I thought this is what everyone did. The end goal is to annoy the enemy team. Silencing a miss fortune ult is just REALLY funny. You heal the enemy so they don't get a kill.
Best compliments often come from the enemy team I've found. They know how good you're doing and notice when you ruin their fun times with a well timed Soraka ult or keeping an assassin locked down off your ADC every single time they try to jump in.

I just made a comment on a different website about this: league has 4 different type of supports now: The backline support that just heals and shields The front line support that engages and initiates The mage support that is basically just a regular mage but has some support skills And there's just "so long as their dead I'm helping" support
We have to mention the worst part of being a support... Control wards. Supports sink so much money into these without even understanding why they're doing it. 1 competently placed control ward is both generating gold through the capture of enemy wards, and a safe vision zone for your team and against enemy team. Spamming control wards on the other hand, typically when you ward tribush, it gets cleared, you place your second one, 2 minutes later it also gets cleared cuz you're under pressure. Good job you've lost 150g on nothing, half a kill or an entire wave worth of gold poofed out of existence and you wonder why you're sitting on kindlegem at min 18. Work less, work smarter, save your control wards and stop wasting your gold.

For instance deep in jungle instead of tri brush, that way you get intel on where a jungler is and time to get away as most junglers will stop to clear a ward. You end up sacrificing 75g to stop a gank as opposed to 75g to know Lee Sin is currently sticking his foot in your kidney.

Idk if my enemies are incompetent or what because in most games a buy a single control ward and place it in tbe river near mid, guarding entrance to blue and it stays there basically all game while providing me intel on ganks to both mid and bot, and if the jungle is going to blue
@@TheTarians Well i play every champions supports, my favorites being Leblanc as a mage and Lissandra as a tank, with Leblanc you have such great mobility, a stun, and good poke and engage that level three with a full combo i can nearly take half bar of health, but with Lissandra, i got EVEN BIGGER stuns, good engage, tankiness (as i build tanky), regen/great stun with ult and a slow, still, i did 3 ranked games with Lissandra and... one game my adc kept pinging me so i pulled up the i want to push foward ping(he called me a boosted player.. that karthus freak >:( ), one game my adc threatened me to go somewhere else away from the botlane otherwise she would be the one to do so, and the 3rd game i dont remember perfectly but my adc was.. somehow fed but did no damage? BLEGH! we almost lost! i won the 3 games, average gold experience. I can also recommend nidalee especially after the heal buff that she got, also that attack speed that you give to your adc... ☺☺ So will you stand for us, "support" mains?

As a full support main who literally plays every single type of support playstyle, i have to say... even though you usually get 0 credit and are unappreciated like 4/5 games, that one single game where your teammates actually acknowledge you and give you credit is honestly soo mentally rewarding.
Tank is such a sweet sweet Skinner Box. Many games will suck, your team ignores your engages. Calls for engages you know are suicide...but if you don't they'll all int... And then you get that one perfect game where the enemy team can't kill you and you wade through them, like the terminator stalking the backline. Hooks-a-flyin', crowds being controlled. You walk forward in lane and watch as 5 full grown adults back up in terror. But yeah. Usually it sucks!
As a support main, nothing makes me facepalm harder than killing the enemy bot, grabbing a plate, teleporting back to base and realising my adc just died because they got greedy and refused to listen to me when I told them we shouldn't overextend. ...and now they're blaming me.

As a support, you gain much more control and effectiveness playing in high elo rather than trying to damage control your feeding gold players.
As a Seraphine main, I love that i have the versatility to go through a villain arc if i want. I've unfortunately hit the point in my villain arc where the voices are telling me to play shaco support.
I main Shaco Support and while it's fun as hell, it's a fair bit weaker in season 14 with Liandrys no longer giving haste and mana and the various mana nerfs to Shaco over the last few patches.

