar's bell. At least now we know why it's taken him this long to return. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 11:19 Again with the horse puns. 11:35-11:52 Chrysalis eats her own words. Also, Applegeek's reaction. (Continued in my second comment.)
What a coincidence that I've come back to rewatch this just six weeks before the return of Everfree NW in 2021, and here Applegeek is, showing off his EFNW shirt from 2019.
I have a theory on how powerfull would be Grogar with the bell in his possesion. I bet he would be able to rip the soul out of a body and imprison that soul somewhere while he make that body his minion or something like that. It would be super cool and terrifing! He is maybe a Spirit of Death just like Discord is a Spirit of Chaos. That would explain how is Grogar able to live for millenia!!! o_0 Hasbro please hire me!!!

reminds me of a fan-story where Grogar had several bells that had different effects, fear, despair, etc. that might have been an earlier "generation" version of him.
“FIENDship is Magic” tells us that Chryssy and her hive were “born” that way. Made up of some kind of evil seed that grew up in some kind of sludge full of dead things/pony bones. The all emerged from a tree that grew from the corrupted seed.
Seriously is nobody except for me and the reactor going to talk about the fact that Chrysalis immediately changed her mind and joined the team meeting when she heard there was going to be cupcakes?😂😂😂 Seriously, Chrysalis is one of my favorite MLP villains of all times.😍❤ I feel so bad for her, knowing what is going to happen to her and the other two. I really hoped we would get to see both her and the other two redeem themselves and I would have loved to see Chrysalis transform. But sadly I guess it is just not meant to be. 😭😭😭😢😢😢
Yeah, I noticed when almost all of season 9's videos had vanished save for Yona's episode (they left it alone for some reason). But I assume for the others you have to get to 11-13 and the special, you might do it stretched? But regardless, nice to see these all uploaded in the stretched format.
Looks like Tirek, Cozy and Chrysalis are more power hungry than Grogar. He said he's more powerful than the three of them, but they could use the bell to defeat him. They could also use the bell to give them more power, and that could turn them into horrifying monsters. Grogar said the bell cannot be destroyed and the ponies won't stand a chance against it, so if they get a power up from it, they will be unstoppable. With that kind of power they could conquer all of Equestria. And after his defeat, Grogar will have to work together with the ponies, if they want to find a way to stop them, if they could. The ponies will also need the help of Chancellor Neighsay. He said the school should be for ponies to learn how to protect themselves, so maybe he cuold come up with a plan. Another option if the villains get busted. I'm sure Grogar will get really angry if he finds out about their plan, and as punishment he will send them back to Tartarus. Then Grogar will reign supreme. The villains have experienced friendship, so if they are able to escape from Grogar's rage, they have to give friendship a chance and work with the ponies to stop Grogar, and maybe they will be forgiven. A third option if the villains lust for power will cause them their demise. If they can't control the power they got from the bell, it could destroy them. Then Grogar will get all his power back. I don't know whats going to happen, but I'm sure it's not going to be pretty.
since this episode was about the villains, Here are my top 10 best non reformed MLP villains, I'm going by how I think these villains were well fleshed-out, how big of an impact they had on me, and by how three dimensional when I find them, I'm not including Grogar on the list, but after the series finale and we see what he does, I'll update the list and put him on a spot, also let me know in the comments what y'all think of my list, do you have agree with me or disagree? Also be mature about your comments. #10: The Sirens/Dazzlings (unpopular opinion, the Dazzlings aren't terrible, I just think they're a little overrated, but I think they are pretty dangerous villains) #9: Lightning Dust (basically a dark flexion of Rainbow Dash, all what she cares about is being the best flyer, even to the point of endangering other lives) #8: Gladmane (being a sleazy, manipulative owner of a casino in Las Pegasus, Gladmane manipulated a ton of ponies into turning against their own friends, he even got Flim and Flam to turn against each other, and the Flim Flam Brothers are two of the most manipulative characters in Friendship Is Magic, but Gladmane's only redeeming quality is that he legitimately cares about his casino customers) #7: Wind Rider (this is another antagonist I'm hoping comes back, this guy framed Rainbow Dash for sending Spitfire off to find a cure for her mother's fake sickness in a dangerous part of Equestria, because he was afraid that she would break his wonderbolts record, and if it wasn't for Rarity solving the mystery, he would have succeeded, and I'm thinking that if he comes back, he should team up with Lightning Dust) #6: Flim & Flam (these two antagonists are pretty enjoyable to watch, they're also the most recurring antagonists in the show, appearing in 5 episodes, these guys are fun to watch as they are scum) #5: Cozy Glow (for being very unexpecting, manipulated the Mane 6, the princesses, the students, The cmc's, Starlight Glimmer, Spike, and Chancellor Neighsay, and attempted