    Just started the video. Looking for Rousseau Gambit or Schultze-Mueller (which reminds me a bit of the Halloween Gambit). Crossing fingers ...
    27:40 If you go to Norway, you can go to Hell and back.
    1:05:40 I was screaming, "TAKE THE ROOK! TAKE THE ROOK!" :)

      Aren't Shultze-Mueller and Halloween the same thing?

    • @josepherhardt164
      @josepherhardt164 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@小胖-q8v Well, darn! THAT'S why the one reminded me of the other! Context is important--the last time I saw the Halloween discussed, it was ... Halloween.
      Edit: Just looked it up on Wikipedia. Also called the Leipzig gambit, because the Leipzig chess club members notoriously used it to good (probably monetary) effect.
      Someone's currently playing the SM gambit against me, I didn't recognize it, and when I looked it up, it only called it Schultze-Mueller.

      @@josepherhardt164 huh apparently Müller and Schulze aren't names of any chess players. Some obscure chess openings sure can have weird names. Like the Frankenstein Dracula variation in the Vienna. Maybe it's also not named after any chess players?

      I assume the rook/queen fork.
      That hangs the knight. White plays the same move it did in the game with check only the knight is adjacent and undefended in that line. #Tactics.
