I’ve been watching from when you had a few hundred subscribers and a big flat pointed sheet of plywood on the on the floor. You are absolutely amazing in what you have created and I am very excited to see this project on the water as I know you are also . Dragonfly is looking great 👍I’m in the U.S. Kansas
Hey Steve, just came through a period of -35 C the past couple of weeks. We all have our demons. Hope you slay yours! lol Always look forward to seeing your video's to help dispel the snow-time blues. Keep up the good work, as I enjoy every minute of it..... sometimes twice. Cannot beat the sweet lounging music.
Thanks mate! Did we come to mind while you were masking up? Haha you’re also one of few people that pronounce Iefke’s name correctly the first time! Keep up the good work, you’ll be floating way before us! 😢
Hi Steve, these songs of yours really have grown on me to the point of ‘wiggling tows’ level 😉 so keep’m in there! Boot looks great and is getting better every episode 👊🏼
Thanks Erik, I haven't done any more music for a while as the boat is taking all my energy. Hopefully I will jump on a guitar over the Christmas break :) Take care.
Everything looks amazing Steve, love that look of white surfaces with wood accents. I worked on homes for over 37 years, mostly on homes built in the early 1900's and in that time masked up quite a bit of wood beams, trim and hardware, I feel your struggle here. I used an old picture frame on big jobs, laid down a bunch of tape strips on the glass or plastic and cut a bunch of short pieces for the corner/hardware work with a knife. No disrespects intended here, not telling you how to do your job.....just thought I'd mention it. Anyways great job and hope Miss Maple is staying cool.
I think it should be around 10 inches (250mm) That was the draft of the last one I built. Cheers, thanks as usual for watching and leaving a comment. Me and the dog :)
Indeed it does. I used to do a lot of business with the USA and had many late nights, early mornings (1am, 2am etc) putting calls in to the USA while everyone here was fast asleep.
dang Steve , it's looking like a proper gentleman's motor yacht , do you have a launch date in mind ?? , I really don't want to be negative but I am curious why you painted the trim on the wall that separates wall and ceiling , would have looked real nice varnished and matched the beams ,,, but still looks great Steve
Yep, I hear ya, but that trim is just ply with an unattractive edge, so white it is. No launch date as I don't want to drive myself even more crazy, but I am going as fast as my old body will let me :) Thanks again for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers, Steve and Miss Maple the mutt
Hello hello hello, no keel at all, completely flat with the bottom rising up from the front of the wheelhouse to the bow, just like a surfboard. There are internal beams that run length wise which act as a keel, but on the inside. This gives us a super shallow draft so we can negotiate some of the tricky areas where there are a lot of sand bars etc in the river. Cheers, Steve and the mighty Maple
Beautiful stuff Steve
yes, yes, yes, thank you thank you thank you LOL
Absolutely beautiful !!! Nice job Steve can't wait seeing it in the water 😊take care of yourself 👌👋
Well thank you. It is finally starting to look like a boat. All the best to you, and thanks for leaving a comment. Steve and Maple
Doesn't matter how big a shed you have , you'll always manage to fill it...
One great Gin Place...😊
You are so right. Maybe a gin and tonic once the boat is in the water. If I have too much now, she will never get finished. LOL Steve and Maple

Thanks Bruce. Sounds like you need a good rum/hot chocolate by the fire. Keep warm and dry. Cheers from the other side of the planet. Steve and maple
@@steveshierdoesstuff7420 Wouldn't be the first as I have chosen this lot. Really do enjoy your video's and the progress you're making. Keep it up.

Great advice, thank you. I will explore some of those ideas when I get to the galley and aft areas. Take care, Steve and the dog
Steve what is the boats draft.... How much does it go below water level

I guess being down under when the sun sets the day begins?

@ Well OK then, that boat is going to be awesome! Fit for a king, or a Trump!
@@user-Mike755 or a guitar picking drum tapping boat building guy :)
The thing that you put on shelves to retain stuff on them are called "fiddles" for some reason
Really? Well I have learnt something LOL I will check out what's available that might suit theat shelf. Thanks. Steve and Maple

Steve you say "Flat Bottomed" is there a small keel or just completely flat? Anyways looking great!