to use friendship for world domination) 4: Dr. Caballeron (by my opinion, Dr. Caballeron is the most underrated character in the show, only piece of back store that we get of his was that he wanted to be Daring Do's partner, but she arrogantly refuse, and there's supposed to be more to his backstory than just that, he's also a pretty violent character, in his last appearance, he attempted to drive Daring Do into soul-crushing despair by ruining her reputation for some minor damage that she did some towns trying to stop him, and attempting to murder Rainbow Dash, her closest friend, to get even with her, now that's just pretty dark) #3: The Storm King (unpopular opinion of mine, when I first saw the Storm King in MLP movie trailers, I was really excited to see him in the movie, but when I saw the movie in the theaters opening day, and we only got 7 minutes of screen time of for the Storm King, I was a little disappointed with the character for having more comedic scenes than more serious scenes, but over time, he's grown on to me, but I still see some potential in him, if he returns for the final season, which I personally hope he does, and it was said that he's supposed to be the evilest villain in the MLP FIM universe, and he actually did develop a fan base over a year after the movie's release, with some people putting him right next to The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series, Hades from Disney's Hercules, and Aku from Samurai Jack, and if Tempest Shadow didn't reform, she and Storm King would have both been tied at number three) #2: Queen Chrysalis (for nearly succeeding at taking over canterlot, if it wasn't for Twilight actually knowing that she wasn't the real Cadence, she would have succeeded, and she nearly took over Equestria by kidnapping all the major protectors of Equestria, she would have succeeded also if it wasn't for Starlight and Thorax) before I get to the number one spot, here are some of the honorable mentions: #11: The Mane-iac #12: Nightmare Moon (quick disclaimer, I see Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna as two completely different ponies, it's like that Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker thing, they're two different people in one body) #13: King Sombra #14: Ahuizotl #15: Principal Abncus Cinch #16: Svengallop #17: Vurco (the rodent ringmaster/crime boss from Klurgtown that Capper owed a depth to) #1: Lord Tirek (for being the most violent, most dangerous, most intelligent, and the biggest threat Equestria has ever faced, Lord Tirek absorbed all the Magic in Equestria, manipulated Discord into helping him, and trying to take over Equestria and enslave the ponies, has a different kind of perspective of what friendship is, and out of all the villains in Equestria oh, he's the one that came the very closest to succeeding at taking over the entire kingdom of Equestria, that's why I give him the top spot)
29:05 the mindset of many serial murderers arrested by FBI in 60s and 70s. They usually went through child abuse or other sort of miseries that seriously damaged their mentality, which eradicated their ability to empathize. or simply a super genius, like Eurus Holmes and James Moriarty in Sherlock.
it would be so cool if in the new mlp show, we see in the series finale a teaser for the next season where we see chrysalis, tirek, and cozy glow being unfrozen/freed from the stone accidentally by a unicorn or something big happening that makes them free from stone. It'd be interesting seeing their character arc adjusting to modern society and plotting their revenge against equestria, and maybe even see twilight come save the day last second
I want to run a theory about Cozy Glow by you true it’s already disproved but I want you to think about it so in season 8 when we first see Cozy Glow she’s suposly crying about the school of friendship but she’s squinting a little we see her eyes are blue then if you see a brief blast of of orange magic I’ll get to that in a bit then her eyes are red In the next episode we see her as a main character (what lies beneath) her eyes are for a brief second while she is staring at the catacombs at the end of the episode her eyes are blue then red again now I want to think about Chancorlor Neighsay. Neighsay wanted nothing more than to get rid of the school of friendship and his magic IS ORANGE. Just like the orange magic we see. Now hear my point in school raze we see her achally Deliberately trying to change the school but Neighsay is terrified before this happens if thought that Coxy was hypnotized by Neighsay Let me know what you think
Also here is Grogar’s reactions to each of the villains defeats Nightmare moon no Discord seriously Chrysalis please Sombra you have magic use it Teirek you just got defeated by SIX ponies Starlight you’re planing something Starlight again YOU TURNED GOOD Chrysalis again YOU JUST GAH Pony of shadows THIS ISNT WORKING Cozy glow YOU WERE SO CLOSE Sombra again COME ON
Ngl, Tirek's kinda like Gaston😅 and i think everyone would have used others ideas for atvantage like he did in this episode, which is a smart villain thing, i would have too xD
Now I'm wondering why didn't discord just made a copy of himself, the clone would be grogar, and the original discord as discord. Maybe discord just planned the s9 finale
I was just wanting to watch your reaction to Sweet and Smoky again, but I don't see it. It must've been taken down or deleted. I don't know why though. I mean, the stretched video format was supposed to avoid the whole copyright thing, right?
