Wow man, four years ago me randomly finding your channel and not missing a single episode was one of the best things ever happened ❤️🤍👏🥺😭 Congratulations for the baby rita and dace ❤️ 😅 Can’t wait to see you guys next April, have a great winter ❤️ From Morocco.🇲🇦
I found Project Kamp while watching Precious Plastics. Dave was given grants for his ideas on how to work with plastics. All the plans for machines and such are free to download too. It's amazing the journey Dave has taken.
The recycled plastic hangers are like the project kamp version of a hunting trophy. The beast that has eluded you all season, now mounted on your wall.
Congratulations, Rita and Dave, on your pregnancy! Halfway through this episode, I was wondering if there was something going on with Rita, since we hadn’t seen her for a while. It’s so wonderful to hear this news!
Talk about finishing on a high note! Leaky pipe proof, digger on site, nailed the digging, basically made a music video including writing/recording the song and the skill shown in enclosing the ruin. The knowledge and skills are clear in how well this portion of the build was executed. Well done on all fronts. Seriously worthy of a standing ovation. Enjoy your time off.
HUGE standing ovation!!! May y’all focus on resting and resetting yourselves throughout this winter season . To good health as well with your selves and baby!! Much love
I'm not crying... you're crying! Season 4 is a wrap. I often tell the younger engineers I mentor if you need practice on how to give a proper status update watch Project Kamp! Every time I have to give a status update at work I imagine that I'm giving a Project Kamp update. I absolutely love the way the videos are delivered and how they include everyone "we did this/that" this is how a team rows the boat to the finish line!
This season seemed to go by so fast! So glad the equipment issue was successfully resolved and projects were moved forward with everyone having a safe experience. Some people seemed to have been very busy in the background as well! Congratulations to all.
I don't know these young people. I probably would/will never encounter them, but I am so proud of all of you! You are doing amazing work that the world needs more of. I appreciate everything you're doing. Can't wait until next season!
Ho nooo! What are my Mondays going to look like without you guys?! Thank you for sharing such amount of love and uplifting crafts. It feels like the world is a better place by your side and I can’t wait to hear from you again. Have a great winter, take care Rita, and warm greetings from Paris!
What an End!!!!!!!! To the people, to the accomplishment with beautiful ruin, but most of all to Rita and Dave, congratulations guys! May season 5 be your biggest ever! ❤
Awe … “and one more thing” … i love it … thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful winter and looking forward for the next crew / season / summer … all the best to all of you! ❤ be well …
Superb, the team photo at the ruin, the last meal together, the song, the goodbyes and the soon to be hello to a new project camp member. What an emotional last episode for the year. I still feel an injection of optimism when I watch project camp, it helps vaccinate me against the other stuff going on in the world. Project camp should be prescribed viewing against a tired old world.
Golly, that four years has just gone in a flash! Love watching you all grow your community - many congratulations on the baby! Cannot wait to see in the new season and see what you all get to do 😊🫶
I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos on Mondays! This season, I learned that a courgette is also called a zucchini and how to buy a digger that actually gets delivered. I’ve also been in awe of the transformation of the ruin and the fridge box! I wish I were as handy as you so I could help out at the camp. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll dive into your open-source project. See you next time!
Ya know you're getting old and soft when you shed a tear. Thank you for keeping me entertained most evenings these last few months and have a safe winter.
Incredible what you have achieved in those couple of years. Not just physical stuff but the local and online community. Overseeing a huge number of volunteers. Mad respect for that. And big high fives to the whole team! I guess that's why we haven't seen Rita for a while
i will miss you guys.. my favorite time of the year is when you guys come back.. have a wonderful winter, be safe and be healthy.. we will see you in the spring
Wow, guys, this was an amazing season! You've done so many projects! Kudos to all the hard workers. 👏🏻 Dave and Rita, congratulations! Can't wait to meet the little one in season 5.❤
I really like that "trying things out and seeing how it goes" is part of your project - that means that even when you don't succeed in doing what you wanted to do, it still counts as having done something.
