@@barbarairvin1219. Houston is in a lot of activities I mean he signed up for this sport that sport and then he also does that CrossFit training stuff so he's he's got a pretty active lifestyle. He and his dad do a lot of fishing. And I don't think that's a typical farm I mean they have farm animals that are really pets. But regardless he's a pretty busy young man.
@Marywilson1442 I know that he's a very busy boy.. and Daniel island a wonderful father teaching him so many things about life. I just see other farm children working on their parents farms, and learning a lot about work and responsibility. It is not always pray time. It just upset me when Daniel asked him to do something and he tells his father you do it. Just rubbed me the wrong way. I just see him growing up as a very entitled person. I just love Daniel he is such a inspiration. A very good man front to back. I did not mean that as an insult but just an observation.

I built one very much like this one here in Illinois. I went to a carpet store and robbed their dumpster and put 2 layers of carpet down. This quiets things when you're moving around, and keeps your feet much warmer. I also stapled camo screen over the windows on the outside walls and cut slits in it to stick the gun barrel through.
Daniel, just an idea I used, get two tones of green paint. 11:50 cut a couple of those cedar limbs, pour the paint in some large foil roasting pans Dip the cedlar branches in the paint and slap your shed/ blind to create a custom camo. Then, when your brand new white tee has all the character of camo splashes, you haea new tee design. Love your channel from east texas.

That blind is in better shape than my first house! That blind is big enough and tall enough you can use a good sized propane heater. I wouldn't worry too much about insulation other than that big gap under the tin. Gonna be a deer hunting video studio when you get done! Hunting in comfort and style is the only way to go!

Hahaha, I was my Dad’s gopher (go-fer) through many projects. That’s how I learned to use tools, work on cars, fix toilets….many useful skills that have come in handy through the years.

Daniel, they make a small solar fan that should be able to cool the Deer blind and it is relatively cheap. Maybe a ten inch fan. I think I saw it on Amazon.

Packaging bubble wrap is not bad as insulation. A couple of layers between the studs will help. Then Lining it with black plastic film shouldn't work out to expensive or time consuming either.
This blind shed, seeing your thinking about insulating the walls, in the summer you can put a small Air-conditioner ! And then when winter comes, you guys won't freeze, cause you put insulation in! Awesome idea, I think Daniel!😊😊😊
Go get you some blue foam board 1 inch thick for walls. It will deaden the noise like you won’t believe make the tuff hunts easier ( remember limpy gimpy ) along with some burlap tater sacks to drape over the windows so you won’t be back lit
The windows look good , an easy trick for curtains over the windows is to stretch a thin rope or wire above the window and use some old pillow cases for curtains you can even dye them black before hand! Quick and easy or any pieces of dark cloth to put over the wire
One person I watch paints the inside of his blinds black. You might keep your eyes out for a dark color paint - brown, green, grey. You can always get a smaller container of black to stir in to make it darker if needed.
Great job on the deer blind. Just a thought,plant some of those red cedars around the outside for camouflage. It will make good cover. The smell of cedar will hide human sent and no bugs will get in the wood. Don't forget to spray around the tops of the walls with 10W 40 to get wasp out.
We use office chairs also get indoor/ outdoor carpet for the floor. It makes it really quiet, especially if you drop something. Also if you insulate the walls, it makes it even quieter

Nice blind... How about some camo netting that can be attached above the windows and pulled down when need/when you have the windows open so the deer can't see in.. Like the idea of the rubber mats for sound proofing the floor. Love seeing all your critters. So cool when they show us their true personalities. I believe I would have to leave a shelf up for a place to lay your binoculars , coffee cup, cut a couple slots so you could rest your rifle there, and also a place to set your shooting pads!! 😊
I know the birds are not ya'll's favorites, but they are the funniest birds ever. I mean Pablo was the craziest duck I ever saw, but you got a turkey looking for some action with a chicken and he was raised by a goose and the momma who laid hom. Jeesh!😂😂😂😂😂
Why can't I see Earl my favorite dog. Charlie is so neat. I walked 2 miles yesterday to go on a boat. I want to Do My Best and give them treats. I walk fine when there are fences or objects
You could make curtains with burlap bags. Use bungee cord with to hang them on. That way you don’t have to worry about a rod. That could make loud noise if it falls. The merch building and blind look great!
Great fun watching you work on your projects great memories will be made. Love the look of the "Merch" building. A 5 ft. tall black wrought iron fence with nice detail on top, would look so good out front. 💓
Considering how cold it can be during hunting season, I'd look at putting some Rockwool insulation between the studs and then put some drywall or some of that insulation foil over the Rockwool to seal it up. Pool noodles can be cut in half lengthwise and used under the edges of the roof to close off the openings there. That would give you a nice insulated hunting blind and wouldn't cost that much.
Houston is Growing so fast and learning ho to do so many things with you. Great Father Son Times and Memories. You can paint the Roof with Silver Fiber Paint. If you add extra Silver Paint that will help Reflect the Heat off the Roof. Just a thought. Peace from WV

I think that Houston should start learning some craft skills next. He's about ready to make a start with tools and projects.

You could make curtains with burlap bags. Use bungee cord with to hang them on. That way you don’t have to worry about a rod. That could make loud noise if it falls. The merch building and blind look great!

Considering how cold it can be during hunting season, I'd look at putting some Rockwool insulation between the studs and then put some drywall or some of that insulation foil over the Rockwool to seal it up. Pool noodles can be cut in half lengthwise and used under the edges of the roof to close off the openings there. That would give you a nice insulated hunting blind and wouldn't cost that much.

You can paint the Roof with Silver Fiber Paint. If you add extra Silver Paint that will help Reflect the Heat off the Roof. Just a thought. Peace from WV