24:44 I think that was a temporary hiding place. If Grogar was a bit more inquisitive he might have found the Bell. Using a bit of D&D terminology but Grogar rolled a low “perception” check, or “knowledge arcana” check to see if there were any magical items within the immediate vicinity. I’ve watched enough “Brony D&D” episodes to get the gist of what it’s like playing in an actual campaign/story. Wish I could actually be part of a campaign but alas that is not in the cards for me simply because of my work schedule, etc. Still watching videos on YT from Dr Wolf channel and Dragon Finder Gaming (a specific Role Playing channel made by Josh Scorcher aka Firebrand). These are just a few channels on YT that immediately come to mind, but there’s plenty of other YT channels that do this as well. Enjoying your reaction to this episode as well as the rest of your videos you have uploaded. Keep up the good work my friend 👏👍😁👍❤️🎥🍿🍍🥥🍻🇺🇸✨☀️🌙✨🍵🍰✅. Ps- curious if you’re planning on reacting to either the G5 movie that came out this year or the G5 series which starts next year? If you can’t that’s fine just wanted to know since the last major thing you reacted to was the EQG Holiday special.
7:05 I think I know a way that we grow time to try something new something better. No more solo trust is the way to go and all we need to do is work togetherrr. (Reply Sing along!)
I think that Cozy Glow is actually an adult in a kid's body, just like Baby Doll, character of Batman the Animated Serie that I heard she's inspired by
I apologize for the new stretched video format, but it's the only way to get around the copyright block issues once and for all.
No harm done about the format at all. But rest assured, your reactions always put a smile on my face.
Going through backlogged content
Why does that make such a difference?
No need to apologize, Applegeek. In all honesty, it doesn't really look as bad as I thought it would be. I'm glad that you've figured out a way to get these videos back up.
No problem! :)
I just adore how Cozy gets screwed over by Twilight from like halfway across Equestria. XD
Yeah why.. She a Kid or teenager put her in the Dungeon or Jail!
Jesu Friendship of Magic
At first I wondered what you meant by that, but after watching the episode again, it hit me that you're referring to Rusty Bucket having a copy of their Friendship Journal.

@@nicholasnguyen5181 she might be adorable, but she will break your legs when you’re not watching and she would low-key get away with it too
Ok but Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow are like a dysfunctional nuclear family at this point and I’m in love with it even though I never saw it coming
Agreed. I kinda wish they had their own spin off.
Family?! No! Time bomb? Without a doubt! Duh!
"NUCLEAR?! Sure they make stuff blow up sometimes, but that's because they're magic, not radioactive!"
@@sweetdreams1028well, the end of the MLP comics ended with Chrisyliss (and most likely the others) breaking free from statue form so MAYBE.

@@theponyofglory8545 also what makes u say that?
Discord is the most powerful creature.
That would be amazing.
Discord is the goat
@@dzhemvrotIs that a pun? XD

23:33 Have they forgetten that Grogar have a palantir with which he can see everything, including events of the past? I think this is a mission he would follow closely.
He would of if he wasn’t discord was actually smart😂
If Chrysalis didn't throw a fit, these three may have actually seriously reformed on their own.
Hi
@@cozyglow100you should have succeeded, Cozy😈👑, best villain 😈🔝🎉
if they ship chrysalis and tirek i swear to god
WAIT THEN THEY COULD ADOPT COZY
DUDE
I would see more cozy adopting those two
Yes
Lol more like grogar is the father and chrysalis and tirek are the big sisters and big brothers and cozy glow is little sister
🤣🤣🤣
I think there more like siblings than lovers
I wished that Cozy would have said "brother" 17:07 and wished that Tirek would have said Scorpan 17:10 because that would make sense.
Oh, yeah! Man, that would have stung.
That would have speak so much to his character, it sounds like a missed opportunity.
