Great vid as always John, thanks for the voting reminder...just realised ive no idea where I wrote down those cars I voted for😂, left in one of my "safe" places! Oh well, will just have to watch that video again😅😅. Hope your backs getting better now, all the best to you both😊👍
I've never seen an XK8 like mine. It's Sport trim with everything in charcoal or grey, including the wood, which I think is made black by burning it, and the all-leather black steering wheel. The seats are charcoal leather with grey cloth inserts and the convertible roof is also black. Apart from the exterior paint colour, which is Antigua Blue, the entire car is basically monochrome! Interesting one John, thanks for that. My '97 coupe is a sport and comes with almost identical features to yours including the lovely Lear seats with leather inserts. I now know that this makes the vehicle a touch rarer! Hope all good with you, been enjoying the XK8 in the Aus winter here - only recent problems were a passenger door module failure (lost door close warning, window motor, mirror etc.) easily rectified courtesy of AutoReserve. Take care Dave
My run-out XK-S has many of the SPORT elements you mentioned, but also some others that I assume were "specials" to attract buyers for the last of the line cars. Nice to see some photos of PJ. Do you know what became of her? Got my calendar votes in early this year.
She was purchased by new owners who were kind enough to contact me and let me know that they were aware of here previous life on TH-cam and that she would be well loved.
Thanks for the interesting info John. Mine is a "sports" version, same config as yours, but with white dials ? Also, I have exhaust trims which are apparently not standard, maybe after market ? Cheers, time for a cold one ?
Mine is a runout XK8-S, which seems to have a great deal of the "Sport" elements as standard. It has an XK8-S badge on the rear and white surrounds with chequered flags on the bonnet growler badge, and with copper black paint. Does this ring any bells?
Chrome bezels are nice, pity you have one missing, Hint Hint. I thought you said it was hot where you are, we have had weeks in the 115 range, stop being a female cat ( I couldn't use the correct word y tube algorithm doesn't like it)
Hi Mate. I have thought about the the reset controls ring a few times, but I'm concerned that It would draw my eye to the fact it's positioned non-symetrically. In my defence I would like to deploy the phrases. 'Its so damn Humid'. and 'Im used to a sea breeze'
What a interesting video John. Thank you 👍👍
Excellent review John! I indeed must have the classic XK8 2002. Thank you again!
Any time!

Small insights that I haven't seen before. Thanks for your info, John. Greetings. Udo. The islander. 😅

Ive never seen an X100 with white faced dials. I assume its an aftermarket mod, but couldnt be sure.
You're missing the chrome ring on the trip computer.
I have this chrome edge on my built-in Carpuride. You'll see it when John shows the photos. Ha ha.....it looks so good. Regards Udo
I have an xk8 4.2s on 55 plate is that different to classic or sport trim ?