You can do everything correctly. Ward, peel, engage, shield and heal but at the end of the day it's up to your team to follow up. If your team is good, you have amazing impact. If your teammates are bad, then you have 0 agency.

Quite frankly sure, adcs have own agency and if they are well positioned and can kit then they are harder to get but absolutely untouchable is no adc in the game and every adc is fragile so that reaching adcs often results in their death. Also in order for adcs to deal damage most of them have to be in medium range, close enough for assassins and some fighters to dash at them. If there is no team stopping these assaults adcs have little they can do about that.

Thing I hate the most is when my team is constantly getting itself into fights, over and over, and while they are dead they'll ponder over something to complain about and see that the map has no vision, because instead of placing wards I tried to help in the fight and died. Had I instead ignored the fight and placed the wards, I would then be accused of trolling for not helping teamfight.

Zyra support here. Yep, the mentality is absolutely, "I don't trust you to do your job. I'll do it, and the damage chart at the end of the game will reflect it."

@@BomberDaviPlay support in low to mid-elo for 20 or so games and that’ll answer your question. The video explains the reasons why people queue up as mage support. The big one for me is that I have more agency. A handful of times I decide at about 10 minutes in that I’m the bot lane carry because they’re doing so poorly and I start building full ap and carry. When you play pure heal/shield/tank supports, sometimes you feel that agency slip away.
@@BomberDavi You're correct. This mentality is healthier in a carry role, but I don't particularly enjoy the Jungle role, and ultimately, I play video games to have fun above everything else. I main mid and support, and yes, I do sometimes play Zyra mid and have a good time with it. When I go support, I still play Zyra because I want to be able to take over if my ADC isn't doing well. I don't start the game with this mentality. I start the game playing a peeling/catcher support with no intent to steal kills. If my ADC can competently act on my catches, we're good, but if they're not doing their job, I like knowing I can take over and still carry the lane. I sit between Emerald and Diamond pretty consistently this way. Maybe I could climb higher with a proper support or if I took Zyra to the Jungle, but I like what I do, and I'm content with my rank.
When I get autofilled support, I play Fiddlesticks. He's a slept-on support. Two CCs, one light one heavy, light sustain, high poke damage, great all-in if your ADC is competant.
And he's good for vision control! Lurk in bushes all game to get them warded, and oops! no river vision for the enemy! Also you get built-in control wards!
@@baron3904The biggest problem with fiddle support is that all relevant bushes get warded if enemies know what they are doing. Also fear on his 1st ability can be a bit clunky against long range champs. There are some funny ult angles in botlane tho)

I am a support main. I have been one since season one, and you missed one crucial support type, the "You are not gonna play" type. Characters like Morgana, Lux, Leona and Nautilus fit this type, as their whole job is making the enemy CC ed long enough for them to get a afk warning. I had 4 accounts in this game, and each had at least 3m on Morgana. I can openly and happily say that i single-handedly raised ban rate of at least 3 characters in TR Server.
I just pick Maokai and pretend to be a support while I'm just busying myself tossing potatoes at the enemy and/or starting a march on Isengard after Lvl 6
I disagree, Leona be leading the next inquisition to cull the heretics. One item - Essence Reaver, and you slowly start to turn up the volume of music from Doom.
Me who loves support cuz i dont have to deal with anything and become the adc's problem instead of vise versa Albeìt it it works out and i end up feeding my adc (Pro tip IGNORE THE RECOMMENDED STUFF AND RECOMMENDED RUNE, make your own runes. Also youre not the carry having a high kda is basically the opposite of what you want cuz those are kills your adc couldve had. It is SUPER ok if you die often because its better one of you dies over two and you basically force the enemies to respect you because of how much your willing to hit them)
@@thelordofthelostbraincells heck, a couple of years ago I was talking about Talon support. It worked because basically, the opponents could never set foot in bottom lane. Double top was a bit more sketchy but there was no reason a top laner couldn't just destroy lane and then roam. Zero farm really hurts the opposing team.
I know it's for comedy purpose but support has been the strongest role this entire season, it's not even in question. Even as a jungler keeping track of 9 billions things while trying to carry 3 lanes and not get invaded. 90% of the games won is often due to gigachad support players. It is extremly rare I honor anything but support at end screen.
One of my favourite things as an ex-support main turned ADC is when my support hovers Senna and I lock in Enchanter Seraphine in response. Essentially we've just role swapped. I just make gold through CSing and Senna gets it through support item and souls. Really does demonstrate who does and who doesn't have the skillset to play Senna, and worst case scenario I bring my heals, shields, Buffs and CC to my Midlaner and Jungler who are more capable of carrying.