No way. That would imply Cozy has a brother too and everyone would whine about knowing nothing about him. With this though, it is hilarious to see that someone as evil as Tirek not only has a grandmother but seems to genuinely love her and refer to her as his gram-gram.
That would be interesting if Cozy was Tirek's sister.
One feeds off the emotions of the Ponies
One feeds off the feelings of the ponies
One feeds off the power of the ponies
Hmmmm
You said that Tirek was the smartest for realizing Grogar was right and waited, yet Cozy Glow knew that before they even started and tried to tell them that when they walked away. Not saying Cozy’s the best villain, but the logic there is skewed. Each of them, Sombra and Discord included, have come close to winning and in some cases did win, just defeated again shortly after.
Which therefore proves that cozy glow is the smartest of the 3
Correct, but somehow she's the youngest of 3 😂😅
True but cozy glow is the most manipulative, narcisit who have some characteristics of psychopath if we compare her with others
Rusty Bucket having a Friendship Journal was like Twilight flipping off Cozy Glow from across Equestria.
Possible instances of foreshadowing:
Grogar said "I don't care how," regarding them learning to work together, and he also outright said "I don't trust anything any of you say," at the beginning of the episode.
Yes. My theory is that Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy will eventually go with The Mane Six and against Grogar.
I'm here from the future, and I have some bad news.
@@SuperSaiyanD48 lol i know grogar was discord the real grogar is still banished
Yes he mentioned that.
The #1 thing I love about this episode is the "ARE U KIDDING ME?!?!?!"
“Let’s crush our enemies to death and laugh as they all scREEEEEEM!” I love it
Hi
@@cozyglow100 you guys should have won, Cozy! Would've been fun😈🥺😄
Chrysalis: "The "Magic of Friendship" is like a DISEASE!"
Me: Oh, just you wait, by 2020 (which it already is), you will see the only disease around here is the corona virus. Otherwise, thats pretty much it. Anyone else agree? i also want to know what you think about this as well, Applegeek.

George Harvey I think Chrysalis said “Sow”, not “Sawl”. Basically, I think she was calling Starlight the Equestrian equivalent of “b**ch”.
@@camrynbrewer2370 I wasn't sure how to spell it. Thanks for answering.

Cozy's evil cackling is sounds like Anjelica from Nickelodeon's Rugrats.
Weird. Anyway, here are my highlights:
1:27-2:01 Applegeek spoiled on an episode?!
(Canterlot Wedding doesn't count because Chrysalis was singing as Cadence.)
6:57 That face.
Grogar is Shaggy confirmed, using only a fraction of his power.....
14:19 And that's how machine guns gets its sound or is it trains slipping on icy rails
21:56 she looks so cute laying pathetically in the snow
Decided to rewatch this, and it was hilarious. I’m so glad to have discovered this channel
What a coincidence that I've come back to rewatch this just six weeks before the return of Everfree NW in 2021, and here Applegeek is, showing off his EFNW shirt from 2019.
I have a feeling that the va's had a lot of fun when they worked on the episode. They certainly did a good job.
That would explain how is Grogar able to live for millenia!!! o_0
Hasbro please hire me!!!
reminds me of a fan-story where Grogar had several bells that had different effects, fear, despair, etc. that might have been an earlier "generation" version of him.
“FIENDship is Magic” tells us that Chryssy and her hive were “born” that way. Made up of some kind of evil seed that grew up in some kind of sludge full of dead things/pony bones. The all emerged from a tree that grew from the corrupted seed.
Yeah, but the comics aren't canon so it's unlikely her actual origin.
In my opinion, Cozy Glow is second best. She could've absorbed all the magic in Equestria, she was doing really good.
She wasn't absorbing it, she was draining it into anouther dimension. She wouldn't have been any stronger if she'd won.
@@timemonkey True, true.
15:35 that was funny he was like "meh I warned her but nooopony listens"
Those stuffed toys of Twilight & her friends are very unique
6:24 since when Chrysalis loved cupcakes?!
Flufflepuff confirmed
Who doesnt?
His laughter is infectious
Grogar CAN see everything through his crystal eye-ball-thing so.....
I really don’t want these three to reform. Please writers, don’t let me down!
Well, you got your wish. They now know what Discord felt like being a statue.
@@giantbrayford7754 Yep. Ngl, though, it was kinda disturbing.
Yes! I'd forgotten about this one. I can't wait to see your 13 reaction
16:06
(Tirek laughing)
Cozy: IT'S NOT FUNNY, TIREK!!!
Well, I say 'Oh, boo-hoo-hoo for you, you spoiled brat!'.
