Nice but dated. In more modern films you see the steam locos being turned at the summit so that the firebox is always downhill (chimney uphill).

If I'm not wrong it depends on which locomotive. Some can drive in either way, some have to have the chimney uphill.
I've just been on a ride this June, and our loco wasn't turned on the summit