As a Rakan main, I love giving my all to peel for my ADC only for them to run away out of my E range after I risked myself just to help them. That’s why I switched to Hwei support. I make sure to ‘secure’ all the kills and peel for myself.

There is a huge pleasure on playing Zyra support. Besides being really annoying to the enemy, when a plant stops attacking the enemy and attacks the minions, if my ACD loses CS I am just like "I can't control them, should have farmed better" Then the gold goes for me. All according to plan.
Supp main, whenever I get tired of ADCs acting like toddlers I just make sure they die in team fight and then, only then I secure the kill. You don't want the ADC you fought so hard to kill to just walk away, do you? :)

I played around 20 games today. nearly all of them were lost. I played nunu and fiddlestick support on all of them and carried my teams ass in every single one and they managed to lose anyways. and then I proceed to get like 1 honor per game (not fun) (not easy)
Reminds me of a game when I was Blitzcrank and enemy was Tresh. I felt super bad for him, because his adc always positioned super bad and always got hooked by me. Meanwhile my adc was first-timing Jinx and kept saying "Wow why is the game so easy". Or a game when I played Soraka and my Draven couldnt be even a second alone without dying and blaming me. But some of my favourite memories are when I either saved my teammates ass and they thanked me or I killed the enemy by.. redemption. Too slow to run away.
only reason why i play support as the only thing i need to focus on is fighting as every other role needs to do something else only bad thing about support is that you cant really 1v9 even as champs like pantheon or senna
I went down an alternate path, I now main support Darius. He's got a natural aura to players that know him, that cause a natural fear to back away whenever he takes one step forward. He has a great counter to any divers, he's also really good at punishing bad positioning. To top it all off, he's also just really fun to play lol
Support is a pretty broken role and I’m saying this as someone who kinda mains support now. Your impact on the game scales with game knowledge more than your actual mechanical skills. As the support you can play any champion with any items and any runes you want because you don’t have to cs. This means you can look at what both teams win conditions are and play to either stop the enemies win conditions, help your teams win conditions, or do both in really good scenarios. The only role that has more maximum potential to impact the game is jg.
As a thresh main i can relate to getting no credit for not missing any hook and setting up a million aces for my team but still getting flamed for throwing my lantern 2 millimeters away from my adc and not right beneath their feet while they are constantly running away from me..
As a Soraka main, my favorite feeling is sitting in spawn eating the glue my adc left out on the floor, fat fingering my ult while I was trying to heal someone, and getting 4 assists from a teamfight that was happening on the other side of the map. I don't know what I did but I was definitely helping, 10/10 skillraka

In your analysis of why sup is incredibly frustrating, you forgot to consider the true reason that I play it: I have an incredibly strong maternal instinct and my ADC is my idiot child crawling around a construction site. I need to protect them, nurture them, and make sure they're getting properly fed while trying to stop steel girders from killing them.

