Earl wants to look where ever Daniel is looking. RJ is in protection mode and clashing with Bear. So nice to see them getting along and running around on a cool morning. Earl gets along with everyone pretty much. That pop up blind is way cool. Now I'm convinced the Chinees are way smarter than us rural folks and maybe even most structural engineers. We should think about building our own naturally camo blinds in about 4 hours for free from stuff on the homestead. Naw.... watching Daniel get his rear end wooped and handed to him by a see through pop up blind was worth what ever it cost. Plus it is cool as heck and way easy to put up if you aren't like normal folks and practical to boot. The acorns are thick for sure. Hoping for some rain and little prayer too. Good luck this deer season with the kids and various weaponry. Best to you and yours

I watched my father as i was growing up and he would take soil samples every year and send them off to the university to be tested. So he would know what the land needed and in saying that i get what you are doing and i can't believe someone said your not taking care of the habitat. They must not have ears. We live in the city and have oak trees everywhere! Our squirrels are so smart that instead of taking the acorns and then running to bury them, they literally chew off the little branches, probably 5-10 clusters at a time and then go down and eat and hide them. It sounds like hail out there on our cars.

RJ is so much like his daddy! The pastures looks amazing! Going to be a good acorn crop this year for sure. They are starting to fall here. I just had 6 whitetail under my window. Small does, but the big buck was on the drive--lol I really want an Axis this year. I never feed, but the neighbors do. I have told them time and again to stop feeding just corn thru the year, but they continue. The result is we now have a lot smaller deer than we did 5 years ago even. Your trees will be so much healthier now that you have removed the undergrowth. Y'all will use the merch building so much! Good investment for sure! Save me a spot--one day I might just make it there!! Love the pop-up blind!

I feel like when I do things outside I can see the visual difference and it’s very satisfying. I would work 12-13hr night shifts in the emergency room and then get home at 8am and bust out the snow blower if it snowed when I was gone. There were many shifts that were very emotionally, mentally and physically draining. But for some reason, running the snow blower in 10 degree weather for an hour or two really helped me process that and expel some of that pent up emotion. Anything outside is just rejuvenating in many ways. And then nature as well.

I think you guys are being smart and thinking ahead. Plus ,you did say that it definitely increases the value as you are only 3 miles from the lake. Which I believe raises the value even more by having living space inside this dwelling.
That blind could make for a nice summer camping shelter. I love the ability to see out from all around too. Are the seams for the roof taped (waterproof)? Nice to see the seeding is working as planned. Earl's your right hand man in the buggy and doing it well. That off-center window you were mentioning. M'be put up a book case along that wall to take up some of that visual catch? LOL... RJ. The nut didn't fall far from the tree there.
Earl is so doggone cute! If you are going to use the merch building as a "apartment" also. You really need to put in a shower. If someone comes and stays over night, they are definitely going to want to take a shower or will you be taking them to your house to do so. Thanks for all of the videos of your adorable animals.

Earl is so doggone cute! If you are going to use the merch building as a "apartment" also. You really need to put in a shower. If someone comes and stays over night, they are definitely going to want to take a shower or will you be taking them to your house to do so. Thanks for all of the videos of your adorable animals.
