    Wife and I went last month..it is an amazing city, cobble stone streets, ocean views, so many lil places to eat outside on the patio.
    We had a wonderful time. We loved going for walks enjoying the architecture and of course the Basilica of Saint Nicholas.

    Enjoying your Bari video thank you. I’m keen to know the different times of the year you may have visited Bari please. I am planning a trip of Puglia but want to go out of season so I’m interested to know if Bari is a seasonal city in that things close down in the off season, or if things are open all year round please?       @@margsangster8994 Thanks for watching. We’ve visited Bari twice. Once in mid/late March and once in mid/late May. During both visits everything in Bari and in the region of Puglia seemed to be in full operation. We’ve visited some places in Italy that don’t seem to fully open until Easter, but the year we visited in March Easter wasn’t until the 9th of April and everything was open. Unfortunately, we can’t say what things are like in the middle of winter. We’re confident that you’ll enjoy Puglia. Thanks for asking your question.

    Bari is beautiful and has some lovely trattoria within. I enjoyed my visit there and I look forward to going back again to spend more days there.

      It really is! We love exploring the Puglia region and like to stay in Bari as our base. We hope to return in the Spring to stay for a month.

      The only thing that saved me is that I walked around eight miles a day. My clothes are still getting smaller though, I need to check my laundry settings. 😂Thanks for watching!

      Buon giorno Traveling Expats:) I’m a carnivore! How can I survive there with a majority of restaurants offering food with mostly carbs:( I plan on traveling to Italy in a few months 😊

      @@vanessadacquisto1311 Most restaurants will make an effort to accommodate your dietary requirements and there are a lot of meat and seafood options at most places. There is a place called Ristorante Carnivore that is supposed to be good, but we haven’t tried it. I think the biggest problem will be the small cafes and focaccia places that are soooo good, but definitely full of carbs. Enjoy your time, Bari is wonderful.     Is there enough to do and see in Bari for 6 nights or would 4 nights suffice?

      @@purpletoo12 4 nights for Bari alone are plenty. However, there are many possible day trip opportunities that are easily reachable from Bari, either by train or car, that you could stay for 6 nights and not get bored.

      We stayed at several different apartments in Bari using booking.com and our favorite one was in old town but it has recently closed. Our second choice apartment is called Appartamentino Vittorio Emanuele. We were traveling with our daughter so we needed a two bedroom apartment not too far from the train station and old town. It had everything we needed. We hope you will have a great time in Bari. We can't wait to return!

    Many vloggers don't know but restaurants outside are illegal, they put their desk regardless the actions of the municipality. Please don't support fastfood "restaurants" and sellers outside, especially if you see people try to live above them.

      It’s definitely not a hidden gem to the people who live there, they know how wonderful it is. But it is somewhat of a hidden gem to travelers. Many people who visit Puglia, even those who fly into and out of the Bari airport, don’t spend much time in Bari and that’s a shame because Bari is an amazing travel destination.
