Hello, good evening. One question, I want to do the same, but with 5mm leds, what would I change? and connected to 5 volts
The brightness of the LED's might become a problem particularly with the blue LED's. Would change the 4017 ic for a 74HC4017 ic. Not sure if there is a 74HCT4017 series for the provision of extra output current over the 74HC4017 series. Could use output transistors to act as current amplifiers further complicating the circuit. This would-be necessary for the normal 4000 series ic's operating at the lower voltage range as they tend to become sluggish with low frequency and output current capabilities.