I have my own piece of land here in the southeast of brazil where i receive volunteers and get lots of projects going! we're working with lots of COB, wood and planting a lot of food. it's a lot of work and one of the things that helps me to relax (it's crazy but it works!) and get inspired is watching those videos! thanks for one more amazing season!! :)
Well done everyone with the ruin project. A suggested improvement (cos I know we all love those after the event 🤣) would be to install metal insect mesh along the edges of the eaves (at the end of the roof rafters) to stop insects nesting and birds etc entering. The roof should ideally have air flow below the tiles to deal with moisture, but with the solid blocks / noggins you have installed that's not going to be possible. You could drill several large holes in each block and fix mesh across the front - pretty quick fix.
That's what I was thinking too - that the space beneath the roof needs air flow, not only to prevent moisture from building up but also to prevent dry rot from all the heat! I was also worried about where wood is touching stone and/or mortar, because they absorb water, which will be soaked in by the wood, not only causing rot, but also creating the perfect environment for spiders, carpenter ants and termites! For future projects, I seriously recommend that you order metal brackets and saddles to serve as a bridge between wood and stone/mortar. These can be bought from building materials suppliers online. If you explain what you're building, they can suggest the right ones for what you're doing.
@@RD9_Designs they make masonry products that are designed to go on wood and vise versa. They installed the entire roof incorrectly. fixing it now means taking it off and relaying it. they also make plastic (something that could be produced at their reuse/recycling facility) underlayment products that serve to close the gap but allow air flow. Putting metal and masonry together is a no-no now. Corrosion being the biggest factor.
What an impactful season. I have been following the progress of the Projectkamp since the first season and also Precious plastic. Congratz Dave & Rita.🥰 May your baby be born and grow up healthy. As a father of two months old , I can say that a truly different experience and journey begins. Greetings from ♻♻♻ Precious PLastic Turkey ♻♻♻
I stumbled upon your Season 1 recap video today, and I’ve been hooked ever since-it's been five hours, and I just can’t put my phone down! Can’t believe it’s almost over. Thanks for this valuable content guys. Hope next season inspires more people in the Global South to follow Project Kamp! :)
Super nice job! It looks great. So sad when you leave but so glad when you come back. Already counting the days for your return. Hope everyone enjoys their time away, take care everyone.
I'd wondered where Rita had got to as in previous years she's been around a lot more. I guess that we now know why. Congratulations to you both. Hopefully, come spring, there will be a baby to join the Kamp family. 😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤❤😃😃
We always miss you folks over the winter, but anticipating Spring and the first 2025 TH-cam episode keeps us warm & cozy here in the USA. We especially love the camaraderie, the craftsmanship, the recycling, and the work ethic. What an inspiration to all us trying to create a more sustainable way of living at the edge of the forest. May you all have a great winter & spring, and find your way back to Kamp next year. Much love from America...
very happy you got the ruin together, a lot of hard work. Also glad you finally got a digger on the grounds after a lot of mishaps. all and all a very pleasing season. Already looking forward to the next one!
What a lovely last update! Congrats to all of you, for the year you wrapped up, the hard work and the cutest little project on the Kamp! ❤ can't wait for next year!
Dave and Rita, Whaaat a sweetest SURPRISEEEE🎉🎉🎉. And I wanna thank to the rain so I don't have to see all those tears of goodbye😢,, thanks for this season and can't wait for season 5❤❤❤❤❤
I look on from a distance feeling such pride and hope for us all as you work so hard to be environmentally sustainable. You are giving the world positive action and information for others to act on. Have a safe, healthy, and relaxing off-season time. 👍❤️
I stumbled upon your project and am so grateful for the discovery. After watching a few of your latest endeavors, I had to go back to the very beginning, and now, I am systematically watching each episode. I really like your mission, and your willingness to adapt and learn from locals and science. Being under the threat of fire, can be a bit taxing on the spirit. I hope you continue to get crews of fun and motivated people to help you with your fire clearing and re-introduction of native species. I also hope you get to restore your ruins and turn them into productive spots. Thank you for sharing this wonderful project. The best of luck to you! If I were younger, I’d love to volunteer. I’ll look forward to your next video ✔️
Congrats to Rita and Dave! Also thank you for the video editing team for making this season more interesting and entertaining. The quality of your videos are just getting better snd better! Love you guys!
