I run my Apple car play via my Fodsport pro its a cheap system but up to now been fine definitely use an Apple lead and like wise in my VW excellent product
I am hoping the drop off I suffered was because I was filming on my phone as I had it all connected, but the true test will be a ride out. I am not expecting perfection, but I was impressed with just how easy it all was, and how stable before I started filming
It does have bluetooth, but you cannot control the phone apart from moving a track foreward and back. When you connect via a cable you get full apple carplay, so this device gives you the car play without the wires.
The short answer is that you don't, but no issue to unplug and replace with my phone. I was an Android person, and for that I used a Motorola which worked fine with my Samsung S10, but not with my Google Pixel. Decided to sort out my phones, bought an iPhone and sold the others.
I think you should have a usb charging point in the left rear pannier at the top front . My 2021 has one there .and the Motorola m1 still works in there.@@HighlandRider
I do, my iPod is connected there. I have not ridden much in the last tow months due to bereavement so I havn't done the playing about I wanted to do.@@mrmr9767

My dongle works fine, but I find that I have gone back to plugging the phone in directly.
Brilliant so much better than an RT. But I’m sure you know that!! As you know the BM system . always drops off

I ride an RT now. I thought the Goldwing had bluetooth capability to connect the phone to the bike. Is that not the case? Thanks

So how do you charge the phone then? And I thought you were an Android user?
