2024 KEGA BREAM GEORGES RIVER

n this session I headed back to fish the deep water. I met up with Andrew Death and we used a variety of vibes to target Bream.
There were plenty of things coming up on the sounder and within 15 minutes I was onto a "kega" Bream weighing in at 1.13kg. We continued fishing and moving around the area landing half a dozen or so Bream a few Flathead and trevally for what as a 10/10 weather day on the water.
Fishing the deep open water areas for Bream is fairly new to me along with using Vibes, so it was great to spend time vibing and learning how to fish them.
The Ecogear vx35 and 40 were great as well as the Baby Vibe.
I also had a flick with one of Andrews Diawa rod and reals which was super light and responsive.

Nice one Mick. I wonder if the big winter bream lay low in the holes during winter and venture out at night?

There have been some great captures by various fishos over the winter. A fair few 1kg+ fish have been caught on lures. Not sure how the bait fishos have been going as I mostly follow the Lure scene. Night fishing would be interesting. Probably more of a chance on bait at night 👍🏻
