Try making diagonal cuts along both sides of the fish then season it. This helps to get seasoning onto the flesh of the fish and also seems to help cook it a little faster.
I like your style with the sandie right on the dash! 😂 when I live in northwest New Mexico a friend and I would drive to our fishing spot with some frozen green chile burritos. On the road we would crank up the heat and throw the burritos in the sun on the dash even during the summer and heat our burritos! 😂

And lemon pepper , (parsley dried not fresh )and fresh garlic bring to a boil turn off heat pretty Much just bring the butter to where it browns the garlic then let sit for at least two min , Take the fish and fillet it then put in tinfoil and pour the sauce over it and cook till flakey this is also an amazing sauce to dip crab in

Hello Leif, not sure if you read the older comments, but please be aware that a metal utensil being used on a non-stick type of pan - like you are cooking with in this video - will damage the pan's coating as well as put small shavings of the coating in your food. It's really bad for your health and your pan. Keep on "Fishing On!" dude, love your channel!
A good way to not have to rebait with eggs every cast is to tie somthing called a yarnie. Make sure it’s the same color as the roe. You can but the yarnies in some roe juices and but it on with your eggs. So when you loose your eggs you still have the scent and color of eggs.
The Modern Pacific Northwest: Less consistent rain, still muddy rivers, tweakers, gentrification, LOTS of Califronians, and still really fabulous fish & scenery! haha. Also, Elephant Garlic is actually technically not garlic at all, but a Leek! Down here just across the Columbia, Banks hosts a massive parade and festival literally all about Elephant Garlic haha. They take their Elephant Garlic VERY seriously!
use always smaller float on your trips ,that one is for 10 kg carp :) +/- 3grams ( convert that for US messure) will be perfectly fine, please just try , you will see big different ....easyier for fish ,easyier for handeling .... also for spining try to use +/-2 cm spinner .... clean water darker spinner , messy watter shine spinner... Sorry for my English.... I grow up in mountains with trouts in Slovakia .....
