I have a 2006 Toyota Camry key fob that quit working. I changed the battery and reprogrammed it with a tutorial…and I could hear the lock buttons cycle…but then it still wouldn’t work to lock/unlock my doors with the remote. I’m still having to use do it manually with the key. Could you please advise me on what to do now? Thank you so much in advance!!
Sounds like the problem might be bigger than the remote - maybe the electronics that actually move the locks are failing and need to be replaced, especially given the age of the vehicle.

Hi! For the 2021 Camry SE, the specific chip you need depends on the key type and the vehicle's specifications. If it's a standard key, the chip will show on the key blade it should be DOT, H, or G, If that's a flip key, it will mostly show as H. For a smart key, the emergency key doesn't have a chip.

Don't do it . I'm a 35yr old 3rd gen locksmith. Its cheap enough that it's worth going to a key guy to get it done. If you BRICK your cars computer by making a mistake or using crap tools your going to the dealership... (my girlfriend in another state brocked her Nissan, lucky a locksmith fixed it for $150 nissan wanted $1250.00, Bricked Toyota's have the computer replaced tho, no locksmith can help at that point) and being in this trade I've had nothing but trouble outta these type of do it yourself fob tools. The cars have gotten to technical for the adverage Joe... Just be careful
