I don't think anything will beat early to mid 00's Late Night in the history of talk shows. Just too much talent at one place at the peak of their game.
I went to late night with my best friend whose wife had just left him. We scored tickets to his old NBC late night show and Conan came out and talked and joked with the audience and was nice to my bro. He made fun of him and made us all laugh and just took him out of the funk he was in. That made his week and we laughed for the two weeks I was there to support him. 20+ years later I still thank you for your kindness to strangers and making us laugh then and for most of our adult life. You are a late night giant and while I listen to your podcast, I will miss watching you as well. TCGB

The way he's looked up to the great talk show hosts of the past is how he will also be looked up to in the future by the next generation of hosts. I hope he realizes the sheer joy he's managed to bring countless people over the decades, including myself. I literally started tuning into Conan as a child, I'm now a proper adult. Some of my favourites were Norm mcdonalds interviews and his interactions with his staff. Even through the hardships of the "late show wars" he conducted himself with pure class. I think it's great that Conan is moving to HBO he could do so much more. I believe TBS and HBO both have the same parent company so it's more of an upgrade.

I’ve been to 10 tapings of Conan and every episode was better than the last ! There will never be another late night host like Conan. Just naturally fun, not forced or scripted humor. Just naturally comes out.
I don't think many realize what Will Ferrel has done. He's so funny but also has the biggest heart. When Conan went through that horrid time at NBC he grew out that beard and started becoming very depressed. Will came on one night and as a gesture of "Life hit you but you need to get back up" type of friend he shaved that beard off of Conan and it seemed like after that he started to believe in his self again. I love Conan to death. I also love Will. These were 2 influences that helped us through some dark times. Thank you Will for everything you have done to help your friend and millions of others. So much respect I don't have the words other than this show Will be missed. Ps.. Hope that Batman film goes well!

it absolutely was. he's got enough money to never have to work another day in his life - why toil away in an antiquated format where your comedy is limited night after night? still not much known about what he's doing next but purely by changing the format of his older show you could tell he had pretty much had it with the traditional late night format
I remember watching the first Conan show in 1993 on medical leave from college. Loved it from the very start. Damn does nearly three decades pass quickly. Got rid of my tv 15 years ago, so only started watching Conan on these great little youtube clips, but I'm going to miss his show anyways.
It probably didn't help that one of his appearance got cancelled when he later had to explain himself on the view. He could've done the same on Conan. That might have hurt quite a bit.

Tear to my eye watching these videos of Conan's last show. Thank god we still have the podcast, and whatever ol' Cones-y O'B-rien and Team Coco bring to HBO Max. Can't wait, and thanks for all the laughs.
