We’ve been there with Pro!Tools when that error msg pops up about “Can’t find files”. Long story short, this video showed me how to clean up my clips list, and that resolved the issue. THANKS!

Hey Wayne, This video is very insightful with the exception of the fact that you make absolutely NO mention of what to do with the MIDI files. This whole process you explained excludes the MIDI files and someone who is very new to ProTools and exporting sessions will very likely be under the impression that those files have been captured as well as all the audio "wav" files. You should edit this video to add a comment and let them know that before they do all of this, they will want to record all of their MIDI tracks over to stereo audio tracks prior to doing all of this; OR come back and select all of their MIDI tracks and export the MIDI tracks separately, if they think the person they are sending all of this to can match all of the correct sounds and effects. When you're really new at this and clinging onto TH-cam videos for quick and accurate explanations, it can be very frustrating when huge steps like this are totally omitted.
This helped me alot i was wondering how i could erase all the unused tracks with out going through each one all the time this tutorial saved me alot of time on future mixing.

You played me Wavy... I deleted Unused Clips, and my whole session got deleted... thank God I saved before doing that, and exited out of Pro Tools without saving and came back - and everything was there except the Instrumental, but I was able to convert it back in there again... Thanks Wavy

Wayne, Great talk, but think about the following "Got Ya". Please let me know if this is correct. In the talk, you first do a Select | Unused. Then do the "Save Copy In". Problem - If your Clip List has any "Add" i.e. linked audio files, it will delete the linked file which is the original source audio file. Ugh! *** Possible Solution *** First, do the "Save Copy In". "Save Copy In" will copy any "Add" i.e. linked audio files to the "Audio Files" folder. Second, open the "Save Copy In" session. Now you can safely do the Select | Unused since all the audio files are in the "Audio Files" folder. Third, do the "Save Copy In" on the session. Yes, I know it is inconvenient to do the "Save Copy In" twice, but losing the original source audio files is far worse.