So sad to see you pack up for winter. But a fantastic effort to finish the exterior of the little house. (What will you name it)? The carpentry was incredible to watch, every piece measured and crafted to fit like a jigsaw puzzle. And well done Colline for all that cement work. Great to resolve the PIPE issue and handy using the digger. The digger needs to be kept safe and secure this winter. And of course thanks to the great video production team and all members who helped to make a successful Season Four.
Season 4 was the first season I watched as it was going on. There is no doubt the part of me that still feels love was healed by having something so joyous to come to every Monday. I hope that like the Kamp, I regenerate this winter to come back even better. Love you guys!
I’m sad the season has ended but you all deserve a winter rest.. go well everyone. What an amazing transformation on the ruin.. look forward to seeing the further progress next season. You guys rock 💪👌🙌 Congrats to you both, Dave & Rita, exciting times ahead 😊 Love this channel, watching the changes from the beginning has been great. Take care all of you and see you in April 😊
Amazing season. So much done this year. Cannot wait for next season and upgrades to come. Congratulations to Dave and Rita. Such an awesome announcement.
Hi Project Kamp people. Thank you so much for your inspirational videos. We have watched them from the start of your project and just love what you are doing. And, its great to see that Rita is hapu.(NZ for pregnant) WE hope that your winter goes well and we look forward to seeing you when you start up again. Jim and Janelle in New Zealand
Your project has been a huge highlight through every update since discovering the channel! Its been great following along, thank you everyone and cheers, looking forward to the next year! ✨️ Also congrats Rita and Dave to the secret news at the end 💙
Use those mimosa tree trunks to build raised areas for the tents. Split and fasten together flat side up. It can't be any lumpier than the ground and would get the tents up out of the wet.
I think the problem is as the mimosa wood dries it twists and bends a lot worse than your traditional soft wood. So even if its flat at the point of finishing it, a few months later after fully drying it might not be flat enough. Maybe if they could process the wood into laminated sheets, glued flat into desired thickness but thats a very extensive process
This is one of my favorite series, I remember when y'all just started and only had maybe 5 or 10K subs and I was thinking these guys need more than that. You have done so well with the land you have and have pushed through the adversity and created something beautiful. Cheers to next season!
I grew up near a commune in the 1970's, some of those people still live there, you all remind of those young idealists. It's an amazing way of life, when all burdens are shared.
Hats off to the Editing and Media team! Best video outputs so far out of all the seasons ❤ Also, congratulations to Dave and Rita! Best Project Kamp Season ever!
It's already the end of the season!? Damn, I'm gonna miss you guys.😥It was a good season. Can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us next. See you next year 👋❤ Also, congratulations Rita & Dave. Hope the baby will be a healthy one!👶
The Stone House has got to be one of the best transformations of any of the buildings in the camp! Amazing teamwork and variety of skills to make it come together! Looks great, have a great winter, see you in the spring😀👍
So nice to see how people just gathered together to give birth to this humble and finally amazing project. Building, recycling, learning, sharing and enjoying to make a forgotten place in the country side better liveable. It's a concept should be exported anywhere. I hope you will continue to share and exchange with local people for a perfect integration in the landscape. Can't wait for new adventures in the "projectkamp".
The soundtrack and placement are a huge improvement. Thanks for making it pleasant. The work on the ruin looks fantastic. True craft-persons-ship. You all did an excellent job on everything.

True. It was episode 4 when I came in contact with project kamp. And now it's been three years.. first song to hear, and it's been the best..

It's already the end of the season!? Damn, I'm gonna miss you guys.😥It was a good season. Can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us next. See you next year 👋❤
Also, congratulations Rita & Dave. Hope the baby will be a healthy one!👶
The roof of the ruin would be a great place for solar panels
The Stone House has got to be one of the best transformations of any of the buildings in the camp! Amazing teamwork and variety of skills to make it come together! Looks great, have a great winter, see you in the spring😀👍
That looks amazing. Well done Project Kamp.
Thank you for this year!! ❤❤❤