There is sooo little this that make them run it down or you leave them for 2sec in lane phase and they go 1v2 beacuse they smell blood. also there is another kind of sup the wtf one. as vex/poppy sup main
Honestly I feel the worst with Draven players is when the jg plays top side while enemy jg plays botside. Draven is the easiest to snowball champ due to his gold passive, so not playing for him or to shut him down is always a bad call.
here is my advice if you want to play support: get a fk good duo partner, someone who fits you, a real friend, and most important: someone you don't need to talk a lot with because u think alike its so important for your own sanity. then every time your adc gets a kill with your help - your (good) partner will thank you for having the back, everytime you throw ur life in line, maybe even dying - the team going "gg nub" on you - your partner will thank you for saving his life and gold advantage. and he will repay you later with winning the match. every time you go in for a risky shit move - ur (good) partner will follow even when nobody else will. and even if u die - your partner will laugh with you "next time bro" Never - solo Q as support. This is just a gut feeling, but I feel like part of the reason it feels so hard to impact the game as a supp is the role just doesn't use gold all that well. Because you can't farm, and your passive income can't fully make up for that for balance reasons, getting a kill at any point in the game will mean less for you. You can't use the gold to spike like every other role because even with a kill you are only breaking even with a passively farming laner. You can't even really use the pressure from getting a kill either as you would just be stealing XP and gold from one of your laners by trying.
As a bard main, I enjoy doot doot and hot cocoa from the snow bard skin. Sometimes I give my hot cocoa to the other people unfortunately placed to be my teammates. Only sometimes though.
Everytime I play adc with a good support I make sure to commend them, since in the end of the day there's no adc diff. There's only better support next to a right clicker.
Carrying the game and giving clear instructions as a support then they go head on fighting the enemy team after enemy got the elder dragon… my mentality never been better

When youre lagging... this role is PAIN. I killed 1 opponent by MISTAKE and my ADC literally threw the game for killing the enemy before he used flashed. This is normal 😢
I once spotted the entire enemy team sitting in a bush we had warded to try and ambush us before drake (I think at least), so naturally I pinged it, laded a 5-man stun with my Leona Ult that resulted in a 5-0 ace. The ADC who finally found their right mouse button after being unable to rightclick people I was holding in place for the entire lane to the point where I said "Fuck this, I'm walking to toplane and ganking top!" getting all the credit is my thirteenth reason why

You forgot to mention at the start that if you die a whole bunch to get the ADC lots of kills, they will still flame and report you for being bad, and claim that they did everything.
I think getting carried as a support can be the freest win ever, but it can also be the hardest to win with. It’s actually absurd how many people think support is the easiest role to climb with. Maybe for some people but it still takes a lot of skill and knowledge
I'd say that as Soraka and Neeko two-trick, my efforts are almost always recognized, people almost always thank for good soraka ult or say gj in case of good neeko ult
I've been a support main for almost 15 years of Mobas now, the most annoying issue with support is my lack of ability to solo carry a game, like I can make the best saves, land amazing stuns, ward like crazy, roam constantly, and that's not going to gurateee the win if my team is stupid, I have appreciated that Lol allows me to carry on higher dmg supports at the same time it annoys me when I ward all around dragon and ping it a bunch and my team decides "nah"
Lee Sin support is so fun. Infinite amount of wards so you always have a dash, hits pretty hard pre 6, can insec the enemy adc once Lee hits lvl 6, good at roaming since he's primarly a jungle, omega fun since you're playing Lee Sin, and also it kinda makes you less useless late game since because you're support you're not supposed to be a damage dealer, so the downside of Lee Sin jungle (having a shitty late game where you just exist to insec or smite objectives) becomes less frustrating when you're playing support.
As a Pyke main, it is very fun to win bot lane and lose later on anyways because somehow our top is 0/13 despite both supports being glued to bot (with minor roams here and there) and it's our expected to job to kill the 13/1 darius with 4 items at 20 minutes

The only role that doesn't have to cs in lane nor manage camps, gets a free item and wards, and the option for every class in the game to be played on there with minimal responsibilities and biggest flexibility on where to go. Yet they still mess up and blame their adcs when they int and feed enemy samira

As a full support main who literally plays every single type of support playstyle, i have to say... even though you usually get 0 credit and are unappreciated like 4/5 games, that one single game where your teammates actually acknowledge you and give you credit is honestly soo mentally rewarding.

