    Instead of a page anchor, I use a music book clip to keep my inserts open. They’re actually designed to work with thinner volumes (i.e. music scores), so the fit isn’t as loose. Secondly, they’re designed to have the business end fit just in the top inch or so of the page (usually the area of a score where the title is, so the actual music isn’t obscured). When not in use, it fits nicely in the pocket of a Kraft folder, or in the flapped pocket of your cloth insert.

    Great video as always! I've seen the page anchor ads on Instagram before, but never thought about using them in a TN!

    Thanks be to the algorithm that this popped up on my suggested feed this morning. What a wonderful, calming and aesthetic video to enjoy breakfast with. I have used a TN previously, but stopped for a while in favour of other styles. I'm back in my TN now, as other styles just didn't work out as well as the TN. I've absolutely fallen down the rabbit hole of researching absolutely every little add-on, hack or alteration I could use to adapt my system!

      @StationeryAt4  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome Addison! Those are very kind words and I appreciate the feedback. Can I ask what other styles you tried? Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

      @@StationeryAt4 yeah, I’ve tried bullet journalling the Ryder Carrol way, then bullet journalling in a modified style adapted from all kinds of resources, then bullet journalling in a page-a-day dated diary. The best thing about my TN is that it puts multiple inserts all in one place, as I keep different books for different things.

    Have a wonderful trip. Do you carry a traveling inkwell? There has to be something special, for your fountain pens. 😊

      Hi Charlie, funny you mention that... I really need to look into inkwells for my next trip! :)

      @@StationeryAt4 I'd use a metal-bodied piston filler like th Moonman T5, fill it up with a water-proof (or at least water-resistant) ink, e.g. Pilot blue-black, Platinum Carbon Black or similar and bring maybe another metal pen with a more vibrant color to add a pop of color, like your Pilot Metro. Majohn makes empty cartridges with plugs and a pipette in a handy hardshell case that fit their A1, A2, and A3 which are 100% compatible with the Pilot VP. I like magnetic bookmarks. They're light, flat, come in different sizes, and some are even designed to do double duty as rulers. Although the pencil board is quite handy too imo.
      The Page Anchor looks beautiful, but I'd be worried about damaging the pages of my book tearing the top as I'm poking it in. And I'm not a fan of the marks it left on the page in your review. As for the brass clip, there's one other official version I'm aware of (Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo).

    Thanks for explaining the brass clip. I would recommend the bread ruler next. It will be the last ruler you will ever buy. Solid like the company

      Hi there and thank you for stopping by! Apologies for the late reply. Just got back from travelling. The clip is the Superior Labor 2 pen holder and it is a beast! I did an overview of it in this video here th-cam.com/video/YH9qZzmebB0/w-d-xo.html. Let me know if you have any further questions about it.

    You are brave sir to keep your nice pens clipped to your journal. Personally, I generally keep my pens in my pocket. I am always afraid of the pens dislodging, and flinging out and smashing on the ground.

    I cringe sometimes when I hear the prices of some of the accessories. Thankfully the paper isn't insane, but 55 dollars for a leather cover just leaves me the wrong way.
    To save the dollars, and be the 'cool kid', I went ahead and bought some leather and elastic cord, and got the dimensions online, made a canvas in CSP matching that, made an outline printed it out with some other measuring doodads and just carved and tied my own Traveler's notebook for almost 1/5th the price With a few things to clean the edges and what not. Needless to say, as long as you get a good quality leather. It'll match up to the Midori just fine.

    • @StationeryAt4
      @StationeryAt4  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Thomas, Thanks for stopping by and for sharing. I hear you on the pricing. I drank the kool aid a long time ago with the Midori. I may make it one of my projects to make my own cover some day. For now I suppose I'm paying for convenience and brand name ;) lol. How is yours working out for you so far? Warm wishes and have a great day!

      @@StationeryAt4 Leather matters and spending 12 dollars on a sheet and 2 bucks on a huge spool of elastic, I made mine better than Midori's honestly.
      You can technically make your own Notebook out of anything, but of course, leather is the go to. But I slotted in more holes to have three pieces of elastic instead of just one. I then finished the leather with my own dark olive dye. Absolutely beautiful and is now serving as a mixture of a sketch/watercolor book, journal, and draft book (for mechanical drawings) AND as a wallet. I can swap and switch notebooks as needed, while keeping some dosh and my cards and ID on me. Love it, and I'm planning on either making some for my artist inclined friends, or just making a few to sell for like... 20 dollars a piece

      Hi Richard, thanks for your feedback - I appreciate it. My own personal taste are videos with something playing in the background however I must admit I'm still learning the ropes on audio mixing and I agree with you both on the song choice and the fact that it is louder than I would have liked on this one. Still learning! Have a lovely day and take care
