Bro. You type is Camry remote battery change and you pop up with a simple, short to the point video. Freaking 10stars and a subscriber just for those reasons
Thank you so much for the clear demonstration. You saved me $75! You can mention to the audience that they need to gently slide the new battery at an angle..
Licence to print money with Toyota. Followed the instructions and yes had no problem opening the key fob. Only to find the button battery in my fob is a very slim profile battery. Most button batteries can lay my hands on a thicker. What a Ballache
Make sure the sidewall of the battery (part of the + top side) is contacting the prongs that stick out from the upper side of the fob. Somehow I was able to put a new battery in and it wasn't working.
A sad story: I've changed a bunch of these over the years, simple stuff. I went to the local Batteries Plus, told them I needed a new battery in my key. Kid took it, said OK, replaced the battery. I ASSUMED he was just gonna do it as a courtesy. He charged me $26.00 for that little favor. That's *GOUGING*. Lesson learned. Always ask before you buy.
I have the same key for my 2007 Toyota Camry but the only thing is I don’t have the red rubber that you put on top of the battery. Do you know where I can get one?
All that is doing is helping put pressure on the battery to keep it in place in case it gets dropped. You can stick pieces of folded paper or napkins in there to get the same effect.
My key fob stopped working, I thought it was the battery so I changed it. But it still doesn’t work. I thought oh maybe I missed a step or something so I hopped on TH-cam to find out if I did. I did exactly what you did, but still doesn’t work. What can it be?

THANK YOU!! Now trying to find someone near me who recycles the old batteries. Staples doesn't take them but I've heard that Lowe's and Home Depot do.
The garbage can will do the job just fine
Thank you, you saved me from breaking my key fob!

How to further open to clean circuit contacts?
I'd just use some vinegar on a qtip and gently clean off any corrosion you can access through the normal battery slot.
I have the same remote for 2017, but the battery is cr1620
I fucking love TH-cam
