To those saying Fluttershy is abit out of character when interacting with the jerk dragons, it has been shown that her shyness only seems to be extreme when she is around mostly ponies
Gotta love hat continous double standard the fandom can have, they get on Fluttershy's case for taking so long to deal with her shyness, then when they see the actual development she's suddenly "out of charachter" but she was'nt. At all it fits perfectly with how she's been since season six and we know she's always had a love for baby dragons too.
Not to mention Fluttershy’s dracophobia (fear of dragons) had had a while to be overcome by now, especially with first Dragon Lord Ember becoming an official ally of Equestria and then eventually the School of Friendship which also accepted dragons. Naturally Fluttershy is used to dragons at this point, and the jerk dragons aren’t much of a problem at this point. That and protective big sis Fluttershy kicked in
3 things I wasn't expecting when I first saw this episode: 1. Fluttershy going momma bear mode, 2. Garval being a beat poet, 3. Garval calling spike Spicky-wicky XD
This episode really was adorble, but it took seeing it with one of my guy friends (which i admittedly don't have a lot of) to fully appreciate it. On my own, i felt like it was a very rushed and weak reformation for Garble, but with my friend i noted how he related to Garbel's struggle and realized that maybe im too disconnected from the expectations society puts on men and especially boys turning into men, to fully understand just how much it can mean to have a character and message like this. And your reaction and commentary only solidified that opinion for me. Overall, pretty great episode, even if it took me more than one viewing to come around to it.
I really enjoy this episode too and I can accept Garble's redemption, but yeah this episode is another case that's bogged down by the show not being a serialized one because there's just only so much you can do in 22 minutes and the fact that this is the last season probably put them under alot of pressure too like you either address Garble's crap here or not at all. Garble does kinda make up with Spike at the end, buuut I think Spike was owed a verbal apology too so yeah it was just a bit rushed. Not enough to kill his redemption though or how much I love the episode though. I can just headcannon that he got that apology before they left the dragon lands.

And indeed in G5 we see an example of this creative brilliance encouraged in Dragon culture. No longer do they live in a barren volcanic wasteland with nothing but rocks and lava, but the structures they built at the Isle of Scaly suggest actual, well, culture and history! Despite what little we've seen of it or the dragons themselves so far. Spike has done well since taking over! 🤠

If a dragon actually tried to dive into lava even if they could withstand the heat they would still no doubt break all their bones, it is molten rock after all. It has the constancy of corn starch mixed with water it's very hard despite technically being a liquid.
Spike's journey of overcoming his insecurities about his identity as a dragon is similar to young men having to deal with peer pressure and toxic masculinity. It's not wrong to have strength, but healthy masculinity is about using strength to protect, support, and persevere even when it's difficult. Spike used his strength and courage to protect and support his friends when even when he knows it's dangerous or difficult. Garble, as well as many other dragons, felt the need to constantly prove themselves and put others down. When Garble overcame his fears of being seen as weak, he saved a new generation of dragons. That takes courage.
