For my own videos I prefer the flexibility of hand held to a tripod. It allows me to follow the subject and move. I have recently started using a monopod to reduce the strain on my arms and shoulders. That seems to be working, without introducing too much inflexibility.
Thank you. Yes, filming hand held with the ability to pan and zoom certainly makes for more interesting shots, but I do like to try and keep a photo record too which is my issue.
Yes, it's definitely better to see the whole train, even taking photos I want to get the whole train in shot and the background too. I often count the coaches, just to make sure the right number are there!
The freehand zoom style works for me mate, love how it accentuates the curve of the rail going around the 'dive under'...
Thanks. Yes, certainly the zoom on it makes for a more powerful shot.

Looked good to me , steadier than I could hold a camera . Nice scenes and a great mix of trains .
Thank you, much appreciated.

Awesome video i love watching your videos 🎉 have you ever been to Hinckley station Before me and my girlfriend live in Hinckley now
Thank you, very kind. I've only been through Hinckley, but have filmed at nearby Narborough.
Hi. I do like to see the whole train, I count the stock? Don't know why? Like hearing the engines and then wagons and coaches etc.