The scene where Chrysalis imitates Twilight is so hilarious 😈😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This song is probably in my top 3 of this season
8:44 His face
Everyone we must work together to make applegeek upload more reactions, (just kidding) (lol).
Oh please, no way, I feel a need to say
His uploads allready strain him to thin
Reed Shinn lol
Too thin? Okay. I guess we'll down play, how much time we spend waiting for him
since this episode was about the villains, Here are my top 10 best non reformed MLP villains, I'm going by how I think these villains were well fleshed-out, how big of an impact they had on me, and by how three dimensional when I find them, I'm not including Grogar on the list, but after the series finale and we see what he does, I'll update the list and put him on a spot, also let me know in the comments what y'all think of my list, do you have agree with me or disagree? Also be mature about your comments.
#10: The Sirens/Dazzlings (unpopular opinion, the Dazzlings aren't terrible, I just think they're a little overrated, but I think they are pretty dangerous villains)
#9: Lightning Dust (basically a dark flexion of Rainbow Dash, all what she cares about is being the best flyer, even to the point of endangering other lives)
#8: Gladmane (being a sleazy, manipulative owner of a casino in Las Pegasus, Gladmane manipulated a ton of ponies into turning against their own friends, he even got Flim and Flam to turn against each other, and the Flim Flam Brothers are two of the most manipulative characters in Friendship Is Magic, but Gladmane's only redeeming quality is that he legitimately cares about his casino customers)
#7: Wind Rider (this is another antagonist I'm hoping comes back, this guy framed Rainbow Dash for sending Spitfire off to find a cure for her mother's fake sickness in a dangerous part of Equestria, because he was afraid that she would break his wonderbolts record, and if it wasn't for Rarity solving the mystery, he would have succeeded, and I'm thinking that if he comes back, he should team up with Lightning Dust)
#6: Flim & Flam (these two antagonists are pretty enjoyable to watch, they're also the most recurring antagonists in the show, appearing in 5 episodes, these guys are fun to watch as they are scum)
#5: Cozy Glow (for being very unexpecting, manipulated the Mane 6, the princesses, the students, The cmc's, Starlight Glimmer, Spike, and Chancellor Neighsay, and attempted to use friendship for world domination)
4: Dr. Caballeron (by my opinion, Dr. Caballeron is the most underrated character in the show, only piece of back store that we get of his was that he wanted to be Daring Do's partner, but she arrogantly refuse, and there's supposed to be more to his backstory than just that, he's also a pretty violent character, in his last appearance, he attempted to drive Daring Do into soul-crushing despair by ruining her reputation for some minor damage that she did some towns trying to stop him, and attempting to murder Rainbow Dash, her closest friend, to get even with her, now that's just pretty dark)
#3: The Storm King (unpopular opinion of mine, when I first saw the Storm King in MLP movie trailers, I was really excited to see him in the movie, but when I saw the movie in the theaters opening day, and we only got 7 minutes of screen time of for the Storm King, I was a little disappointed with the character for having more comedic scenes than more serious scenes, but over time, he's grown on to me, but I still see some potential in him, if he returns for the final season, which I personally hope he does, and it was said that he's supposed to be the evilest villain in the MLP FIM universe, and he actually did develop a fan base over a year after the movie's release, with some people putting him right next to The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series, Hades from Disney's Hercules, and Aku from Samurai Jack, and if Tempest Shadow didn't reform, she and Storm King would have both been tied at number three)
#2: Queen Chrysalis (for nearly succeeding at taking over canterlot, if it wasn't for Twilight actually knowing that she wasn't the real Cadence, she would have succeeded, and she nearly took over Equestria by kidnapping all the major protectors of Equestria, she would have succeeded also if it wasn't for Starlight and Thorax)
before I get to the number one spot, here are some of the honorable mentions:
#11: The Mane-iac
#12: Nightmare Moon (quick disclaimer, I see Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna as two completely different ponies, it's like that Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker thing, they're two different people in one body)
#13: King Sombra
#14: Ahuizotl
#15: Principal Abncus Cinch
#16: Svengallop
#17: Vurco (the rodent ringmaster/crime boss from Klurgtown that Capper owed a depth to)
#1: Lord Tirek (for being the most violent, most dangerous, most intelligent, and the biggest threat Equestria has ever faced, Lord Tirek absorbed all the Magic in Equestria, manipulated Discord into helping him, and trying to take over Equestria and enslave the ponies, has a different kind of perspective of what friendship is, and out of all the villains in Equestria oh, he's the one that came the very closest to succeeding at taking over the entire kingdom of Equestria, that's why I give him the top spot)
Tirek is my most favorite villain too.