And then you get that one perfect game where the enemy team can't kill you and you wade through them, like the terminator stalking the backline. Hooks-a-flyin', crowds being controlled. You walk forward in lane and watch as 5 full grown adults back up in terror.

As a support main, nothing makes me facepalm harder than killing the enemy bot, grabbing a plate, teleporting back to base and realising my adc just died because they got greedy and refused to listen to me when I told them we shouldn't overextend.

As a support, you gain much more control and effectiveness playing in high elo rather than trying to damage control your feeding gold players.

I main Shaco Support and while it's fun as hell, it's a fair bit weaker in season 14 with Liandrys no longer giving haste and mana and the various mana nerfs to Shaco over the last few patches.

You can do everything correctly. Ward, peel, engage, shield and heal but at the end of the day it's up to your team to follow up. If your team is good, you have amazing impact. If your teammates are bad, then you have 0 agency.

Quite frankly sure, adcs have own agency and if they are well positioned and can kit then they are harder to get but absolutely untouchable is no adc in the game and every adc is fragile so that reaching adcs often results in their death.
Also in order for adcs to deal damage most of them have to be in medium range, close enough for assassins and some fighters to dash at them. If there is no team stopping these assaults adcs have little they can do about that.

Thing I hate the most is when my team is constantly getting itself into fights, over and over, and while they are dead they'll ponder over something to complain about and see that the map has no vision, because instead of placing wards I tried to help in the fight and died. Had I instead ignored the fight and placed the wards, I would then be accused of trolling for not helping teamfight.
You shouldn't wait for team fights to ward though... You need to keep constant vision through key points all through the match

The video explains the reasons why people queue up as mage support. The big one for me is that I have more agency. A handful of times I decide at about 10 minutes in that I’m the bot lane carry because they’re doing so poorly and I start building full ap and carry. When you play pure heal/shield/tank supports, sometimes you feel that agency slip away.
@@BomberDavi You're correct. This mentality is healthier in a carry role, but I don't particularly enjoy the Jungle role, and ultimately, I play video games to have fun above everything else. I main mid and support, and yes, I do sometimes play Zyra mid and have a good time with it. When I go support, I still play Zyra because I want to be able to take over if my ADC isn't doing well. I don't start the game with this mentality. I start the game playing a peeling/catcher support with no intent to steal kills. If my ADC can competently act on my catches, we're good, but if they're not doing their job, I like knowing I can take over and still carry the lane. I sit between Emerald and Diamond pretty consistently this way. Maybe I could climb higher with a proper support or if I took Zyra to the Jungle, but I like what I do, and I'm content with my rank.

When I get autofilled support, I play Fiddlesticks. He's a slept-on support. Two CCs, one light one heavy, light sustain, high poke damage, great all-in if your ADC is competant.
And he's good for vision control! Lurk in bushes all game to get them warded, and oops! no river vision for the enemy! Also you get built-in control wards!

@@baron3904The biggest problem with fiddle support is that all relevant bushes get warded if enemies know what they are doing. Also fear on his 1st ability can be a bit clunky against long range champs. There are some funny ult angles in botlane tho)

I am a support main. I have been one since season one, and you missed one crucial support type, the "You are not gonna play" type. Characters like Morgana, Lux, Leona and Nautilus fit this type, as their whole job is making the enemy CC ed long enough for them to get a afk warning.
I had 4 accounts in this game, and each had at least 3m on Morgana. I can openly and happily say that i single-handedly raised ban rate of at least 3 characters in TR Server.
I just pick Maokai and pretend to be a support while I'm just busying myself tossing potatoes at the enemy and/or starting a march on Isengard after Lvl 6

Also youre not the carry having a high kda is basically the opposite of what you want cuz those are kills your adc couldve had. It is SUPER ok if you die often because its better one of you dies over two and you basically force the enemies to respect you because of how much your willing to hit them)

@@thelordofthelostbraincells heck, a couple of years ago I was talking about Talon support. It worked because basically, the opponents could never set foot in bottom lane. Double top was a bit more sketchy but there was no reason a top laner couldn't just destroy lane and then roam. Zero farm really hurts the opposing team.

