A couple of things to keep in mind: Keep your selections at 1080x1080 as you fill in areas for max resolution (this will likely not be a problem in the future), and remember, until generative AI comes out of beta, we cannot use it for commercial purposes!

    Very promising! I just wonder how well you can incorporate that workflow with Log footage.. Clearly you won't be able to create the background with the Log gamma curve and get it to work with a LUT afterwards? I guess you have to at least get the footage to Rec709 gamma/gamut first, then export a still, create the background in PS and then you can make your final tweaks in your NLE at the end)?

  • @harpenfluit
    @harpenfluit ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The issue with PS (beta) lies in the barely usable generative fill feature. It frequently triggers the message, "The generated images were removed because they violate user guidelines," without any apparent reason. For instance, using the prompt "luxe resort" to generate a swimming pool background caused a warning, while using simply "resort" was accepted. Even more surprising was when the removal of an object, such as a ball from the pool, triggered a warning.

    • @CSGPhotos
      @CSGPhotos ปีที่แล้ว

      I would be interested in seeing what you are experimenting with. I have never received a warning from PS using Generative Fill.

    • @schultzeworks
      @schultzeworks ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my first PhotoShop beta warning yesterday when editing. It was equally odd; I was merely adding some floor extension to an image that was cropped too tightly. THE SOLUTION: Make a slightly larger or smaller selection area and try again. It is so inconsistent that you just have to keep at it and it will work.

    I think in your set there if the window contained stuff moving outside that it would sell the illusion. Is there a generative fill that will continue green screen element? - especially if you added a TV or monitor - I would be totally sold if it was video and not static. Set extensions in composting has been around for a long time. I have seen some that are extremely clever and natural looking. That part of filmmaking always amazes me.

    • @Myplaylist892
      @Myplaylist892 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can edit the image yourself by adding a chromakey and then take a second video and place it under that element, for example. But the work, in my opinion, would not pay off, better to make a static scene... (Although the work is not that big).

      That quite easy actually, you just export picture as .png or. jpg and then you drop it above your video. Then you just need to mask an area where your video is. This way you got video in the middle of your display with frame around it making an illusion of wider screen.
      Good tip would be to put a feather on that mask to blend your picture with video nicely. Hope that helps
