The price can vary, but typically it is in the $2500 - $3000 range.

I have a piano that is about 120 years old. I love the way it looks. Most of the piano keys are in fairly good shape, but I'm guessing most would need to replaced internally to keep it. Is it even worth it to consider restringing a piano like this? How much does a project like this cost?

By the way, I'm a violinist and I have to change the strings on my instrument and do occasional minor repairs to it.

Typically on average the cost of new strings and tuning pins would be around $800.

howardpianoind me too however after I tuned them for a week they go out of tune again so I wonder their stability is bad?

I haven't had this problem before with the Boston pianos.

@@jakegyllenhaal6088 Same here. They really don't stay in tune, and I wonder if it's poor seasoning or the wood, or construction

The pin block must have acquired some cracks some how. Boston pianos have the best 11-ply pin blocks in the industry!@@user-li9ex9qp2i
