- 👋 In todays review we check out the latest generation for the RAM 3500 Limited MegaCab! This particular truck has around $10K worth of aftermarket accessories and is tastefully done! The RAM 3500 is a work truck designed for towing, but for it's price tag, it's also a comfortable and luxurious place to be! If you need a truck, but also want to enjoy the drive, this has everything you could possibly want! The exterior has a nice and bold appearance! It's a huge truck, but all the proportions look great and even with the wide rear flares, still looks great! The interior is really where this truck shines with all the tech and features that I go over! And also being the MegaCab, you have plenty of rear storage and room for full size adults! It's a very spacious truck and provides a lot if you need this style of vehicle! The driving experience even with the aftermarket suspension drove very nicely! And the power! Wow!! For an empty truck with no trailer, it moves for its weight! I'm very impressed with this RAM and how it drives and could only imagine how well this will pull a trailer down the road with ease!

Facts

Actually speaking, I think for the money and it's towing capacity it's a reasonable price.
Clarity for folks, the truck being shown is modified top to bottom. Under the hood, the Banks Performance mods are several thousand dollars themselves. Same for the roof rack and even more on the front bumper and lighting in it. Then there's the suspension. This truck is in the real price range of $130K.
I mentioned in the video it had several mods! Those don’t transfer to more money necessarily but to the right buyer it could.
Buying one in 3 weeks I’ve watched this 20 times I can’t wait 😅

Great video. I am looking at buying one with leaf suspension. How rough is it unladen compared to a coiled suspension truck like say the 2500? What is the fuel consumption like? Can you talk a bit more about these two points?
What’s your opinion of the patriot blue colour?
They all have a leaf suspension in the rear.. not sure what pickup truck has coils in the rear, but all I can tell you is the info I stated in the video. I don't have ownership experience to tell you what mpg is like in real world driving.
I'm a fan of blue, but color choice is a personal choice, so just depends on what you will enjoy seeing everyday!

That thing is going to weigh 9000 not 6800 pounds. 6000 pounds payload? $80,000? Where exactly are you getting all your info from? People are going to show up to the dealership and want to pay $80,000 for this thing and be pissed when it’s 30k more lol
I totally agree and for $80k I would buy it.
This Ram weights 6,800 pounds and has a payload of 6K pounds. Rams website has that info, so not sure where you are getting your numbers from.
I also stated “starting” MSRP, so that will depend on options as to the cost.
Used market prices will also differ because of availability.

Gotta get the options if your wanting a luxury truck. I placed a new 2023 order for $109,875 for the limited.

Those are actually factory wheels on this truck. They’re amazing wheels that many take for granted, ALCOA forged wheels iirc. Beautiful truck.

That’s a 110k factory truck. With those options I would put it at 130 or more. I’m betting if you ordered this from wild willies truck it would be 150

This truck without any of these extra parts costs 110k alone. Look up wild willies custom order trucks. Its a dealer in Georgia. Ram makes the most expensive heavy duty truck out right now . Actually Ben hardy just posted this exact same truck a week or 2 ago . Without the extra bumpers etc . Was 110 . If you pay a dealer to install these when you purchase it new . This truck will be between 130-150 . Maybe you should review something you know more about. Because this isn’t your strong suit. Sorry
On a normal Ram, that Ram logo would be blacked out. That was a color match done by the dealer or the owner.

I have the exact truck and color minus the lift, I average 15-16mpg city and 18-20mpg hwy. Bone stock with no engine mods, love the truck but I don’t see that one going for 80k 🤣

@@BrosFOURRSpeed - It's available in the build-your own configurator. I did all kinds of configuration before purchasing mine, including the 3500 Limited as shown in this video. I ended up with a Ram 1500 (70K).

It either has a 6 or 8 speed. Pretty sure it was an 8 speed after driving it.

If that's the Cummins high output as stated, it will be paired with the 6 spd. Aisin transmission. Even the Cummins standard output will come with the 68rfe and that's also a 6 spd., not sure where an 8 speed was said in this video? The only way there's an 8 spd. would be if there's a Hemi 6.4 in there.
Gotta love non truck guys talking about what a truck weighs and giving it two extra gears…… and not a night edition according to the chrome Ram badge.
@@IR8GRANDSRT8 I had a 50:50 on the gears, different engines have different gears so minor mistake. The weight is correct. It happens..