I personally like Cozy Glow as a villain but totally agree with the points you made.

2:46 to 2:52 Applegeek and (Tirek) Mark Acheson. He looks nice? and Tirek in the background. They kinda have the same smile?
it would be so cool if in the new mlp show, we see in the series finale a teaser for the next season where we see chrysalis, tirek, and cozy glow being unfrozen/freed from the stone accidentally by a unicorn or something big happening that makes them free from stone. It'd be interesting seeing their character arc adjusting to modern society and plotting their revenge against equestria, and maybe even see twilight come save the day last second
Hi
Honestly, how come the Mane Six never came across Grogar's path?
Grogar has purposely stayed under the radar since his release agter being sealed in G1, long before even Starswirl was born.
Great reaction video. I laughed so hard watching this episode. I just wished they had brought King Sombra back to add to this dynamic villain antic.

Hi
I want to run a theory about Cozy Glow by you true it’s already disproved but I want you to think about it so in season 8 when we first see Cozy Glow she’s suposly crying about the school of friendship but she’s squinting a little we see her eyes are blue then if you see a brief blast of of orange magic I’ll get to that in a bit then her eyes are red
In the next episode we see her as a main character (what lies beneath) her eyes are for a brief second while she is staring at the catacombs at the end of the episode her eyes are blue then red again now I want to think about Chancorlor Neighsay. Neighsay wanted nothing more than to get rid of the school of friendship and his magic IS ORANGE. Just like the orange magic we see. Now hear my point in school raze we see her achally Deliberately trying to change the school but Neighsay is terrified before this happens if thought that Coxy was hypnotized by Neighsay
Let me know what you think
Also here is Grogar’s reactions to each of the villains defeats
Nightmare moon no
Discord seriously
Chrysalis please
Sombra you have magic use it
Teirek you just got defeated by SIX ponies
Starlight you’re planing something
Starlight again YOU TURNED GOOD
Chrysalis again YOU JUST GAH
Pony of shadows THIS ISNT WORKING
Cozy glow YOU WERE SO CLOSE
Sombra again COME ON
I’ll admit, the song was pretty good.
This was no question my favorite episode of season nine.
Hi
Ngl, Tirek's kinda like Gaston😅 and i think everyone would have used others ideas for atvantage like he did in this episode, which is a smart villain thing, i would have too xD
Skip to 3:02 trust me
I never understand why Grogar didn't go to retrieve the bell himself after this episode. Then he would've found out they got it.
Tirek still talks to his grandmother in his sleep?
Great reaction!
Sincerely Littlepip from Stable 2
Now I'm wondering why didn't discord just made a copy of himself, the clone would be grogar, and the original discord as discord. Maybe discord just planned the s9 finale
That's what I thought was gonna happen!
Im happy all these reactions are back up.

THE VILLAIN’S SONG!
Hi
I wanted them to win 😅
I really love this episode it's one of my favorites and I love the song a better way to be bad.
Hi
Both: NO HE DID NOT
cozy: OK BUT AT LEES I DO NOT LOOK LIKE YOU
Hiding that bell there is like hiding it in the fridge...or his bed
Has anyone noticed the swirls on the rocks. What if they smashed those rocks would the shield break?
Chrysalis is the most malicious. Tirek is the smartest and most powerful. And Cozy is the most dangerous because she is underrated and overlooked.
Ah, an AppleGeek video that I haven't seen, amazing!!
THEY SHOULD HAVE WON😈🥺😄
20:40 leg holes lol
I hope gusty the great actually makes an appearance in season nine.
Also everytime cozy glow says "golly gee" i cringe.
Why all of a sudden have most of the season 9 episodes been blocked?
I've noticed too
@XxSelena ShadowsxX, I noticed because I was watching the playlist then all of a sudden they were blocked by Hasbro
If anyone wants to know more about Grogar’s bell and how gusty defeated him watch Escape from Tambalon
They were already bad enough on their own but when they team up and work together they're now even worse
I hoped they win though😅
yay it is back
I was just wanting to watch your reaction to Sweet and Smoky again, but I don't see it. It must've been taken down or deleted.
I don't know why though. I mean, the stretched video format was supposed to avoid the whole copyright thing, right?
The Bell sounds a lot like a horcrux