I know it's for comedy purpose but support has been the strongest role this entire season, it's not even in question. Even as a jungler keeping track of 9 billions things while trying to carry 3 lanes and not get invaded. 90% of the games won is often due to gigachad support players. It is extremly rare I honor anything but support at end screen.
One of my favourite things as an ex-support main turned ADC is when my support hovers Senna and I lock in Enchanter Seraphine in response.
Essentially we've just role swapped. I just make gold through CSing and Senna gets it through support item and souls.
Really does demonstrate who does and who doesn't have the skillset to play Senna, and worst case scenario I bring my heals, shields, Buffs and CC to my Midlaner and Jungler who are more capable of carrying.

As a Rakan main, I love giving my all to peel for my ADC only for them to run away out of my E range after I risked myself just to help them.
That’s why I switched to Hwei support. I make sure to ‘secure’ all the kills and peel for myself.
I KNOW RIGHT? Rakan was my first m7 champ and i entirely relied on whether or not my adc had a semi functional brain, last game i got reported for having 2 deaths in 13 min by my sivir

There is a huge pleasure on playing Zyra support. Besides being really annoying to the enemy, when a plant stops attacking the enemy and attacks the minions, if my ACD loses CS I am just like "I can't control them, should have farmed better" Then the gold goes for me. All according to plan.

I played around 20 games today. nearly all of them were lost. I played nunu and fiddlestick support on all of them and carried my teams ass in every single one and they managed to lose anyways. and then I proceed to get like 1 honor per game (not fun) (not easy)

Reminds me of a game when I was Blitzcrank and enemy was Tresh. I felt super bad for him, because his adc always positioned super bad and always got hooked by me. Meanwhile my adc was first-timing Jinx and kept saying "Wow why is the game so easy".
Or a game when I played Soraka and my Draven couldnt be even a second alone without dying and blaming me.
But some of my favourite memories are when I either saved my teammates ass and they thanked me or I killed the enemy by.. redemption. Too slow to run away.

I went down an alternate path, I now main support Darius.
He's got a natural aura to players that know him, that cause a natural fear to back away whenever he takes one step forward.
He has a great counter to any divers, he's also really good at punishing bad positioning.
To top it all off, he's also just really fun to play lol
Support is a pretty broken role and I’m saying this as someone who kinda mains support now. Your impact on the game scales with game knowledge more than your actual mechanical skills. As the support you can play any champion with any items and any runes you want because you don’t have to cs. This means you can look at what both teams win conditions are and play to either stop the enemies win conditions, help your teams win conditions, or do both in really good scenarios. The only role that has more maximum potential to impact the game is jg.

As a thresh main i can relate to getting no credit for not missing any hook and setting up a million aces for my team but still getting flamed for throwing my lantern 2 millimeters away from my adc and not right beneath their feet while they are constantly running away from me..

As a Soraka main, my favorite feeling is sitting in spawn eating the glue my adc left out on the floor, fat fingering my ult while I was trying to heal someone, and getting 4 assists from a teamfight that was happening on the other side of the map. I don't know what I did but I was definitely helping, 10/10 skillraka
You either be the sole pillar of CC and tank stat that helps your team or be the 0 damage NPC that can't do anything when the enemy team goes crazy.
That's truly how tank supp feels. Either unkillable cc machine, or just a punching bag

The only recognition a support will get (and needs) comes from the enemy team.
They don't even need to write it in chat, just you walking up and they back down, while they stand their ground when the ADC does the same, is just so satisfying.
(speaking from an engage tank / carry sup perspective)
In your analysis of why sup is incredibly frustrating, you forgot to consider the true reason that I play it: I have an incredibly strong maternal instinct and my ADC is my idiot child crawling around a construction site. I need to protect them, nurture them, and make sure they're getting properly fed while trying to stop steel girders from killing them.

