Thanks for the mention! Looking forward to livestream Friday, I'll be ready!
I’ll try to watch for it Can’t wait
Great story Ray. Sorry to hear that the store closed. I’ll definitely check out the livestream tomorrow.
They were my train shop I used. I live about 15 minutes from the store. They were a staple in our community.
English’s was local to me. I bought the Atlas Amtrak Midnight Blue set in your video a few weeks after you were there. The Katy above it was bought by my son.
What a cool store and what a shame. See you Friday!
Hey Ray how's it going luv that high cube box car thanks for the info looking forward to live stream
What a shame Ray, you find a place like English's and they're closing up shop for good. It looked like they had a lot of good stuff in there too. You know, sometimes a closing's due to no more than the owner wants to retire and nobody wants to take over the business, it happens to a lot of places and not just hobby shops.
Anyway, a great find on that car you were looking for!
I'll try to catch the live-stream Friday, we'll see how it works out.
Always good to see you!
Hopefully you can join Wayne !
Are you gonna go to Allentown? In February? I’m gonna be there all weekend once I get table info I’ll pass it along
I’m not sure. I’m definitely going to work I will let you know on Allentown
Nice 50ft.
You should have waited for two days and you would have gotten 40% off that price.
It is sad when a model railroad hobby shop closes. The problem is that they were open for seventy-seven years and eventually the family wants to retire. They may be a third generation owner, but none of their kids or relatives want to keep the business going. Time, effort and for other reasons, it just isn't possible. It is too bad, really, but that is the reality of small, family businesses. Either way, an excellent video, as always.
Appreciate you John