They are simulated ALCOA (Chinese knock off) wheels and are part of the night edition.

You are definitely off on the weight. My 21 3500 Longhorn Ltd MegaCab SRW w the HO Cummins has a GVWR of 12,300 pounds & a max payload of 3,775 pounds. Thus the truck weighs 8,525 pounds. I’ve seen different numbers on the web, but it doesn’t mean they are true. Some variance may be due to trim level. Also $80,000 will not get you a fully loaded Limited dually with the Cummins. ~$10k for Standard output; over $12k for HO Cummins. If you have a dealer that is selling for that much under sticker please let us know. I’d love to order a new 2023. However, you are right. The RAM 3500 is a GREAT truck. Sharp, comfortable, great ride & powerful.
I watched your video again & you never say this is a NEW truck or any reference to the year or mileage. You only mention it’s the latest generation of Ram 3500. So it might be possible to get THIS truck for $80K. It’s a good video but referencing the weight ratings on the driver side door & frame would help validate your claims on weight.
I’m using the Ram website for that number. I would say they have a good idea of the weight. This isn’t a new vehicle but it still has a lot of options, so it’ll be expensive on the used market and especially in todays market.

This is what it looks like to pay 6 figures for a capably useless truck. Let’s be real, no one with any brains to show for, buys a truck like this to offroad with. That thing now can’t even tow remotely what it was designed to be able to do. This is just a daily driver and that’s about it.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed with all that balloon tire, it now has side wander, therefore greatly reducing the amount it can tow. Now it’s also got huge tires, also reducing the amount it can tow because not the gear ratio at which the truck was designed to tow the most at, is no longer. This truck is useless to anyone who works their truck, but is a huge bonus for anyone looking to look pretty driving it. A truck like this fall into more money than brains.
This truck is perfect for the college jock, who has to drive a 1 ton knowing the heaviest thing being towed will be a jet ski
@@Subi_doo I wouldn’t agree with that. I put 35’s on my Tacoma, stock is a 31 and that didn’t effect towing in any way. This is still a very capable truck. The side wall you talk about won’t effect that at all.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed with those tires, this thing is probably humming at 3000-3500 rpm at 75 mph on the highway. Greatly reducing the amount it can tow. Fluids will over heat with any load greater than 8-10k, and mpg will be low single digits. Everything you do to a truck dealing with suspension, and tires/wheels, will in some degree alter the capability of it. It may not be noticeable to people who don’t use their rig for work, but those who do, will notice drastic changes in its handling and ability. With the large sidewalk, trailering will seem squirmy and their will be a lot of trailer wandering going on because the tow rig is not stable on its own. So maybe it’s not completely useless, but you’ve now got 1/3rd the orignal tow capability.

That truck does not weigh 68 hundred pounds. Not even close. A stock dually in those specs is weighing in at bare minimum 9 thousand. And that's with no fuel in it

DEFINITELY WEIGHS MORE THEN 9 MOTHA fuggin thousand pounds. But here ya go. I'll school you smart guy. They have a GVWR of 14 thousand pounds. They have a cargo cap of anywhere from 4500 pounds to 4900 pounds. Subtract cargo from the GVWR and you got your fucken weight of the truck. BAAAAM next time know your shit before you open it.

So I'll school you 1 more time and I'm done wasting my time on fools. So here we go. First off you did specs on a crew cab short box. Not a mega cab which is the equivalent of a crew long bed as far as Frame length so there's at least a 500 pound difference with the length and added metal to make that length. OK so moving on. Now we move on to your choice to compare is a hemi not a diesel. The difference between the 2 is I belive 4 to 5 hundred pounds more for the diesel. Now moving onto the dually 2 extra rims and tires and added weight of the axle itself. See where I'm going with this. Good lord man. Attention to detail is a very important life lesson. Learn some

You might want to research more and pay attention to what’s shown in a video. Hope that helps you in the future.. using specs from the Ram website as I provided, so if you have an issue with the specs, take it up with them.