From all adc main i play with worst is Draven players. They have soo big and fragile ego.
There is sooo little this that make them run it down or you leave them for 2sec in lane phase and they go 1v2 beacuse they smell blood.

Honestly I feel the worst with Draven players is when the jg plays top side while enemy jg plays botside. Draven is the easiest to snowball champ due to his gold passive, so not playing for him or to shut him down is always a bad call.

here is my advice if you want to play support:
get a fk good duo partner, someone who fits you, a real friend, and most important: someone you don't need to talk a lot with because u think alike
its so important for your own sanity.
then every time your adc gets a kill with your help - your (good) partner will thank you for having the back, everytime you throw ur life in line, maybe even dying - the team going "gg nub" on you - your partner will thank you for saving his life and gold advantage. and he will repay you later with winning the match. every time you go in for a risky shit move - ur (good) partner will follow even when nobody else will. and even if u die - your partner will laugh with you "next time bro"

This is just a gut feeling, but I feel like part of the reason it feels so hard to impact the game as a supp is the role just doesn't use gold all that well. Because you can't farm, and your passive income can't fully make up for that for balance reasons, getting a kill at any point in the game will mean less for you. You can't use the gold to spike like every other role because even with a kill you are only breaking even with a passively farming laner. You can't even really use the pressure from getting a kill either as you would just be stealing XP and gold from one of your laners by trying.
You as swain or pyke supp when your ADC is useless (99% of the time): Fine. I'll do it myself.
As a bard main, I enjoy doot doot and hot cocoa from the snow bard skin. Sometimes I give my hot cocoa to the other people unfortunately placed to be my teammates. Only sometimes though.

I once spotted the entire enemy team sitting in a bush we had warded to try and ambush us before drake (I think at least), so naturally I pinged it, laded a 5-man stun with my Leona Ult that resulted in a 5-0 ace. The ADC who finally found their right mouse button after being unable to rightclick people I was holding in place for the entire lane to the point where I said "Fuck this, I'm walking to toplane and ganking top!" getting all the credit is my thirteenth reason why

I think getting carried as a support can be the freest win ever, but it can also be the hardest to win with. It’s actually absurd how many people think support is the easiest role to climb with. Maybe for some people but it still takes a lot of skill and knowledge

We have had two very different experiences then
I've been a support main for almost 15 years of Mobas now, the most annoying issue with support is my lack of ability to solo carry a game, like I can make the best saves, land amazing stuns, ward like crazy, roam constantly, and that's not going to gurateee the win if my team is stupid, I have appreciated that Lol allows me to carry on higher dmg supports at the same time it annoys me when I ward all around dragon and ping it a bunch and my team decides "nah"
Lee Sin support is so fun. Infinite amount of wards so you always have a dash, hits pretty hard pre 6, can insec the enemy adc once Lee hits lvl 6, good at roaming since he's primarly a jungle, omega fun since you're playing Lee Sin, and also it kinda makes you less useless late game since because you're support you're not supposed to be a damage dealer, so the downside of Lee Sin jungle (having a shitty late game where you just exist to insec or smite objectives) becomes less frustrating when you're playing support.

As a Pyke main, it is very fun to win bot lane and lose later on anyways because somehow our top is 0/13 despite both supports being glued to bot (with minor roams here and there) and it's our expected to job to kill the 13/1 darius with 4 items at 20 minutes

The only role that doesn't have to cs in lane nor manage camps, gets a free item and wards, and the option for every class in the game to be played on there with minimal responsibilities and biggest flexibility on where to go.
